I just had a new roof installed and added a couple dormers at the same time. They did have to cut into the attic/roof to complete this. I was told at the time of the work completion to let the auditor know I was NOT adding any bedrooms just fake dormers.
The person I spoke with started out nice but quickly got defensive/ angry. All I was doing was what I was told to do. Not cause problems.
So update today. I physically went in today and they were very helpful. They made sure I was taken care of and gave me a printed document that helped. Not sure why they did not tell me this when I originally called?
