Volunteer Property Design

We had a fairly major structural issue in addition to several other issues we needed to be addressed in preparation for putting our home on the market for sale. Greg was a consumate professional throughout the entire process, and we couldn't have been any happier. He followed through with everything that we discussed and got the work done on time, for the price that he quoted us.

The fact that Greg has the personal and professional integrity to do things the right way, and executes to the level that he does will assure that we will continue to go back and have Volunteer Property Design perform our work going forward. I have found the qualities that Greg possesses to be a rarity in this current time.

A completely different company, while getting a security system installed, one of the workers stepped through the ceiling in our child’s room.

Drywall dust and insulation was everywhere. This was a very stressful situation for us. We received a recommendation to call Volunteer Property Design and it was like a godsend.

Luther called me to set up meeting the next morning. By that afternoon the ceiling was sealed and mudded. The next morning their crew came and painted the ceiling and it LOOKS BETTER than before because they fixed some sloppy drywall work around a light fixture from decades before because that’s the attention to detail they have.

I cannot recommend this company enough. The moment they came to check out the damage I knew we were in the right hands.

Greg is one of the best if not the best contractor I've ever worked with. He's completed about a dozen projects for me including kitchen and bath remodels, flooring, door installation, structural work, storm damage, roofing, Landscaping, layout and design. He always completes the work as discussed and for the price he quotes. There are never hidden charges like there are with other contractors. His quote is the price you pay when the work is complete. I highly recommend Volunteer Property Design for any and all home remodel projects.

Do not use. Sadly, we made the mistake of using Greg Bowser at VPD.
He did work on our house in 2021, which included remodeling our bathroom. We found multiple things done wrong around our house, but the complaint arose when the shower pan he installed failed. The floor started to sink, the tile started coming up and the grout was breaking. He immediately blamed us and took no responsibility. He made up lies of what the issue was and “experts” he talked to that agreed with him. Not to mention Greg Bowser nor his “expert” ever came to the house to see the issue.
So, we got three local flooring/tile companies and an inspector to look at and find the truth behind the issue. All parties came to the same conclusion, that it was installed incorrectly, and a new shower pan would need to be installed to fix the issue. Some, but not all, findings were: He cut our floor joist to fit the drain and left it unsupported, did not put proper flooring support under the shower pan, poor thin set application and tile setting, mixed using different shower systems which voids all warranties with both products, and significant moisture was found in the floor and walls even after not using the shower for a month which shows signs of improper waterproofing. When presented with these findings he said you can talk to my lawyer, probably hoping we would not want to go through the trouble of taking him to court.
In addition to this, the inspection found and documented multiple things that were not done to industry standards and done incorrectly around our home. Bottom line, Greg Bowser and VPD does not stand by their work and with these findings I would say doesn’t know how to do their work.

I am just ecstatic with the remodelling work from Volunteer Property Design!! My kitchen and dining area was small and seemed very closed off, and the lighting was terrible and outdated. I wanted it to be more open and welcoming to my friends and family, so we decided to contact VPD to see if my vision was even an option. Their team came in and superceded my expectations!! They were very professional, reliable, and AFFORDABLE!
My new kitchen and dining area has been reconstructed into the most beautiful open floor plan! Not to mention how the new cabinets and lighting just make the space so much more convenient! This company was recommended by a friend of mine. I called and spoke to Gerogry about setting up a consultation about a addition add on. He said he will be able to come by home to do that wed or Thursday. I said cool, thanks. Those two days passed by without any communication whatsoever. I called Friday to see what was going on. Basically he didn't save my info or add me to appointment calander. It seems as if I was wasting his time so I said don't worry about it. I've moved on so I hope others have a better experience than I did.
