Really wish there was an option to add more than 5 stars!!! Dave and his team do exceptional work and if you’re looking for a painter … look no further. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work they performed for me and my family and the communication and attention to detail far exceeded my expectations!!!! Highly recommend!!

I'm leaving a 1-star review after a very bizarre experience with Dave from VDA Painting. I was in communication with Dave for several months in preparation for painting our entire house. He was very kind and very responsive during the entire planning process. Once the work got started, the crew was doing a fine job in all of the extensive preparation work and we were pleased with the progress. During the first week of work, we raised three separate concerns to Dave about the lack of professionalism of the crew; none of which were very egregious: 1) We requested the crew not eat lunch on our front porch furniture since they may have paint on their clothes 2) We asked them to not hang metal caulk guns on our uncovered stair banister as we were concerned it would scratch the wood 3) Lastly, one of the crew knocked on our door while we were in work meetings to ask if he could use my fishing rod to fish in my pond. Again, not a massive deal, but an invitation to fish my pond should come from me. The morning after the last concern was raised, the crew came to our house and removed all of their items without a word. Shortly after, Dave comes into my house, unannounced, while I was speaking with another contractor. In what seemed to be a manic fit, Dave insulted me and my wife and tells me they are quitting the job. I was pretty caught off guard because he was so polite on the phone when we spoke about the concerns. This experience seems to be an outlier based on all of the other reviews, but I just cannot recommend someone who cannot control their anger and emotions over such small concerns.

Hired Dave to paint our three story townhouse and was very impressed with his expert knowledge during the estimate with the extent of repairs we needed. We considered two other estimates of which one was significantly cheaper but choose Dave and his team for his meticulous attention to detail. The team was professional, efficient, finished ahead of schedule, and cleaned up like they had never been there. Would recommend.

From the first meeting to the final goodbye DVA Painting was an absolute pleasure to work with. I am just thrilled with the finished product. Dave and crew painted an outdated 55 and older home. He transformed the kitchen as he painted the kitchen cabinets. His work is of highest quality. The crew so polite and always on time. Painted four rooms, hall and open basement stairway. Outstanding, perfect paint job without taping and NO messy overlaps on door hardware or anywhere. Professional, courteous, on time, efficient. Dave and his crew did an excellent job for us. They did professional prep work repairing drywall imperfections, did beautiful trim and door painting, and expertly rolled on the final ceiling and wall paint. They showed up every day on time and stayed with it until the entire house was completed.

Dave’s crew did an excellent job on my log home. Power washing, sanding, caulking holes, and staining the logs in 100 degree temperatures. Everyone was very professional and easy to work with. Thank you so much!

Incredible work! VDA has great interior painters who take pride in their craftmanship. They painted our entire new home and helped us make important decisions throughout the process.

One area of special concern was the stairs. VDA worked for weeks to find the stain and application that would match the appearance of a completely different type of wood to the chosen hardwood flooring. They did the impossible and brought it together.

We look forward to having them back to stain our deck.

Dave and his team were awesome! They were professional throughout the job. They went above and beyond my expectations. We had several areas within the house that our builder didn’t catch/repair and the VDA team found those 10yr old problem and corrected them. I will always call VDA for any future painting projects I do because I know I can trust them and their work just speaks for itself. VDA did cutting in between the wall and ceiling at our new construction house. I don't know how they got it all done in one day (it's a big house), but they did, and it looks fantastic. Straight as a ruler, no bleed from the wall to the ceiling, as close to perfect as I've ever seen. I would absolutely use them again.

Dave and his team at VDA did an absolutely wonderful job painting our main floor, kitchen, bedroom, and closets. They did excellent drywall repair to clean up areas that needed work, and covered up areas where the previous owners of our house had pets that scratched up trim, and did drywall tape to clean up edges around the ceiling. Top notch work and excellent customer service! Looking forward to working with VDA again the future!

UPDATE : Dec.'22- We again used VDA and they did an awesome job finishing up our remodel. RELIABLE and just great quality work. Sept. 22- Dave and Sarah were so helpful and knowledgeable with our home improvement project. Communication was GREAT throughout the project. High quality work from the painters, always on time and courteous. VERY pleased and would highly recommend VDA Residential Painting.

They did a great job painting my two story foyer and morning room. They showed up on time and worked quickly. I was also impressed with how clean they kept everything while sanding and their final cleanup. Best of all it looks great!

Needing two bedrooms and two bathrooms repainted, we looked at lots of “handyman” ads that offered painting services – as well as “kitchen remodeling, roof repair, deck construction,” etc, etc.
But we decided that it made sense to use professionals who specialize in home painting. VDA Residential Painting was exactly what we needed. They offered great advice on paint and color selection, were fast and efficient, clean and careful, all with no surprises. Our rooms turned out great and we couldn’t be happier with the results. (We just booked VDA again for some outside painting!)

We had contacted Dave from VDA because we were moving from another state to the Winchester area and needed the ceilings in our new home painted before moving in. What initially impressed us was his quick response and his professional manner. He was able to work around his busy schedule to get our job done sooner than expected. Dave and his team were absolutely incredible. I've worked with some great contractors and Dave takes the top prize for communication, thoroughness, and overall talent. Not only did he have experience with the high-end paint that we wanted to use, he was also able to offer assistance and advice as we selected other paints for the house (ex. which white color variations would need additional coats), and help us convert an oil system to latex. He was thorough in his work, asked all the appropriate questions to confirm what we wanted, and his team was timely and helpful. He even followed up with the paint company's technical team to insure that the application was correct. AND their work looks amazing! We are so grateful for the work he did and would absolutely use him again and recommend him to anyone.

We hired Dave and his team do stain our deck and front porch a while back. The team impressed us so much we got placed on the waiting list to have our whole house inside painted. Our house was new construction and it needed a lot of fixing of imperfections from the builder. The team did an amazing job fixing things that shouldn't have to have had been fixed. Dave and I worked on some fun accent wall options using paint from Europe. The two walls are a piece of art now, AMAZING. When I walk past them I am just so happy!! Dave and team always show up on time (which is rare), they are professional, polite and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them!

VDA Painting it’s a great company to have do your painting. Showed up on time everyday and worked diligently from start to finish. My house, that I bought last year, was built in 2008 and had never been professional painted so there were nail pops everywhere! Now you can’t tell at all, the walls a perfectly smooth and look beautiful! Would highly recommend VDA for you’re professional needs, the owner Dave is a great guy to work with and always takes your thoughts and wants into consideration.

Dave and his guys are great to work with. They strive for perfection. Building custom homes can be a challenge and difficult with alot of changes, many different paint colors and high quality expectations. VDA does a great job exceeding those expectations.

David and crew worked tirelessly for three days to paint the entire interior of my building over Christmas break 2019. They were meticulous and got the job done by going above and beyond. It was a big task and they nailed it.
