Tim Jones and Upward Construction performed a major remodel in our home including a full kitchen, primary bath, laundry room, butler’s pantry/bar and flooring (repair, replace, and refinish). The main flooring was 200 year old reclaimed lumber which had a significant area that needed to be replaced. Tim and his team were able to locate the distributor and obtain a perfect match to the existing flooring. An added complexity was that we were living across the country during the remodel and could not be there to oversee the work. Tim is experienced with these situations and accommodated us with frequent phone calls, face times, pictures and videos to explain progress and any issues needing resolution. He was always very prompt in responding to our questions. We can’t be more pleased with the outcome and the services/support offered by Upward Construction.

Upward Construction did a bathroom renovation for us and we couldn’t be happier. The job was done quickly and professionally and any problems that came up were taken care of promptly.

We had to replace our deck and then find a replacement contractor after the first was unable to complete the job. After getting several quotes we picked upward construction and have been very pleased with them. They did a quality job very quickly. The people working at the house were very courteous and clean. Tim was easy to deal with and quickly worked through changes as they came up. I would not only recommend them, but I will also you them again in the future.

Tim was amazing to work with in building our deck. He was very knowledgeable and was always very responsive with any questions that I had during the process. I will be contacting him for my next home project as well. I highly recommend Tim and Upward construction for any and all home projects that you need taken care of.

I highly recommend Upward Construction. I had an old deck removed and a new one with an added patio built in its place. The planning, product, communication and final result was awesome. Even when I asked for some modifications, Tim was able to produce with no delay. The quality of the work and professionalism of the crew can't be beat. Even the inspector commented on the quality of the work. My neighbors have been over and complimented on how beautiful it is. If Tim could learn to control the weather (rain, rain go away), I will come back and add a sixth star! Thank you Upward Construction!

Tim was great! The process wasn’t flawless but he was always easy to reach and things were quickly discussed and remedied. We are very happy with our beautiful new bedroom, bath and walk in! Be sure to keep tabs on the day to day of your project and talk to Tim for clarification, we did and it really lessened our stress. Compared to a lot of horror stories i have heard and our own experience with another contractor I have to give Tim and Upward top marks! The contract was honored and the project was completed relatively quickly, the stoppages were out of Tim’s control waiting for the city or the supply chain.

We chose Upward Construction to redo our deck and the experience was 5-star! Tim and his team were very communicative throughout the process and the work is very high quality. They were able to fit in our job shortly after we approved the quote and even came back to make a few small adjustments after everything was complete, to ensure we were 100% satisfied with the final product. Tim and his team were amazing to work with. I needed to rip the master bath down to the studs and start over. From design to demo in a single day and great communication throughout, the process was so much easier than I’d hoped and the end result is beautiful. Really grateful to have found these folks and would not hesitate to recommend them or hire them again.

Began process to replace 50 year old aluminum siding in late March / early April. Signed agreement on April 16. Work began on May 13 and was completed by May 22.
2700 sq. ft. home 2 stories. 4 doors and a complete repaint of gutters, accents, and shutters.

We had a 27year old, modest-sized bathroom renovated by Upward Construction to better accommodate disabled homeowners. Tim Jones, owner, worked well with us to decide on materials and design to fit the space, keeping us updated on the schedule, adjusting for some delays on our part — all with good-natured efficiency and professionalism. Having the materials ordered by Tim & kept in Upward Construction’s warehouse till used onsite was much appreciated.

Casey and James worked very well as a team, skillfully taking on project tasks which included carpentry, plumbing, shower tile & cork floor installation, painting, and placement of a metal framed pocket door. They both partnered routinely with home owners to achieve best accessibility of fixtures, design expectations and aesthetic appeal. No way around dust in construction, but the team was neat including cleaning up site daily and being considerate by doing most of the cutting outside. The whole project, from demolition to finishing touches, took them 12 days. (We had only one rainy day which did stop the work.) AMAZING timing as other companies quoted 4 weeks to 4 months to complete the bathroom remodel.

Upward Construction is a 10-star company. We look forward to having them come back to install insulation under our home for energy efficiency & cost savings.

We’ve been looking to replace our roof for a while now. We had a few quotes from other company’s but once we got Tim’s we knew it was the best option. Not only did he make the process simple, it turned out amazing and was less expensive than the other quotes we had received. I’d recommend him to anyone.

Tim and team have replaced exterior doors at two homes for us now with upgrades and repairs to the existing door frames. Both jobs finished in a timely and well done manner. We also had 2 ceiling fans installed this time around as well. Our whole family loves the new fans and door!

11/10 would use again, recommend, and ask them to build me a house. We discovered water damage in early May caused by a pin hole created during chair molding installation. Upward replaced about 20 sq ft of damaged drywall and re-floored about 1000ft of VPF on our first floor. We lucked out and there were able to start within a few days of the estimate. Repairs took a few extra days due to squaring and leveling issues left by the original builder. Tim's team and M & A Property Solutions displayed extreme professionalism and diligence, solving those issues, taking pride in their work, and taking the extra time to address our concerns and do things right.

Hands down, professional, and quality service. I reached out to Upward Construction for repair and restoration of a few rooms after a ruptured waterline. Additionally, I had asked for cost estimates to redo flooring throughout the main level of my home. If there’s one thing you must know, Tim was very accommodating with his time, schedule, and ability to draft project options and costs. From the first in-person encounter, the transmission of draft proposals, and throughout the duration of work, Tim was prompt and transparent. The team had full access to the house while I was away on business travel. I received routine updates, and was actively informed of ad hoc issues. Even with the minor delays caused by the ad hoc issues, Upward Construction still completed the project within our agreed-upon window of time. The level of professional and quality work was so superior, one would never guess my home had endured water damage - only noted difference, the exceptional install of new floors. Upward Construction will always get my recommendation!

Awesome job! My home experienced some wind damage at the beginning of April which required me to get a new roof and replace a piece of fascia. Tim responded to my request almost immediately. It was such a pleasure to work with someone that is so kind and knowledgeable. Within two weeks of our initial contact, I had all the repairs completed (and it was under budget). Upward resurfaced and rescreened our deck. They did a great job. I basically have a new deck and screened area. Beautiful job. Very much a lot of bang for the buck. Thanks Upward.

I cannot speak more highly of Upward Construction and the work they did at my house in Williamsburg. They replaced a badly weathered deck and stairs at the back of my house with a beautiful deck and stairs made of composite material with aluminum railings. They also replaced the wooden fence (also badly weathered) surrounding the HVAC units on the side of house with vinyl fencing.

I contacted Upward along with several other firms, and the owner (Tim Jones) got back to me within a day and talked through the job. He then visited the site (I was away from the house) and within a few days, sent me a very detailed estimate that explained exactly work that needed to be done.

I then met Tim at my house, and he answered all of my questions and discussed options. Tim and team were ready to start the job in a couple of weeks and did a really great job. They prepared the steps and not surprisingly, discovered a lot of wood rot underneath ; they completely rebuilt the structure underneath at an additional (but reasonable) cost.

The crew was great. They showed up on time, were very courteous, and were very careful in their work, always cleaning up the job site at the end of the day, with a thorough cleaning when the job was done.

The final result is just BEAUTIFUL and so much nicer than what was there before and should be pretty much maintenance free. I hope Tim posts some pictures.

Everything about this job went as it should, in that Tim was very responsive to my many questions, communicated when there would be delay (it took a little longer than expected to get materials), and made sure that I was fully satisfied with the final result.

I'm looking forward to working with Upward Construction again and have discussed several projects in my house with them that I would like to do in the future.

I am beyond ecstatic to be leaving this review due to the professionalism, beauty, and craftsmanship of my first home project completed by Integral Aspect Contracting! Literally, I have not stopped smiling since completion!

Prior to beginning the project, I met with the Founder, Tim Jones, to discuss, at length, how to create an idea from a sample picture into my own. He offered "gentle" guidance and expertise, as we worked through what was practical, and he and his teammate, Henry, even came up with some suggestions of which I had never thought were possible. Tim took the liberty of purchasing the materials for me and even took pictures to share with me to ensure satisfaction.

During the process of creating this masterpiece, there were a few things Tim and Henry felt could have been improved based on upgrades completed by the previous owner, and they rectified the issues making this project even more "clean" and beautiful! Also of importance noting, is the fact they respected my home as if it were their own; they covered the flooring where they were working, were careful when placing materials and tools so as not to damage anything, and cleaned up the house after completion of the project.

This dynamic duo far exceeded my expectations with their professionalism and intricate attention to detail, and for anyone that knows me well, I am very particular and a bit OCD! :)

Had a wonderful experience with IA Contracting. Kept us up to date on all the steps with lots of pictures. A roof replacement and a few pieces of plywood that we knew needed replacing turned into a much larger project than anticipated, but IA Contracting kept us in the loop with everything. I can now sleep at night during the rain knowing I wont wake up to indoor puddles.

We used this company to redesign and build both a back and front deck. Every aspect of the project was flawless including estimates, designs, questions answered thoroughly, etc. The crew showed up on time each morning, were professional and friendly, and even stayed late one evening to make sure their work was top notch.
