I had a great experience working with Adrian and his team at Vargas Masonry. I originally contacted them to install new front porch steps, which were completed last fall. Over the winter and into spring, some issues came up with the facing, so I reached out to Adrian to see what could be done. He came out to take a look and, without hesitation, agreed to rip out and completely redo the steps.

His crew came out and rebuilt them—they look even better than before! On top of that, once we realized the ground slope caused one side of the bottom step to sit higher, Adrian covered the cost to replace a section of concrete in front of the steps to make sure everything looked right and felt solid.

Adrian has been nothing but kind, respectful, and professional throughout the whole process. He genuinely wanted to make sure I was 100% happy with the outcome. I truly appreciate his commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, and I’ll absolutely be using Vargas Masonry again in the future. Highly recommend!

The Vargas team did a great job spot tuckpointing one exterior wall and full tuckpointing another exterior wall. They showed up promptly every morning for 4 days and worked diligently on my home until the job was complete. Afterwards, Adrian took the time to do a walkthrough to make sure I was satisfied with the completed work. The whole process was very easy to navigate from estimate to payment. We just had Vargas do our tuck pointing. They were excellent!! Never had anyone do such a thorough job with their masonry work. Adrian came back several times to check on his crew, making sure that all cracks were taken care of. A beautiful job cleaning up. Even watered the plants so that no dust was left behind. We had a leak that was coming from our chimney. Vargas came out and gave us an estimate. The grout between the brick was crumbling and what I can appreciate is them bringing it down to me to see for myself. Then when they started work come to find out there wasn’t real bricks up there which they brought down for me to see for myself and I was shocked. The whole chimney needed to be redone. The guys came out tore it all down and built the chimney. It looks soooooo much better now. The guys were nice, respectful, and worked hard to get it finished. I was very happy with the outcome and the team! Thank you guys!

Our front porch was having issues with the recent rains we have had in St. Louis. The front stones were falling off, grout was breaking off or just missing, water was seeping through the porch, and moss growth in missing grout spaces. Adrian and his team got us on the books and fixed up within a month and a half! The porch looks amazing now! They even found and fixed crack in the front and side of our house. I’d suggest them to anyone looking for this type of work.

Did what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it. Tuckpointing looks good. Waterproofing looks good.

They did an excellent job patching a very damaged porch that started cracking and crumbling after a large snow fall. Adrian removed chipped concrete, meticulously installed new concrete, then put a topcoat over it. The new concrete blends really well to the old. Communication was great, and the price was competitive. I highly recommend this group.

SO GLAD I decided to go with Vargas!! They put a new TPO roof on my home and architectural shingles on my garage, tuckpointing everywhere, they repaired concrete steps, then installed new shutters/handrails. They were at my home for more than a week and I was so impressed with the efficiency and quality of work!
I have some recommendations for future customers: 1. prepare your home in advance - move things away from your house to make room for ladders, workers. Get weeds/vines down 2. prepare for dust! cover things that you don't want dusty i.e. AC, patio furniture. These guys cleaned up every mess, but dust is dust 3. Appreciate your work crew! They were amazing and friendly and worked so hard!

The prior homeowners had not taken very good care of our chimney and there was quite a bit of splaying and cracking. I called Vargas and within a week someone was on site to give me an estimate.

We scheduled work for a few weeks out and their workers arrived on time. There was a ton of work to be done (see pictures for the before and after), but at the end of a long day, my chimney was in top shape.

I really appreciated the attention to detail and their efforts to match the color/stain. Now my chimney isn't an eyesore!

Called Vargas Masonry and Roofing to rebuild a chimney another company had pretty much destroyed. They disassembled and reassembled the chimney where needed, and re-roofed where necessary. Adrian and his crew are very prosessional and I recommend them highly.

Vargas and his crew did a superb job for us last week, tuck pointing our house and garage and repairing a furnace chimney that was in bad shape. Their work was excellent and they went way beyond what we expected by fixing any bad spots on the house that they noticed. After getting a couple of quotes for tuckpoint repair, we decided to go with Adrian Vargas and his team and so very glad that we did. Excellent job! They did tuckpointing on my chimney and replaced rotting fascia boards on my front porch. They were the most reasonable of 3 estimates, scheduled the job for the first weather permitting days in the forecast (months ahead of what others were offering). They estimated it would take 1-2 days. Their team came, got to work in the morning and were done by 3 pm. They were quick and professional and did a great job! Will definitely use them again!

I saw Adrian in my neighborhood on a Thursday and asked for an estimate. He met with me the following Monday and sent a written proposal the same day.. His quote was very reasonable and his crew arrived one week later. They rebuilt the top of my chimney, tuck pointed the rest, tuck pointed a small area over the garage and repaired an area on the foundation with spalled off concrete.
They were very responsive to my concerns and did a great job. I will definitely call them again if needed.

Should have given 0stars. They owner scheduled for noon (which time off work had to be taken), he calls 10 minutes before from an unknown number (but I happened to have missed the call), he didn’t leave a message, so when I call , not only does he not have the right info about what services we need but he says he’ll come at 3-4. 4:30pm came and no show no call. I called him and he just didn’t answer any of my calls. Not just that, but the young lady that answers the phone, knows nothing about this business. Every question was answered with ,”I don’t know.”
A whole day was wasted when I could have had someone else scheduled to fix my leaking roof.
I’m disappointed with such great reviews they have a lack of consideration, respect for their client’s or potential client’s time, and are pretty unprofessional.

We needed tuckpointing in hour house in Benton Park. Mr Vargas assessed the walls and presented a very reasonable estimate, and for the area that would need it (an entire side of a townhouse).
They were very fast presenting an estimate and a date to perform the job. The crew had a delay with a job before ours and we were informed that they would be one day later.
The crew came on the date informed and did a great work. They worked for 3 days and clean the place before leaving each day.
The work was very well done and we are very satisfied with the results.
We will continue working with Vargas Masonry and Roofing to work on our house when needed in the future.

I purchased a home built in 1996 and had some spalling brick and damaged/missing mortar joints. I got 3 bids (48k, 9k, and 1.8k) - not only was Vargas the cheapest, but they had the best reviews!

They spent 2-3 days on my house replacing > 100 bricks with many on a tall tall chimney! Then the owner came out and gave me a final walkthrough and when I was concerned about a crack/gap in a winglet, he sent guys over the next day to fix. That's customer service! Thank you so much!

A big shout out to Josh on the team who was a pleasure to work with and his friendly customer service. The cracks they repaired look terrific and the section that they had to completely re-joint looks even better. They even went above and beyond and repaired some minor cracks that we didn't even discuss during bidding! The crew performing the work very professional, very considerate to our property and provided us continuous updates as to the work being performed. The work performed consisted of tuckpointing two sides of the house along with chimeny work and placing a cap on the two chimneys. If I were just rating the work that was done and the price, this would be 5 stars. Communication and follow-up are the reasons I am giving 3.
We had tuckpointing done on about 70 percent of our home. We received estimates from several places and felt that this was the most reasonable, reviews were overall good, and photos of previous jobs looked great. The team worked fast, they cleaned up well at the end of each day, and the work looks fantastic.
Our problem was with communication. The day we were scheduled to start, no one showed up. We tried calling and emailing for 2 days before finally getting a response. We rescheduled for the following week, and they arrived a day late. The work that we thought we all agreed on was apparently not clear and not included in the contract. We had to schedule and pay for additional work. That additional work was not fully done. After 5 months of emailing requesting to have the job completed and being told they would send someone, I threatened to involve a lawyer, and they finally came to complete the work.
I would love to recommend them because the work done is really good but, for me, service is a big deal.

Adrian and his team have done two jobs for us (one full house repointing and one exterior concrete work), and have been great on both. He is professional, polite, and a strong communicator. It is clear that he takes pride in his work, stopping by after the jobs to ensure that our expectations were met. On top of the great service, he was the most affordable option of the numerous quotes we recieved on our jobs. We will definitely be working with Vargas again if/when we need tuckpointing or concrete work.

Getting a contractor these days is difficult; finding one that does what they promise for a fair price is impossible BUT Vargas Tuckpointing delivered on both ends. They showed up as scheduled and did a super job on a difficult project. They also cleaned up following the project. I would definitely recommend using them for masonry repairs and restoration work.

Vargas did a very nice job tuckpointing my two chimneys. Because I had a roof leak, they were able to get started within a few days of providing the estimate. Their communication was also good, and the price was more than 30% below my quote from Mirelli.

This company and Adrian in particular are a pleasure to work with! I was on the verge of picking a different company even though the bid and parameters of the work agreed to didn't really tick the boxes for me when my mother (bless mothers, am I right??) texted me about Vargas Tuckpointing. Adrian came by so quick for a free estimate and was very patient listening to what I was looking for including external walls and chimney and internal basement work. The bid was extremely reasonable compared to the other bids I had received, and the start date couldn't have been better! Especially in comparison to some "we'll try to get to you in a month or so, but no guarantees" answers I was given by the others.

Vargas was patient and flexible in working with me on the contract and deposit. The contract is extremely simplistic but don't be concerned because whatever you want, they are going to accommodate you. Very hard workers show up on time and listen if you have concerns about any part of the work being done and will make it right if you're not entirely satisfied. There were only a couple spots that I asked for some additional attention to but it was primarily because I'm paranoid about some water issues I'd been having with my home. Every time I had any questions or concerns, Adrian was quick to respond and work with me on all of it. This despite the fact that he had just been in a car accident earlier that week (not his fault) so he was having to deal with that too.

Towards the end of the job, they even threw in some repair of the front porch wall and the edge of the front of the house which hadn't been part of the original bid, but they handled it because it needed it. There was a temporary issue with the downstairs drain getting clogged up - old house and plumbing and missing drain grate I kept meaning to replace - and Adrian called me after the work day was done that night about the problem and took the time to come by the next day on a Saturday morning when he had some planned time off work (I'm guessing a rare thing given his diligence and constant availability to the customer) to resolve the clog issue, even offering to bring coffee for me and my mother!

We had the crew out to tuckpoint and rework the cap on our chimney. Very happy with the work that they did in a prompt manner chimney looks good as new and no mess left behind.

The owner arrived at my residence and personally went up on my roof (with a very large vault) and gave me a reasonable bid to pour a new cap and tuckpoint my chimney. I immediately accepted the bid as several days earlier a different company tried to gauge me without even inspecting the chimney by going up on the roof. The repair was scheduled with Vargas Tuckpointing and a few weeks later the workers arrived on time and performed the work to my satisfaction. When I asked them to seal a hole around the exterior of the chimney that was visible from the attic, without hesitation they sealed the hole and completed the job excellently. I highly recommend Vargas Tuckpointing LLC for anyone needing expert tuckpointing or masonry repair. I appreciate the quality workmanship, friendliness of the workers and value received.

Vargas was by far the lowest estimate I received out of three for tuckpointing my home. They were honest from the start and even suggested getting other estimates. They tuckpointed 3/4 of a 2 story house. Their crew was on time, curtious, hard working and cleaned up everything well. The house looks fantastic. I'd highly suggest them for any job. They worked on my neighbor's home and she was pleased as well.

Excellent work tuckpointing the second story of a two family in South City. Listened to my needs (had some infiltration to the interior) and addressed those direct concerns and others. Fair priced and the best bang for my buck. Repair men were proactive and Adrian was quick to reply to messages (email, text and call). Walked me through the repairs after they were made and made sure to include me in decisions made during the tuckpointing process.

Just recently became a new homeowner and one of the things that was on the inspection was the house needing some spot tuckpointing. When Adrian came out to do the quote he was extremely knowledgeable and let us know that the job was going to be much bigger and that I was going to need the whole front and right side of the house done and then spot jobs on the back and left. However, unlike other companies Adrian actually pointed out and explained why these things needed to be replaced and on top of all that was priced the best out of all the other quotes we got. The work was phenomenal and ridiculously fast. Three days for the whole job and it looks (I will add pictures when our weather lightens up a bit) like a brand new home. I will only be using Vargas Tuckpointing for any and all masonry work that I come into in the future.

I got bids from a few other contractors, and chose Vargas because Adrian responded quickly with a quote and was able to squeeze my job in just a few days later. They tuckpointed my chimney, completely rebuilt my cap that was in bad shape, and added some new flashing to the chimney. I'll be using Vargas for all future work that I may have.

Adrian came and gave me a bid and his guys did some spot tuckpointing on my house aswell as repaired the corners of the foundation that were cosmetic cracks.
