*** Not A Local Company any more sold out to private equity*** While Wildwood Roofing did a good job on the actual roofing, their customer care was severely lacking. From the beginning, communication was an issue. I made it clear upfront that our business would be open during the installation, and I was assured they would be mindful of our guests by not throwing roofing and gutter materials near the front entrance. Unfortunately, this wasn’t communicated to the crew. Despite multiple calls to address the issue, nothing changed. Materials continued to be thrown into walkways, creating hazards for our guests.
There was also a language barrier with the on-site crew, which made addressing the issues difficult. To make matters worse, I received no call-backs from customer service or management. After my seventh call, I was told, ‘Well, it’s over now, and your roof looks good, so what’s the issue?’ This dismissive attitude was incredibly frustrating.
The guest experience was awful throughout the entire process. For example, I received an email requesting my deposit payment two weeks after my check had already cleared. The crew also showed up late for the job and had to reschedule twice. Not to mention, there was damage to my siding, and materials were left outside for two weeks without being picked up.
I felt like I was being gaslit throughout this experience—there was constant bait-and-switch from the sales team. They overpromised and severely under-delivered on expectations. The roof is good, but the gutters are just ‘ok.’ If you’re just looking for a functional roof, Wildwood Roofing can deliver. But if you expect respect for your property and genuine customer care, I’d look elsewhere
Update . . . Unfortunately, wildwood roofing cause significant damage to the siding while removing materials, leaving multiple holes. Despite reaching out multiple times, they have refused to return our calls or come back to repair the damage. Their explanation was that the siding is old, but we believe that should have been accounted for in their initial bid.
Attached are photos showing the large holes they created. This has caused additional stress and frustration, as it seems they are unwilling to take responsibility for the damage they caused. We will continue to pursue a resolution.
Here’s the updated response:
I continue to be gaslighted by Wildwood Roofing, and their response to my review is just another example. Not once has the owner personally reached out to resolve any of the issues. My concerns remain the same: roofing materials were thrown at my guests, debris was not picked up, and there’s now a holes in my siding and a shoddy gutter job. If wildwood roofing couldn’t handle the scope of my project, knowing it was a 115-year-old building, you should never have taken the job.
We specifically discussed the age of the building and the roof, and I was assured by your team that you could handle the work confidently. I was also assured that your team would respect my guests and not throw materials near the entrance of my business while we were open. Instead, roofing materials were thrown dangerously close to my customers.
What’s even more frustrating is that you had time to respond to my Google review, but I’m still waiting on a call from the owner to resolve these issues. On top of this, I’m left with damage to my building and the additional expense of paying someone else to haul away the trash your crew left behind. This has been a frustrating and unprofessional experience from start to finish.
