These guys did amazing work on our roof. I can’t say enough great things about them. Once they got the old roof off and saw all the bad spots they took off and fixed anything that was iffy to be sure the deck was sound and secure. Their metal work skills for doing the step flashing next to my
chimney was next level, it looks like art. The detail and design they put into crafting our dormers was next level, I am so proud of what they did and how they were so polite and fast. You can’t put a price on the level of care, detail, time and effort this company puts into the work they do on your home but they know the value of a dollar and don’t gouge you like other BIG names do in Hampton Roads….

Bill was a pleasure to work with. Same day service… he came out and fixed our siding before our next storm.

Bill Johnston from United Exteriors was first to call and came same day to do appraisal. Bill and I had pleasant professional conversation. Then got his ladder and climbed on roof. Made a very through and detailed inspection then explained. Roof needs and details about other issues that need addressing. United Exteriors is a Master Elite Roofing Contractor for GAF are authorized offer GAF enhanced warranty. Bill gave a competitive estimate for roof and repairs. The estimate was very detailed and emailed to me before he left. He revised as we went through discussion and revisions. When agreed and completed. I signed electronically. The other 4 contractor worked from a paper check box form with notes.
He was one of two of five contractors who got on roof to inspect. (and spent time looking) I spoke with all five. He had covered all issues that others presented.

We were able to schedule the work two days later. Bill and his team arrived on time 6:30am ready to work an experienced six-person crew that worked quickly and professionally. Set up tarps and refuse trailer first before starting work. Then team spread out and started. Could see each team member was experienced and confident.
I am Amazed at focus. Worked consistently and steadily all day. Constantly cleaning as they progressed. Had a dedicated lady who tirelessly worked at detailed cleanup and assisting other workers. It was team effort and observed whole team work at pace. When they stopped for breaks and lunch the team stayed together. A real indication of a Happy work crew.
Bill helped them over come so issues. They found two bad rafters and I decided to replace a skylight day of that had been priced, Bill sent to get materials and completed same day. When team was done with roof there was very little clean up needed. Job was consistently clean.

As bonus they repaired some siding issues. No box of satellite dish wires entering house and some time pieces missing. Replaced wood on roof rake.

Day after Bill came and personally reviewed clean up and walked the driveway and lawn with Rolling magnet. Spoke in detail about my satisfaction and questions.

I had bought my house back in 2013. My driveway needed to be redone as it got worse over time...smh. I reached out to multiple companies and they were the most knowledgeable and respectful. These guys are the most professional contractors I’ve worked with in a long time. They do what they say they’re gonna do, and they go above and beyond. Bill came out to give me an estimate for a leak in my roof, was on-time, assessed the situation quickly, came up with a smart solution, and gave me a very competitive price. I had other companies scheduled to come out later on, but felt very comfortable with Bill and his company and decided to hire them on the spot. Five days later my roof was fixed and it looks perfect! I couldn’t have asked for a more seamless, efficient, and stress free experience. If you have a roof issue, don’t waste your time with these other companies that do shoddy work and charge twice as much, save yourself time and money and just hire United Exteriors, you won’t be disappointed!!

We recently replaced our roof and upgraded our gutter system with United Exteriors. From start to finish it was an excellent experience. There was a prompt response to the initial request for an appointment. Mike did a thorough inspection of roof. He listened to our needs and concerns and gave several options for how to meet those needs within our budget. We had a detailed written quote before he left. It was not a pushy sales situation at all. The quoted price was extremely fair (we had three quotes). They scheduled the job quickly as soon as we indicated we were ready and were very communicative during rescheduling that had to occur due to weather. The crews were exceptionally professional and productive for both roof and gutters. Mike stopped by while work was happening and after it was done to ensure that we were happy and work was of high quality, looking it over carefully himself to ensure that it met high standards.
We had no issues with cleanup or damage. We recommend with no reservations!

I would give more stars. Beautiful, quality work. Attention to detail could not ask for a better job. They sided my house and installed gutters. I have even had a few high wide storms and no issues what so ever. I Highly recommend this company.

Our new GAF roof, installed by United Exteriors, looks amazing! This whole experience has been professional, from initial inspection to the estimate and installation. Their installers were on time, CLEAN, on time, quiet and professional.They minimized any potential yard damage as well as the debris field by carefully placing tarps all around the house before work began. The final cost was most reasonable! The “new look” is amazing! We will go into the upcoming storm season with confidence! Best local roofer we’ve dealt with since the 1970’s!

United Exteriors were very professional. I needed a roof replacement and I found United Exteriors thru Angie’s list. I was somewhat nervous because I wasn’t able to be present for the installation; however, the Project Manager, Bill Johnston kept me informed the entire time and was very responsive via texts. Bill provided pictures during the various stages of the installation, which put me at ease that I chose the right company. Bill was the epitome of what a project manager should be; he was in communication with me the entire time. My roof looks beautiful! Connected with United Exteriors through Angi. I recently had siding rip off the side of my house in multiple places. I had been calling contractors for a quote but no one was really very responsive. Bill call me on Saturday night and he was willing to come on Sunday to do a quote on the spot. He came to the house, walked the property and did his assessment of the siding as well as the roof. He made his recommendation and crunched the numbers and was able to get me a quote during the visit. I was blown away that a contractor would come out on a Sunday. After the quote, i decided to go with United Exteriors for replacing the siding for the entire house as well as a roof replacement. Bill kept me in the loop with the time frame and scheduling.
