I’ve worked with many dozens of subs/contractors over the years doing remodels and building homes. I can honestly say that in 35 years, Wasatch Heat Cable is the most professional, polite, honest, upfront, and trustworthy group of people I’ve ever worked with as a whole. My sales rep, Kyler P. patiently held my hand through the entire process from bid to install, educated me on many nuances and details of the job (knew his stuff), was on site for much of the install to oversee that what I had requested/agreed upon was translated into action, and responded immediately to me anytime I texted him. Everyone that stepped foot on my property was respectful, neat, and tidy. They even used ladders with padded edges so my gutters didn’t get scratched. I would highly suggest using this company and trust them completely!

They might not be the cheapest, but Kyler worked with me to find affordable options and even scouted out new snow rail options when I requested a lower price option…and the slightly higher price was worth it for the end result and peace of mind. Great company, classy people, great product and job.

My first interaction with Wasatch Heat Cable was 10 years ago. Eric and Kyler P helped to educate me and a lot of my neighbors which resulted in us selecting Wasatch Heat Cable to install their cable. I live just a few miles from Park City and needed to ensure we had a reputable company. This winter, I’ve noticed my cable was getting some cold spots. Alex came out to test the cable and was extremely efficient, knowledgeable and addressed all of my questions and concerns. Kyler P was a pleasure to work with for an estimate to replace my cable (I had people shovel my roof 2 winters ago and they damaged some of my cable).

Today, Alex, Kyle R and Carlos were out to replace my clip/connectors, cable and added the Leviton switch. I really respect this company and everyone who works for them due to their professionalism, kindness, knowledge and efficiency. I’ve talked with other heat cable vendors and they don’t begin to have the massive amount of knowledge and dedication that Wasatch Heat Cable has.

We built a custom home in Park City and our builder gave us a few referrals. From the get-go Wasatch Heat Cable entirely distinguished itself.

Kyler came out to do the assessment and provide a quote. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and humble. Such a nice change from the transactional seller just trying to close business. He answered all the questions we had and gave us a great design for our project.

Furthermore, the team they had install the Heat Cable and snow fence was equally outstanding. Josh and crew were super respectful of our home (eg putting covers on shoes), extremely knowledgeable about how to install the electrical requirements, and did a wonderful job, making the new addition to our roof look as if it had always been there. Similarly, the crew was friendly, professional, and gave my wife full comfort that the job was done well.

My wife and I purchased a new home recently and weren't sure if the heat tape worked or not. We called Wasatch Heat Cable and scheduled a fall appointment for them to review the current system to make sure everything was operational. Friendly staff, tech was right on time, reviewed the entire system and gave us the good news that everything was in working order. After our first winter in the house we discovered we needed some additional heat tape in a few areas. Again the experience was first class. Office staff was friendly, we were updated as both the estimator and techs were on the way and the additional heat tape was installed without as issue. We would highly recommend Wasatch Heat Tape!!

The guys are excellent. From assessment to install to customer service to follow up they are great. I even had a roof leak one time and they could have suggested more heat tape. Instead they actually found the issue at the chimney and recommended I solve the problem there first. A great team

Had a pretty mixed experience getting heat tape and gutters installed this fall. First issue was the lack of clarity around the install process. I called them and we agreed on a date for installation and given the property is an Airbnb I cleared that date so we would have no guests to disturb. Well I get a call from our guests saying people are there to work on the house on a different date. Turns out they didn’t tell me the gutter folks would come before they did, that there would be two install dates, and they showed up at the house without a single call or message before. So getting it installed was frustrating and challenging and disruptive to our business. Then upon install they neglected to connect some of the wires so the first storm came and half the heat tape wasn’t working. Our gutters filled with snow and ice and had some damage because of it (the gutter job was pretty bad to begin with). They did send someone out to fix the issue (though had to wait a few weeks due to scheduling) and it appears to be working now.

Would definitely not recommend for gutters. Proceed with caution on heat tape.

Ryan recently came out and gave us a bid for heat cable. He was punctual, polite, knowledgeable, thorough, and made sure we got all our questions answered.  He reviewed the itemized bid with us before he left and followed up promptly with an email. Impressed!

I reached out to Wasatch Heat Cable about what would be best with my setup. I not only got the answers I was looking for but the owner of the company came out himself and helped install the cable! He also answered an additional roofing question I had. The professionalism and level of service were high and I'm very appreciative. Horrible company. Spent SO MUCH MONEY on heat tape from this company 3 years ago. Was new to the area, didn't realize they are the most overpriced company in the area. Any electrician can install and for WAY cheaper. This company also doesn't stand by their product. Our heat tape switch broke last year and ended up having to pay roofer to shovel our snow off the roof. 1600 dollars later. Does this company care they have a shoddy product? NO. I contacted the company 2xs, nobody cares and nobody calls you back. Stay away from this company. They have no integrity.

Heat cable and controller installation. Finding quality service companies today is an enormous challenge! Wasatch Heat Cable is everything I look for in a service company; responsive, professional, informative, communicative and easy to deal with. They are just on top of everything and I highly recommend them. If you want to feel secure and confident in your investment, hire them!

Wasatch Heat Cable is the online destination for the best information and advice on Heat Cable design and installation. They have technical expertise that I could not easily find anywhere else given that live in the Chicago area. I had heated gutter guards installed by another vendor to prevent ice dams and ensure drainage through the winter. After all the wiring was complete, I had a problem with the connection of my new GFEP breakers so I called Wasatch and talked to Kyle who quickly answered my question and gave me peace of mind that my final wiring was correct. They installed Leviton switches for our already existing heat tape so that I could control my heat tape with the phone app. They were great to work with! Very helpful. Very kind and thoughtful. Very professional.

Mikey was super helpful!! He did a great job on the heat cable installation and then helped ensure we knew how to turn on the cables from inside the house. He spent extra time helping us find the switch as we had never actually used it before, and made sure power was correctly flowing. Five stars!

They installed Heatcable in at my medical clinic seven years ago I had them come back just to look things over and everything was absolutely done perfect they haven’t had haven’t had any problems when they came by and did it just an inspection for me it wasn’t nothing needed so the first time they did everything the best that could be done I recommend Wasatch Heatcable to all my friends neighbors because they do commercial and I’m homework home for your home they are the best in the business Eric Wimmer is a man of his word they told me they would be there they were there on time the price was what they told me and the quality of the work was superb I highly recommend them to everyone I know My name is Ed O’Brien and I own skyline medical in South Ogden Utah once again I highly recommend Wasatch cable

The tech was very cordial, informative and pleasant to help us. We appreciated the trip out to check the heat cables for us. He discovered the problem was in the outlets and showed us how to reset them. We were very happy, and pleased that Wasatch Heat Cable sent a tech out for us to solve our dilemma!

We had a new roof with gutters installed. During that process the installers cut the heat cable to reinstall it within the gutter, downspouts and on the roof. The severed cable was never reconnected. Finally Wasatch Heat Cable was contacted to do the reconnection. Eric arrived promptly as scheduled and analyzed the situation. As he had scheduled time for a simple reconnect as he was told by the gutter company, he took time to explain what was necessary to do the connection properly. Like many, he could have taken the easy way and just spliced the severed ends and be done. However, as he reviewed the situation, he saw that the cable was cut too short and installed wrongly in the down spout. He took the time to properly add approximately 12 feet of cable into the down spout and run it down under the patio so it would not freeze. He heat sealed the necessary connections, where the cables were joined. Many of the connected cables are spliced and taped with electrical tape and duct tape. That method is not water proof. Eric patiently spliced the connections with electrical tape, then using an outer tubing, the splice was heat sealed to establish an impenetrable water tight seal. Not once, but this all important seal was done for both areas where the cables had to be connected. Upon completion, the heat cable system was checked for safety and functionality. Eric was thorough and attentive to the smallest detail. He was knowledgeable, professional and more important, pleasant, caring and a really concerned about what was right.

If you are not using Wasatch Heat Cable for your evaluation, installation or repairs, then I believe you are not utilizing the best professionals available. Call Wasatch Heat Cable and you too will not be disappointed and completely satisfied.

We had heat tape installed on our roof in November. It has never worked! We spent over $6000 and Wasatch Heat Cable has not been responsive. They have no showed for appointments and do not seem interested in resolving the issue! Very poor service and apparently poor quality product/work since my heat tape has not worked since day one.

On time, neat and tidy, friendly, and have done a good job for us in the past. While the price is not inexpensive, it's a pleasure doing business with a company that has good communication and performs as expected!

Wasatch Heat Cable has been great to work with. They completed our original installation and then when we changed our roofing material they came out and removed the heat cabling and reinstalled it as necessary. All of their employee's from the office to the guys in the field have been wonderful to work with. They were on time for their appointments, cleaned up their rubbish, and were very professional.
