He recommended that we contact our insurance company. After five adjusters and much work and encouragement from George, our insurance company paid for the roof replacement. I would have given up after their first refusal. We are very pleased with the team as they prepared the roof, placed screening to protect shrubbery, and then cleaned up afterwords. We had a water leak on a Saturday and contacted GKG. They returned our call promptly on Monday and sent a roofer in the afternoon to review the area. The roofer identified the leak which was water running down behind the siding. The roofer temporarily fixed the leak until the job of removing siding and wood could be done in good weather. The company sent an estimate, and a date was scheduled to complete the job. When the siding was removed and the damage exposed, it was exactly the way the roofer identified. The cost of the job matched the estimate. GKG provides excellent customer service, very polite, prompt follow-up, and outstanding workmanship. We will use GKG for any major remodeling and recommend them for your roofing, siding or gutter work.

We finally found a roofer who was willing to go up into the garage attic to look for the cause of our leak. A friend told me that if there was a leak George would find it. Without even being asked he went into the attic, diagnosed the problem, which was not the roof, but instead a bathroom vent issue. This was an issue that was caused 30 years ago when house was built. His employee, Lonnie was very knowledgeable and got it done. I would highly recommend GKG Roofing

We just had our roof replaced 6/15/25. We used GKG out of Pickerington and loved them! The owner George came out when I requested a quote and spent around an hour talking to us in detail, showed us pics, had shingles for us to look at and much more. Their quote had everything they said they would do so no surprises. After we signed the quote, we got the call to schedule quickly. Called me on a Friday and said can we do Monday at 7am, and they were here going at it at 6:40 and done by 4. Very professional, workers were great and did a fantastic clean up. 10/10, 100% will recommend.

Lonnie replaced flashing that had split and he also found several other issues on the roof that needed attention and took care of them too. We received a very informative estimate by George. Upon confirmation with GKG Roofing, they were able to get out to our house within 3 days. The entire replacement took only one day. The crew was very fast and efficient and left no old debris in and around the house. The shingles are top quality and make the house look 20 years younger! I highly recommend George and his business for those on the fence about getting a new roof.

George and his whole crew were great to work with through the entire process. The whole roof replacement was very smooth and they had my roof complete and were totally cleaned up in one day. I cut a tree down and a lime feel into to gutter and bent up the end of it. I called GKG and Geroge sent sent out a person that afternoon. They put on a new end cap and straightened up a good as possible for now. I will be replacing all the gutters in about a year and will definitely call GKG for that. Great service, thanks George.

Just had seamless gutters and downspouts replaced as well as having the vinyl siding and flashing around our chimney replaced. The did a great job leaving our property as clean and neat as when they arrived. George, Joey and Lonnie answered all my questions quickly and accurately. I'm happy to recommend them for their work and professionalism.

I had storm damage to my roof and one of those storm chasers promised me a new roof. When the insurance company refused replacement and only offered repair of the roof, the storm chasers quoted a ridiculous price to repair and then never followed up. GKG roofing was recommended not only by a satisfied friend but also from the insurance company. George did a great job repairing the roof and at a fair price.

GKG Roofing did a fabulous job for us installing our new roof in April! When Joe inspected the old roof, he discovered a problem with some dangerously loose siding that no other company found. He and his terrific crew did the job well and worked a long day to complete it. Even though it was late in the day when they finished, Luis, their professional and very personable job foreman, inspected their work one final time and discovered a small issue (we would never have noticed) that he immediately had fixed to his satisfaction. I found GKG Roofing from Certainteed’s website and glad I did. We were looking to replace our old roof as it was showing its age. George came out and checked out our roof, sat down with myself and my wife to thoroughly review our options, colors, and the installation process. George sent his crew out, supervised by Luis (I hope I have the spelling correct) and they stripped the roof, replacing a couple sheets of decking that was found bad along with the rest of the roof, plus a great job cleaning up. George also sent Lonnie out the same day to fix a couple pieces of siding that blew off from a windstorm. George, Luis and Lonnie and the rest of the crew were professional and will not hesitate to use their services again in the future. Thanks guys!

We noticed a leak in our ceiling after the storms that rolled through from Hurricane Helene. George was able to come out that Monday and found where the leak was coming from, in addition to discovering that most of our shingles were now loose from the wind. He helped us through entire process with insurance, which was greatly appreciated since this was our first home and we didn't know how that would work. When our claim was denied, George and team gave us pointers on how to dispute and even talked to the adjusters themselves. Although we never got the claim approved, the assistance and care from the GKG team was outstanding.

When it came time to replace the roof, the process couldn't have been easier. We were sent a packet with the different options and plenty of information on the different shingles. The crew did an amazing job of taking care of the house/yard. They had various tarps/covers to protect EVERYTHING. When it was all said and done, I picked up maybe a handful of plastic that had blown past the covers. I don't think I found a single nail in my yard, which was great since we have a dog.

George, You know who I am. You replaced my roof so maybe try replying with a different approach next time. You replaced my roof years back in thornville and I was being nice by not sharing details and pictures of the work and quality left behind but if you'd like I can go into more details here and also share pictures? So just because it was a few years back maybe you have things better together now or aren't leaving things how my home was left but just to clarify since you asked YOUR company replaced my roof and was supposed to be gutters too in thornville and trust me I received no where near 5 star quality work and i still have jacked up work left behind and a hell of a mess i had to clean up. 3 mower tires later and 2 ziploc bags full of nails as well.But we can discuss and share all this on here so everyone can see the proof if you'd like? I also have the last text messages that you said you wanted to come out and "look" over my roof after but never did hear from you again since then.

The GKG team have been excellent! The entire team goes above and beyond to make sure you are educated on the project and comfortable with how to move forward. They will work directly with your insurance company, if you need to use them (we did), to help get that part resolved as best as possible. The roof work was all completed in one day, the foreman keeps you updated during the installation/repair and they clean up every bit of debris before the leave. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

When my ceiling started leaking, I was worried. You hear stories about untrustworthy roofing companies. But I got lucky because I called GKG Roofing and spoke with George. This company is professional, does fantastic work, and they put the customer first. As it turned out, my problem was a small one that George and Lonnie fixed quickly. But I plan to have them do a full roof inspection and will be recommending them to anyone who asks. They’ve more than earned the loyalty.

So, I reached out to GKG Roofing (George) on a Wednesday evening to discuss getting it fixed. By noon the next day, GKG Roofing (Lonnie) was on site resolving my problem. It felt fantastic to have my problem addressed/resolved within 24 hours! I highly recommend giving GKG Roofing a call.

George, Lonnie, and team are fantastic. We bought an almost-100 year old home and have had a pesky water leak since we moved in. We could not be happier with the service we received from GKG. From start to finish, they were easy to work with, thorough in their communication and approach, and did a wonderful job with our roof and gutters. Roofing was fine. I was told the morning of installing new roof that my gutter guard could invalidate warranty. So they removed my existing gutter guards only to be told by owner after the fact that warranty would not be effected. Now I’m stuck with no guards.

We recently bought into a house and was advised by our inspector that there was a need to do work on the roof. On a recommendation from our realtor we contacted George from GKG. Within 24 hours he had completed his inspection and provided us with an estimate so that we could work with the seller on remediation. George sat down with us and explained everything that would need to be repaired and then gave us a timeframe as to when his crew could do the work. He gave us a week's notice for when our job was scheduled. His crew came out, got the work done in a day and half and George visited our home twice, at the beginning and towards the end, to inspect the work. They also hauled away all the trash and cleaned up. We would highly recommend using GKG Roofing!

They did a great job on our roof last year. George did a great job explaining and the price was in range with other companies. The crew was respectful and hard working. They even took the time to wave at my daughter as she was watching out the window. I was especially impressed because I brought up a concern this year fall about finding a tile on the ground. I was concerned with the storms. George replied within 12 hours and had a worker out to my house the next day. Thankfully it was just a spare tile and the roof still looked great. He also looked into a concern I had about a nail that I could see after my siding was adjusted by another company. They were great to work with.

My neighbors both replaced their roofs this summer, and where I may have chosen one of them to do our roof , I was not very impressed with the other. When the smoke cleared I was left a beatiful roof, right down to every detail, from the way they flashed the chimney to the drip edge color used. GKG Roofing just completed a replacement of our roof. This was the second time in 25 years they have done a roof replacement for us. George was very knowledgeable and excellent to work with while reviewing roof options. His price was very competitive and he provided options that were easy to understand while making a selection. I highly recommend GKG Roofing. My roof needed replaced and I called a couple contractors to come out. GKG roofing was my second contractor, and I am VERY satisfied with their work. The owner, George came out and assessed the roof. He was very honest on what needed to be done. He took the time to explain everything to me, so I knew what to expect. There were issues with my exhaust fan, my roof was also not vented properly, and he made sure everything was fixed. If they ran into any issues, he made sure I was informed the entire time. He did not tack on any extra labor or materials. He is very honest and straight to the point which is very reassuring when you need to hire someone for work. I have been burned countless number of times with shady contractors/workers. I did not worry about the work on my house at all. They tore everything off the roof and had the new roof and decking completed all in one day.

He also helped with getting my siding replaced. It started off as some repairs and we ended up having to replace a lot more siding than we expected (mainly bc it was only wood siding). He had his siding guys out and they also did an amazing job. They even repaired more than we expected due to rotten wood. He also did not charge anything extra for that. The siding is in better condition than when we moved in. The paint job was completed in one day. I had multiple walls that needed replaced and then painted. The paint matches perfectly, and you can’t even tell the difference from the rest of the house.

If I ever need work done on my house again, I will give George a call. The work on the roof, the siding, and the paint on the siding looks phenomenal! I couldn’t be any happier!

We had serious damage to a rubber roof from a raccoon. I called GKG and they came out the same day. I thought they were coming out to estimate the repairs. To my surprise they estimated the work and were prepared to fix several damaged areas on the spot. George and Lonnie are very kind, professional, and extremely experienced with all types of roofing. GKG Roofing did an incredible job with our roof from the first visit to the finished work. When George, the owner, came out to inspect our roof, he did the most thorough inspection of any of the companies we had assess the state of the roof. He spotted areas that could potentially leak right then and recommended getting up a tarp as soon as possible. He was back the next day to do just that. He let us know our roof replacement should definitely be covered by insurance, and was ready to be with the assessor when they came to inspect. He reviewed the insurance assessment we received and worked directly with our insurance company and got them to increase the assessed cost of the replacement by over $5000 which made a big difference in the amount we received from the insurance company. They were able to get to the work sooner than expected and completed the project in a single day and it looks amazing! And they made the extra effort to get our range hood output to the roof from inside the attic so that it would vent outside which was greatly appreciated. That extra effort, the careful care taken of the house as they worked, and the quality of the work and material were just fantastic, and George touched base with us throughout the experience. I highly recommend George and his company GKG Roofing to anyone in need roof work.

A bad leak developed in one of the bedrooms – rain was pouring in. I called the company who installed the new roof in 2020, and they said it would be two weeks before they could even look at the problem. I then contacted George at GKG Roofing because of all the positive reviews. The very next morning, George sent Lonnie (one of his service techs) to look at the leak. Lonnie climbed on our roof in the rain and also looked at the damage in the bedroom and attic. It turned out that the original roofers broke the exhaust pipe and used siding tape to “seal” it instead of replacing it. Lonnie said that I will need a plumber to fix it. After all that work and time, George did not charge me a penny. Instead, they recommended a company that can fix our pipe and leak. George and Lonnie are extremely attentive, caring, and helpful. I hope all of you that need a roofer call George at GKG Roofing!

I had a great experience with GKG Roofing. I talked to George many years ago but ended up moving instead of re-roofing at the time. Then when I needed a roof on my current house, I remembered I had liked George. He is trustworthy and thorough and we felt very comfortable and like we were getting a great deal with an experienced, respected company. He was very humble but he had the receipts. Highly recommend GKG Roofing. Just had our roof replaced and can’t say enough good things about George and his crew. We had them out several years ago for a storm assessment, again a couple years ago to fix a small leak and felt sure we would be pressured to replace the roof, but that was not the case! I have used GKG roofing several times, the first time they put a new roof on my owner occupied home and they had it done in one day. The second time I thought I needed new roof on one of my rental properties and after they inspected the roof they said it just needed a few repairs and a cleaning. It would have been very easy to say I need a new roof but George the owner was honest and fixed the problem.
I would highly recommend GKG roofing.

George did a great job replacing our roof and I highly recommend him and his crew for your roofing needs. He also added gutters to our other buildings and they look and function great.

While I have not actually used their services as of yet, their professionalism is not only fantastic, but is with extreme knowledge of the roofing business. I sincerely hope that I'm able to do business with them in the very near future!

GKG Roofing is the best! George and his crew did a great job replacing our roof over a decade ago and it still looks great. Especially after I hired his roof washing company to clean it. I have called him a couple times since then after storms and as always he shows up and inspects our roof, takes pics and then walks me through all our options. Fortunately, George told us that no damage was done with this last storm and to call him with any future questions I may have. I will continue to highly recommend George and his guys at every opportunity.

We contacted George yesterday about a leak around our chimney. He came to our house the next day and fixed the problem. In today’s world, it’s wonderful to meet an honest contractor. We are thinking about replacing our siding and his company is on the top of our list.

I needed assistance with a chimney box leaking in my living room ceiling. George was able to get someone out the same day! Lonnie, the tech arrived on time and got it sealed up right the first time, just ahead of a full week of rain! Can't thank you guys enough! Very reasonable also!

I reached out to GKG recently (2025) about a gutter concern and not knowing who to turn to, and they came out and again, completed the job, to my liking. Great company to work with!

We called GKG to replace the steel roof on our 40 year old garage that had developed several leaks. Even though this was a relatively small job, George gave this the full attention that he would a larger job. If I called they got back to me the same day unlike other companies that may not call back at all. He was personally on-site several times often climbing ladders. When he was here I mentioned that my summer job would be to paint the building. Since I am retired and have no business on a ladder, George offered to paint the building. GKG turned this old garage into a beautiful part of our home. We had GKG completely restore our home about 3 years ago with new roofing, siding, soffits and gutters. This is a company that has , knowledge, experience, and integrity that can be trusted to do a high quality job. And their prices are reasonable!

We had a small leak in our roof. I called the company that installed my roof 12 years ago. They said its not a leak. Tried to say it was condensation from the bathroom. Even though it only happened when it would rain! Plus you could see where it was coming from.
So i looked for another company. GKG has 5 stars and I found out why. I called them on a Thursday, and they came out that next day. Note: This was not a bad leak, but they didnt make me wait.
Lonnie came out and I showed him what I'm seeing. After about 20mins of inspections of the roof and in the attic he told me what the issue was. Told me he could fix it that day. Took him about 30mins. He fixed a couple other areas that was not leaking but could if not address. Basically the roofer that did the roof 12 years ago mis-fired nails.
We have not had a down pour yet, but after the last couple small rains and snow I have been up in the attic and the leak is gone. Lonnie said if i see anything in the next couple months to call them back and they will come back out.
When my roof needs replaced in the future I know who I'm calling.

Update: We had another small leak in a different location. Called George late on Friday. He came out Monday mid morning, he inspected our roof showed me the issue with a nail pop. He had Lonnie out at the house by 2pm that same afternoon. Lonnie was professional as before. Made the repairs. I know who my roofing company is for life at this point. The really hustle to take care of their clients.

Update 5/21/2024 We had heavy winds that knocked down a piece of siding. Texted George at GKG on Sunday. Tuesday his people came by and reattached the piece of siding at no cost. Very nice of GKG!

4 years ago GKG installed a new roof on our home doing an excellent job.
A couple months ago a hail storm came through our neighborhood with golf ball size hail causing dozens of roofing companies to invade our community.
Instead of allowing any of the so called roofing companies on my roof I called George to stop by and look at it at his convenience.
This week two of his employees stopped by and one went on the roof ( with Roof Shoes on )to carefully examine the roof while the other used a drone to inspect every corner, edge, flashing and even the cupola.
Afterwards they concluded there was no damage and even retrieved a baseball that was in my spouting. All at no cost.
This says volumes about not only their quality of work but the honesty and integrity of the company they represent.
The only roofers that’ll be on my roof will be from GKG.

George and his team responded quickly to a roof leak. The technician took the time to go over the likely cause and multiple ways to resolve the issue. He was friendly, professional, and very thorough. George then followed up with me that evening. I could not have asked for better service and pricing.

UPDATE: After a month, the leak returned and George came out to look at the condition. During the site visit, he identified wind damage to the overall roof. He then worked with my homeowner’s claims representatives to obtain a claim for a new roof. Mr. Gilliland then provided excellent communication about the replacement process and product choices. He provided a detailed estimate and worked to keep costs as low as possible while providing a roof system that is much higher quality then my previous system.

Of note, I won’t name names, but I was in touch with a very large roofing company who suggested that I caulk the area of the leak myself and then begin saving for a new roof. While I believe this company’s intentions were to save me money on a repair, their lack of diligence failed to find the additional damage. George easily exceeded their efforts.

Finally, the roof installation went very smoothly, and we have a beautiful, high-quality, and durable roofing system. George provided an excellent service with integrity and diligence. I highly recommend GKG roofing!

UPDATE: 07/31/2024 Roof has been excellent for 5 years, no leaks and no issues at all. I've recommended GKG to at least 3 people, and they have had great experiences as well.

The recent wind storms had damaged two of my downspouts and some flashing. I called George and his staff got to it right away for a very reasonable service/repair fee. Happy to continue to recommend GKG!!

Thanks to George and his crew Mike and company for the expert job on our roof. I know it was not an easy roof to do along with the nasty heat !! George listened to us and made great solutions to giving us what we needed and wanted. The roof is outstanding and makes the house look great. Price was very fair and quality of materials are second to none. The roof had a few features to it as well as a mix of areas that needed rubber roofing as well as the asphalt shingles married together. Definitely a 10 star job. Your welcome to use our house as a model !!!

Update! Recent hail storm on 4/2/25 and many neighbors around us have roof damage. Would you believe the asphalt shingles George installed on our home have no damage? It's true! You get what you pay for!!! Thank you!
