West Virginia Insurance Company

So my girlfriends basement wall fell in. Due to rain and mud against the exterior wall. Which the house was built up against and the agent seen when doing the appraisal for insurance. Now they are saying its not covered due to earth movement clause in policy. Well the policy is under mud in the basement and we can't see it. They refuse to email it because its a "secure document" and the agent who was out to lunch 30 min ago is now gone for the day. Worst customer service and worse then that is the lack of empathy for a single mother with kids. I would rate them with negative stars if possible. Please go pay the little higher rates with a REAL COMPANY. Because this place is a joke.

Wow the last experience was great, Rob Stewart is the greatest, I called on Monday, he was here on Tuesday morning. My house was completely destroyed by fire. Rob was friendly, quick, and most kind. He processed my bills and took care of everything. He restored my faith in WV Insurance. Thanks Rob!

I had a tornado hit my house, broke two windows, blew off the roof, tore the gutters off of the house and moved my house an inch off, cracked my foundation in three places. This was June 14, 2021 @ 10:30 pm.
Mr Dana Nutt was the adjuster, they paid for the roof, the windows, and the gutters. But Mr Nutt insisted that it could not have moved my house, or it wouldn’t be standing. When this house was built, by a master carpenter, when the blocks were laid, he filled the blocks with cement and rebar. My front door does not shut, without leaving cracks, the ceiling tiles in my living room were sucked up, the attic door was sucked up into the attic, a window in the basement was sucked into the basement about one inch, an the house has moved about an inch on it’s foundation. Nothing is level. IT SUCKS!! The real kicker is that WV Insurance has insured this house since it was built. There have been no other claims about this. And I was extremely upset about this. Since all the snow and rain came this winter, MY BASEMENT IS LEAKING. I sincerely hope Mr Nutt, is happy. Maybe he saved the company money, but isn’t that what insurance is for? I have lost all faith in this company! He wouldn’t even acknowledge that a tornado hit my house. But it did, and there is a path of destruction for two miles, several large white oaks (including the very large one in my front yard), tore the siding off my neighbors house, took out two of my fruit trees, I took pictures of the destruction, which was more than Nutt did.

I would rate this 1/4 star if possible, worst customer service I think I’ve ever dealt with. Put least amount as possible into helping you.. There filing and booking system sucks they lost my payment then canceled me then swore I never made payment when they even sent my payment confirmation in the mail. “Would not recommend”
