VA and Sons along with the team of Gene, Yuriy, Victory and their support team did an amazing job on the transformation of our home. Siding, windows, gutters, doors, new gable entrance and paint! They did an incredible job. Professional at its finest. Communication, interaction and the willingness to make sure all questions are answered correctly first. Gene and his team at VA and Sons are your one stop shop! They completely remodeled our home. Their attention to detail and pride of work is second to none. I highly recommend them!

Our family suffered a terrible nightmare of a tragedy this year. In Feb 2021 during the ice storm, 2 giant white oak trees destroyed approximately 25-30% of our home. Having never suffered anything like this before I immediately began contacting several contractors, Remodeling Salem OR (VA & Sons Construction) was one of them.

I had about 5 contractors visit my home in the days after to give estimates, with a giant trunk through our home and water pouring in, Gene was the only one who immediately sent his crew out to tarp and take care of things. He humbly told me whether I went with them or not, they were going to fix things for us to make sure no additional damage would impact he house. This level of empathy for what we were going through went a big way with me and I eventually hired him to do a massive repair.

Gene was incredibly helpful navigating the complexity of such a massive job, he handled just about everything and worked hand in hand with our insurance adjuster to ensure that we got what we needed. The quality of work is exceptional and Gene's various crews were a pleasure to have in our home. The entire process took just shy of 10 months but it was worth it, we turned a tragedy into a beautiful remodel. My wife and I couldn't be more happy. I will be using this company again for many more projects in the future.

We chose V.A. And sons after seeing their beautiful work at a family members house. They poured a patio, replaced our window with a door, and built an excellent cover over it all. We will certainly be using them again for our next remodeling projects. Thank you!!!

V.A. and Sons helped us with the exterior remodel of our 21 year old home. Their crew was fabulous to work with, professional courteous, thorough and fast. The cedar, framing of windows and prep for painting was done in three day. The painting started the following week and took 2 days. Gene had the foresight to order materials in advance to ensure they would be available at the start of the project to minimize any delay of our project. I will be calling them when we are ready to start our inside remodel.

VA and Sons construction provided a high quality level of work. They started as promised and finished ahead of schedule. Gene kept us informed throughout the project which involved complete siding removal, dry rot repair, new siding and finished up with painting. His on site supervisors, Yury and Victor were on the job everyday and made sure that nothing was missed, very impressed with the entire crew. Thanks for a job well done!!

So unprofessional, the receptionist answered the phone "Hello?" Instead if introducing the business as a business, to the extent that I thought I had the wrong number and called someone's residence by accident. This was proceeded by a very unprofessional male individual who, after me hardly having time to explain what I needed to explain he outright declined the job. Which is thier right however it's poor way to conduct business.

VA and Sons Construction was amazing to work with. Gene is the general contractor and he was always very responsive and kept us up to date on timelines. Him and his team did a small but complete overhaul of our main bathroom. The final result is gorgeous and feels like I'm walking into a spa. They cleaned up after themselves well at the end (not all contractors will do that). Highly recommend and I'll be using them for all our future projects on this 1950 house. Thanks Gene!

We used VA and Sons Construction for 2 projects. They built a free-standing outdoor kitchen/gazebo, complete with plumbing, electrical, and concrete. It looks awesome! Price was fair and workers were professional. It turned out so good that we had them do complete exterior painting of our house. Everything turned out great. Good communication on the projects. We would highly recommend them.

What a great experience with Gene and team. They converted my funky old dark garage into a bright and functional art studio. Extra effort and expertise was evident throughout the project. Great communication too. Kept on schedule even through snow and delay in drywall drying for over a week. Very helpful also in fixing a gutter issue had with another contractor. V.A. and Sons did a great job on several big projects at our home. They were incredibly quick and efficent, and their work product was very top-end. They are certainly craftsmen and have a keen eye for making sure all the details are perfect. We have received a ton of compliments about how everything turned out on our house.

Gene and his crew are excellent. They demolished and filled in our pool and built a new fence. They are very professional, straight-forward, and do great work. I definitely recommend them.

After realizing that our house could not go another year without being painted, I contacted Gene during their busiest time of year for home projects. He called me back right away, and was out within days to give me a bid for the exterior painting and some other minor house repairs. The bid was fair for the work being asked of them. I received a formal contract a few days after that, which didn't have any surprises. The crew showed up when they were supposed to, and took approximately the amount of time Gene specified it would take to get the job done. Gene was in constant communication with me, keeping me apprised of the progress and issues along the way with texts and phone calls. In the end, our house looks brand new on the outside. I am so very happy with their work! They'll be the first contractors I'll call for any future home repair needs!

Big thanks to the VA & Son crew. We had a number of projects done on our home for a remodel and highly recommend these guys. Very good at what they do and very respectful of home. We have used them Multiple times over the years and never disappointed.

We just did a major painting job, and other touch up areas on our house recently. VA and sons was very excellent. They were timely on their bid, performed excellent and quality workmanship, and were timely with finishing the job and with billing. I felt that it was a very fair price, and excellent work. Gene and his crew are amazing. We had a pipe leak that caused considerable damage to our home. They replaced siding, flooring, cabinets, counter tops, the front door, and did a large amount of painting. They made a very stressful situation MUCH easier. We greatly appreciated their communication, incredible work, and willingness to go above and beyond. His crew were always professional and were available to tell us what they were working on and to answer any questions we had. After getting 6 repair/painting bids for residing and painting our West Salem home, we chose VA & Sons Construction and are so pleased with our choice and their work. Their bid was thousands less than any of the others, very complete and easy to understand. Communication between the time they were hired and the time the job started was great. When work started Gene's crew showed up on time every day, worked diligently all day and cleaned up every evening before leaving. Gene and his crew took on the task of stripping and residing our home, while also building a new Trex deck to replace the older one originally built with the house. Gene and his crews have done three jobs for us in the past: an office addition to our house, added a laundry room to our second floor apartment and doubled the size of the "catio" in the shed where our cats reside. In all cases we found pricing to be reasonable, and the quality and timeliness of the work met or exceeded expectations. Gene was consistently on top of the work in progress, including that done by any subcontractors. During the office addition I was out of state for over a week, and he kept me updated via phone as needed. I am currently in discussions with Gene to add a patio cover to our home (wish I had done this when he did the addition, but hindsight is always 20/20). I would strongly recommend Gene and his company for any construction related work you may be considering. He is a no nonsense guy, so don't expect him to play with your dog, but he would do a great job for you!

5 stars! I actually think they are a perfect 10! Gene and his crew just finished our project and I am so happy. Resided and painted our home and built a new deck and stairs, repaired chimney damage, pressure washed our tile roof, installed a couple new doors and even redid my window screens and door sweeps and trim. There is really nothing they can’t handle or not willing to undertake. The quality of their workmanship is excellent, nothing is overlooked. My next project will start with a call to VA and Sons Construction.
