I can't fully express my gratitude for Edgar and his team. They beautifully sanded and refinished 65-year-old hardwood floors to match the character of the home. They removed two horrible lava rock fireplace surrounds and a wood burning stove. The walls were expertly repaired and the texture matched to what was already on the rest of the walls in the home. One of the best things beyond the amazing restoration was the camaraderie and hard work by the team. Professional, on time, and excellent work. Pricing was very reasonable and fair, and all work completed on time. I highly recommend!

I needed to have a section of bamboo flooring replaced in my kitchen, after a water leak from my refrigerator, as well as a couple of other small flooring projects, and all of these were repaired flawlessly. Two crew members worked most of the day to get the job done and, now, my floor is as good as new. The quality of the work showed me that the crew is highly experienced and knowledgeable, reminding me of "old world" craftsmanship. As I proceed with my kitchen remodel and other projects, I will be using them again with complete confidence.

I highly recommend Edgar and his skilled crew for your next house project. My house interior project was 23 years in the making, after we moved to Olympia. The three bedroom house (built 1955) we purchased at the time had new wall to wall carpeting installed but we knew underneath there should be beautiful hardwoods. Fast forward to 2024, we needed our house to be wheelchair friendly. That was our motivation and Washington Hardwoods Floors and Restorations made it happen! They repainted the interior, laid new LVP tile flooring and refinished the hardwood floors throughout.
For my family this project was a big deal moving out for a couple of weeks and Edgar helped us navigate all the details with stellar customer service, timely communications and excellent workmanship. They also moved our furniture out and back in. We had no surprises and felt confident throughout the job. It turned out - simply beautiful.

Edgar responded to my inquiry to refinish our hardwood floors and set an appointment to come to our home. I was sent a bid soon after. What impressed me originally was that he followed up with me the very next day to see if I had any questions and to give me times they could begin work. He stayed in touch with me, and I asked for a contract, which he sent later that day. I asked for a couple of changes and the contract was returned promptly. Having been a business owner myself, I was very happy with his level of responsiveness.

Edgar checked in daily with his crew as they worked. Carlos, Jose and Ernesto know what they’re doing and work very hard. They asked for my feedback and were very accommodating. We ended up having them install the floor base, and when we found I needed to order a bit more to finish the job, Edgar said they’d come back when convenient to finish the installation.

The floor is absolutely beautiful, and the molding looks great, as well. All in all, this company was a pleasure doing business with because they all have high standards of customer service. I highly recommend Washington Hardwood Floors and Restorations!

Great job installing our new solid hardwood floors! Prices were reasonable and workers were fast and efficient. The entire team was very friendly and made sure we were completely satisfied with all work completed. They also completed drywall and windowsill repair/ replacement and it looks flawless. It was very nice to work with WA hardwood floors and restoration. When they arrived to assess my floors I wasn’t sure whether I needed my floors redone or restored. To my surprise they advised I could just restore the floors as a complete refinish was unnecessary and expensive. I scheduled my floors and only had to wait two weeks. After they completed their work I had small concerns to discuss with them and they came all the way out to Union the very next day so they could see it with their own eyes. Once they arrived, I was provided a thorough explanation of what might have occurred and they fixed it in just a couple of hours. My floors look brand new!! Very professional, kind, courteous, and responsive. I recommend them to anyone wanting to spruce up their floors. Highly highly recommend!

I can’t say enough great things about Washington Hardwood Floors and Restorations! A few months ago I needed the my siding completely redone and painted. Not only did Edgar and his team do an amazing job on all of the exterior work but they were friendly and professional! They completed the job by the deadline I was quoted at and my husband and I were so impressed by everything we also had them redo our master bathroom and kitchen! Great service and quality work in everything they did! Not only did Edgar understand all of our wants in regard to our bathroom remodel but the flooring he helped us choose (we were indecisive) really made both areas feel complete and made us feel like we have a whole new house! Will definitely be using them for future projects and recommend to anyone wanting quality work done!

We were extremely pleased with the work performed by Washington Hardwood Floors and Restorations on our hand laid wooden tile flooring and four sets of stairs. After more than 16 years, the flooring and stairs badly needed restoration. Edgar and his crew took on this challenging project that took 11 days to complete. The final results were beyond our expectations. In contrast to many contractors, Edgar was always responsive, responsible, and customer service oriented, all at a reasonable price. He sincerely wanted us to be totally satisfied with the job. We were. We would not hesitate to recommend him to others or use him on another project in the future.

Edgar and his crew did a wonderful job refinishing our 100 year old Douglas fir floors. The floors had pet stains, old paint jobs, and were in pretty rough shape. They worked with us to retain the unique character of the floors while sanding, repairing, staining, and sealing, so that we could extend the life of the floors. Edgar was a great communicator, especially when he had questions that came up during the job. He didn’t assume anything and made sure to reach out to get clarity. His crew was always professional and friendly and they got the job done on schedule and at a price that we were very happy with. Would highly recommend!

Washington Hardwood Floors did a beautiful job with my floors

The floors are twenty years old, beautiful hickory floors, but there was a lot of cupping and discoloration from long term UV exposure, and just being lived on. Now the floors look new again.

Washington Hardwood Floors are professionals, communicate frequently and thoroughly, came when they scheduled, showed up every day and worked hard and produced a beautiful restored floor.

From getting a quote to installation everything was done within a week (the actual job in one day!) and the work was very well done, we are very happy with our new kitchen and bathroom floors! Definitely recommend!

I am in love with my new dining room!!! I’ve used this team a few times in my rentals. Edgar always makes sure his teams work is perfect. This time however, it was my own homes turn. I had Edgar And his team come in and redo my dining room. New flooring and paint. !!! I bought my cute little fixer upper a year ago and decided it was time to start well fixing her up. Starting with the floors. I found Edgar’s number on google along with about 5 other companies. I called around and got some quotes but everyone I called was either pushy, un personable and you could easily tell that I was just going to be just another invoice for them. Edgar was the last call I made I was honestly shocked by how well he listened and really took into account what I actually wanted. I told him I’m trying to make my house into a home. We scheduled and soon enough his team was at my door ready and eager to help me. They were on time, kind, professional and didn’t mind me asking them what felt like a million questions. I’m so thankful for what they did and how they treated my home like it was their own. The fact that the pricing was so reasonable was only a perk. THANK YOU to Edgar and his team!!!

Edgar has the top notch crew for laminate installation. They arrived on time, finished prep in less than an hour and got right to the installation. True tradesmen and take pride in their work. They are an excellent example of true tradesman versus a once in a while installer. If you want your flooring design to be spot on, use Edgar and his crews. I can't say enough positive things about the 3 installers. Highly recommend for any hardscape flooring installtion.

Edgar and his guys had a very big and tough job at my place. I have a 6000sqft log home needing almost 2500sqft of pine wood flooring installed and another 1500sqft of car decking (I had to install at framing) all needed to be sanded and refinished. We had a pretty big issue with the top floor bowing just a tiny bit in the center because my 10in log floor joists space 2ft (normally it is16in for a normal house). This caused the filler to crack and fall out. We came up with the idea to screw down areas that moved to really hold tight. Edgar and his guys sanded and filled the floors probably 4 times for over 2 weeks until it was perfect. He put 2 coats of finish down and was going to return after all the doors were set and put the final coat of sealer down. Well after the rest of the work was done edgar came back and noticed I (myself) did not let the pine flooring dry out long enough before he came to install (1.5 weeks was not long enough). So the floor shrunk causing him to have to fill and light sand for almost another week and then 2 more coats. He never changed his price, he took half down at the start and never asked for more money until the job was 100 percent done. (I made him take some money about 3/4 threw the job). I offered to pay more for the extra work but he said no. He stayed on my job until the floor was perfect. He text and called with any updates or questions. He ALWAYS showed up. Never once did he not show up. Out of all the contractors I had on this job he was one of the best (and I knew almost all of the other contractors for years). I couldn't be happier with Edgar and his guys. I am glad I went with them and will definitely use them again!

We just had laminate put in 2 of our upstairs bedrooms by WHF&R. They came on time, were polite, courteous, helped us move some furniture and went right to work. They were total professionals and completed the work in a very short period of time. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the work and the finished product. We could not have asked for more. Infact, it came out better than we had hoped for. After they were done, Mr Madriz, the owner came over to personally check on the work. Now that's commitment to total satisfaction. We are very happy customers and will refer them whenever we get the opportunity.
