Virginia Foam did a great job; they were on-time, reasonable price, and they did quality work. They were great at communicating with me; everything from scheduling the free quote visit, to getting the contract, to scheduling the work, to performing the work. They even cleaned up their mess completely before they left the site (can't remember the last contractor that did that). VERY IMPRESSED! My recent experiences with contractors had not been all that good, and the folks at Virginia Foam gave me new hope that there are more great contractors out there.

Done an excellent spray foam insulation job on my 22x30 metal building. The best way to go. They beat everyones price.

We are building a new deck on the back of our house and just needed a small job done. We called around for prices and had companies come out to give us an estimate. At first we went with the cheapest estimate but after thinking about what the companies estimates included and how we were greeted and communicated with, we chose Va Foam Insulators, LLC. They were very informative, punctual and professional. We were very pleased with the finished product, the cleanup and the crew. I would recommend this company for any job, big or small.

Communication with everyone was very professional and timely. Work done quickly and efficiently even with the very high ceiling of the barn.

Virginia foam insulators did a fantastic job. They fitted me in there schedule knowing I was losing so much heat out of the roof.
Before the job was completed the heating was kicking in every 3 to 5 minutes, after they pumped in over 14 inches in some places of insulation across the whole house, including my garage area that was open to the house that had zero insulation my heating now kicks in maybe 3 times during the night and daytime maybe once in 1 hour.
Check your roof NOW, if you need it call these guys for a fast good clean job.

As a contractor in the Roanoke Valley, I've used Virginia Foam Insulators on numerous jobs. Each and every time they have been neat, courteous, and professional. They get the jobs done on schedule. The last time I used them the power went out (it was a dark basement). This did not slow down the crew. They used head lamps and flash lights to finish the job. I highly recommend this company (not to mention they have a great product).

Good experience from estimate to completion. Very responsive customer service. Post job clean up was perfect. A higher performance alternative to “the Pink Panther”.
Post job I noticed a faint but pleasant smell, but no gassing off as foam is rigid.
Pale yellow in color-really brightened up the shed.
Sound has less echo inside. Will consider this as a possible audio recording space in the future.
Great environment for loudspeaker testing, which helps my new loudspeaker business. I will now be able to shoot paint on loudspeakers in the middle of winter. This greatly expands my business. Good value for money spent.

Virginia Foam Insulators came out and insulated my metal barn. They did a great job. I would definitely recommend them!

James came out to provide us a free estimate for crawlspace and attic insulation in the fall of 2019. He was timely, professional, and honest. After the inspection, he was very upfront about costs and not pushy, which was refreshing. We needed a new roof on our house, so we decided to postpone having the insulation installed.

Several months after the initial inspection, we finally decided to pull the trigger. James' team came out in a matter of a week or two, despite their busy schedule during the summer 2020 season. Their team removed the old, blown-in insulation from our attic, which was over 50 years old.

In a matter of 1.5 days, James' team had successfully completed the job flawlessly, working in tight spaces and around our HVAC system and ducting. I fully expected the price to be higher, with the hotter, busier, season, but it was to the penny of the original estimate. Our home is so much cooler now that we have the attic foam insulation!

I requested a quote for foam insulation of the ceiling of my garage in order to better control the temperature in the room above it which gets colder than the rest of the house in the winter and warmer in the summer.

James from VA Foam came by and assessed the situation. He pointed out that foam insulating the garage ceiling would not do much to help with the summer heat bearing down on the room through the roof since the room was essentially an attic. He acknowledged that he was probably talking himself out of a sale but he did not want to do a job for us that would not achieve the desired results.

I truly appreciated his expert knowledge, professionalism and honesty which has saved us from wasting money.

I have a crawl space under my 70 year old house, and the only thing between me and it is wood floor, sub-floor and joists - a bit chilly in the winter! Not any more - 2" of closed cell foam has made all the difference! I asked Virginia Foam insulators for an estimate on this job, along with 2 other contractors. Virginia Foam was punctual and included the work I asked for. The other contractors were convinced that I needed twice the amount of work (which would cost more than twice as much). I am so happy with the work Virginia Foam has done - I can go barefoot in the winter in my house now!

I called them during a very busy time but they were good at communicating despite needing to delay me for a few weeks, and that was no big deal. In the middle of building our new house I was informed about this company and the service they provide. I got a quote from them and quotes from two other companies. I weighed my options and decided to bite the bullet and do the full package.

Dustin and Justin did a great job for me. They sprayed 3" of closed cell insulation on about 1000 square feet of my pole barn ceiling in under 6 hours. Just do your homework on this stuff, I did not realize it was so flammable. It did not pass the building inspector's flammability test so I have to cover it up with some sort of ceiling material (drywall, metal, wood, etc.). As far as the workmanship...top notch!

They did attic installation for us on two different buildings. They were very courteous and professional and the product looks great! I would highly recommend using them for your next insulation project.

A few years ago I chose to use Virginia Foam for my home that had poor insulation from 35 years ago. What a difference both in utility bills and now I can walk upstairs with no change in temperature and humidity. One of the best investments for energy efficiency and payback on investment. They were professional and prompt. Because of this I contracted again for them to foam insulate a metal garage I have that is like an oven in the hot sun. They completed the job yesterday and what a difference. Also the professional job in the garage was so well done it looks smooth as glass. Great job a second time from Virginia Foam. Other companies may be here today and gone tomorrow but Virginia Foam has been there to help me for many years now. It pays to deal with professionals who are experienced.

Second time using Virginia Foam Insulators. I could not be more satisfied. The jobs were completed on time and as expected. My house has been under renovations for 6 months which has required a lot of subs to come and go. James and his crew are the most professional and cleanest crew to date. Professional company. After doing lots of research I decided to use closed cell foam to insulate the attic rafters in my 60 year-old home. I met with 6 companies in the area that install foam insulation. 3 of them tried to talk me into open-cell insulation, which is an unproven product for my application. Two other companies, both with good reputations, were willing to install closed-cell foam; one of them offered a great price while the other offered a price that was well outside my budget. Then I met with James Kuhn, the owner of Virginia Foam, and we had a very detailed discussion about what I was looking for. His price was not the lowest but I felt he really knew what he was talking about and had done enough closed-cell foam installations to be able to do the job properly (the installation is more involved then open-cell foam). Under challenging conditions (120 degrees plus in the attic) his team did a great job. I liked the work so much I hired them to insulate the addition I just put on my home. This scope included both closed-cell foam and traditional fiberglass batts. Once again they did a thoroughly professional job and left my home spotless. I would recommend the team at Virginia Foam to anyone.

I contacted Va Foam Insulators about adding insulation to my 30x50 commercial blast freezer that had same weak spots from when it was built. James was very professional and upfront about all the work he saw that needed to be done when he came out to do the estimate (which I appreciated). They knew this was a time sensitive project and was able to get me in right away. We hired Virginia Foam Insulators to install spray foam in the attic and garage of our almost 30 year old house. I don't trust contractors, I always verify what they say. Everything I have been told by V.F.I. has been true and I have never been mislead in believing I need something done that I don't need to be done. Everything he tells me about a job has been true. We used Virginia Foam Insulators several years ago to seal our crawlspace in our 40 year old house on the water. They did a GREAT job, very clean, very responsive, courteous, and our electric bill went down dramatically. Recently, when we decided to seal off our attic space to remove the poorly installed fiberglass insulation and reduce the moisture in the house, we called VFI again. They did a terrific job in a timely manner, and we are extremely pleased with their work, attitude, and cleanliness. We highly recommend them for existing or new construction. You will not be disappointed.

They could not have been more honest with the scope of work for my attic. Due to a very strange roofline and other issues they were honest enough to let me know that the return on investment would not be at the level that they hold themselves to. They could have easily done a mediocre job with it but that's not how they operate. Couldn't recommend them higher.. not for the work they did for me but simply for their work ethic and honesty.

After getting several quotes and pricing it out to do it myself VFI came back cheaper then any other options. Coming from a contractors family, you won’t find a more professional, courteous, and clean company. You will never even knew they came, until you see your electric bill. Mine was an average 53% lower then before! They come in and do their work and leave no trace! Looking at their work, you can see the pride they take in it. There are no drips, no overspray; nothing but even spray exactly where it is supposed to be. Veteran owned and operated is just the icing on the cake. You won’t be disappointed.

These guys were great! I moved to SML this year after buying an older doublewide mobile home on an an awesome waterfront lot. I had a new large 48 x 30 garage built on the land and wanted to insulate the whole building with foam for maximum efficiency. I called in these guys and they did an outstanding job and were easy to work with. The building now stays at 50 degrees inside with NO HEAT added during the coldest single digit temps and high winds.

I was so happy with their work I had them back to insulate the crawl space on the mobile home. They remove the insulation under the home, cover the dirt floor with a heavy duty plastic, and spray the walls with foam. This insures that no pipes freeze even in the coldest weather and also allows for better access under the home for improvement projects that require access there. It's now clean under there with no worries about critters or bugs and makes access for me possible as I wouldn't go under there before. Their prices are good and they do what they say they are going to do in a very professional manner.
