For your own mental sanity, please find another company if your insurance assigns you here for home repairs or if you are looking to do work on the home. When we brought up issues in the home we were told (and I quote) “We are a restoration company, not a renovation company” - essentially alluding that we should be grateful for that the work they did, even though it wasn’t complete. We were assigned TYL for a house fire that occurred about a year ago and it has been the most stressful and difficult process, and TYL made it no easier. I’ll add a link to a Google Drive folder with screenshots, photos and videos of our experience. For now, I’ve attached screenshots from my record keeping of things that were wrong in the home in May - mind you we moved back in March

When they first come, they make it seem like it’s about to be this fantastic process and that everything is going to go so smooth. But if it wasn’t for the fact that I kept meticulous documentation and held them accountable, our house would’ve been half finished. The fire in the house started in August and they didn’t even get started building things until maybe Oct - They said it was because they needed to get things approved and together. But even then, throughout the winter months, there would be weeks where nothing would be taking place and the house door would be open then because they originally told us March is when we would move back in once March starts approaching, you see them working at all hours of the day. Like if you were really spacing out your work correctly why are you in my house at 2 AM on a Wednesday in February? Then once we finally move in, we see things like the doors frames uneven, they took off a wall and didn’t replace it, the porch isn’t finished, windows are missing screens, the wood on the door is ripping apart (they refuse to take responsibility for it to this day) And worst of all when we moved back into the house after giving them our furniture, clothing, items that we care about for the last six months - Everything is still covered in soot and water. None of the items were cleaned and we ended up having to clean what we can and wash all of our laundry by ourselves. We threw away a good chunk of our items because they were water damaged, moldy, etc. from sitting in boxes for months untouched.They took off a wall that we told them to only turn into a half wall then we had to pay extra for them to put the wall back

Even to this day as we approach the one year, there’s still things that are not done in the home, and I repeated myself so many times to the project managers (We’ve had two and both of them refused to come onto the site and take a look at things after the contractors worked on it, won’t believe us when we tell them that something‘s not working right, and even when there were serious things going wrong in the house, they refused to come until we paid the deductible (Which we sent immediately, and even then they still took two weeks to respond. I then told them that that’s not good project management. The same way that you would tell your job when you go on vacation you need to tell your clients as well )) something as simple as the soap pump that they installed not working, they refused to fix it. They kept telling us that we’re doing something wrong and every single time we show them that it’s still not working.

Honestly, the list goes on. I should’ve known that this would be a chaotic experience when they refuse to bring dehumidifiers into a home that was flooded with water after a fire. From having to chase behind them to make sure the house was adequately, put together, to coming back after six months to realize that all of our items in the house we’re still covered in smoke and soot and just sat in a warehouse for months without even being looked at, to still having things in the home, not working correctly to this day - TYL Has done irreparable harm to my mental health, my piece of mind as well as my family’s, and I can only hope that the work they did on our home doesn’t fall apart or devalue the property.

Starting on day 1, we had the most positive experience with Tyl. Our pack out crew Brandon, Ismael and Tay were so professional and efficient. Our flooring and tile was completed by Mynor and his son Andy. their work was outstanding, they are top notch. The painting and drywall was completed by Anthony and his crew, they did a beautiful job. finally, we can't say enough about our project manager Eric Scott. He was phenomenal. He was on site daily, always available. He gave us the assurance that we were in good hands with Tyl. We highly recommend your company and we are so pleased with the results.

*EDIT: THEY ARE SAYING I OWE THEM MONEY.*
I paid all my bills and, to my knowledge, there is no outstanding balance. It's the first time they've brought it up. They quit without talking about this. It feels like this is an invention. I can't believe they are saying i owe them anything after 3 months of quitting. I feel like they would have brought this up by now.

TYL seemed great at first and then it just flew downhill. They tried 3 times to finish a simple job bathroom over 12 months. They devalued my house, lied and never finished. I'm missing grout, my floors aren't level, there's paint and caulk and grout on my tile. It's been 12 months and the job should have taken 3 at most. We went through 3 project managers. The things that I know about their criminal history make me hesitant to write this review(one is ex cartel, the other ex motorcycle club enforcer, both intimidating), but I don't care anymore. I can't write enough to cover the damage they did and the stress they caused. Larry will say things straight to your face, make you promise after promise, and they never came through for me. They lied to USAA and told them that the job had been completed properly. They constantly lied to me and made me promises they never came through on. Zero stars if I could. They told me not to let my kids become trans. It was an insane experience. They said they wanted to treat me like family and do to me what they would want done for them. Larry told me that all the time. I don't feel taken care of, in fact, I feel like i had a year of my time wasted and my house is worse than when they started.

Used them through USAA for some water damage in my basement. Demolition crew was very inexperienced and had to keep calling their boss. Rebuild crew was poor at best. I had to redo caulking, drywall and painting, after they were done. This was back in early November. Today I get another invoice for the Demolition and remediation. I would not recommend them at all. Poor communication, incomplete work and waiting 2 and a half months to bill the customer. Beware!!

When my upstairs bathroom flooded USAA referred TYL. They were Wonderful. The guys came out and fixed the walls and everything. I only had one bad experience and that was with Ms. Patricia Blakely, she lied to me. I was under the impression that the damage to the floor in the kitchen was due to the water damage but she had communicated to USAA at it was a construction problem from a previous job, but didn't communicate that to me. When I reached out to her concerning the floor she had me to believe that she was still working on my case. Until I personally reached out to USAA and found out what was going on. I was so disappointed in her and the adjuster that was no longer working on my case. Not only does she know that I'm battling breast cancer and has just had a Masactomy. There's no way I've couldn't have known that my floor was a construction problem. Now she won't return my calls. To even explain. So disappointed in her.

TYL Inc., the water mitigation company assigned by my homeowner’s insurance, provided an infuriatingly unprofessional and irresponsible service. After performing some initial work, they promised to return the next day to finish the job. Instead, they left standing water in my home and abandoned furniture in the water without the basic step of placing it on plastic—something they did with other items but neglected here.

The communication from TYL Inc. was atrocious. A day and a half went by with no updates or calls. When they finally got back to me, I was told their move-out team wouldn’t be available until the following week. Their story and timeline changed each time I contacted them, making it impossible to trust anything they said.

Fortunately, another company came in and immediately began work where TYL Inc. left off. They brought in dehumidifiers and provided a clear plan and schedule for the next steps, which was a stark contrast to the chaos left by TYL Inc.

TYL Inc. claims to be a Christian company, but their behavior is a far cry from the values they profess. Their service is not only subpar but also deceptive and lacking in integrity. I wouldn’t recommend TYL Inc. to anyone who values their time, property, or peace of mind. They are a disgrace to their industry and the supposed values they market.

I had major water damage from a leaking drain behind the will in my kitchen and bathroom. There was mold and wood rot and we discovered roof problems. TYL helped me through the insurance nightmare and performed all the repairs beautifully. New roof, kitchen and bathroom. The whole team was great to work with and really seemed to care about me. We have animals and could not just get a hotel while the work was done. TYL worked hard to minimize the disruption to my family. I will use them for any repair or remodeling jobs that might come up in the future.

I had the pleasure of Kameron Carter doing my mitigation after a leaking pipe. My kitchen was torn apart but he was able to get everything dry and he 100% cleaned up after himself, he even cleaned up after the plumber that I hired. He was professional, knowledgeable, and had great communication throughout the whole process. TYL inc. is blessed to have such an amazing employee!!

Lost or Stole my huge piano and an expensive hair dryer. Both items are exceptionally large so I’m not sure why they didn’t know what happened to them. Did not respond or communicate when I asked about it pretty much ghosted me. Only said I signed a waiver that makes them not liable. They also failed to demo my kitchen which resulted in mold which they did come back and remedy. Although the interaction was friendly in the beginning Needless to say I am so glad I went with another company to restore my property.

Uncommon level of responsibility and attention to detail! USAA had originally referred us to a mold remediation company and they performed horibly. After asking for a new crew we found TYL. Robert from TYL was incredible and the level of effort he put in was amazing! His professionalism and desire to get us 100% mold free was something we only dreamed of. DONT EVEN BOTHER WORKING WITH TYL. They’re extremely lazy and lie. I’ve been waiting for over a month to have work done in my house and all they’ve done is a single thing of the multi-step process. Every time they say they’ll come there’s always a reschedule for many different reasons. Just a bunch of excuses why they can’t come out and why another job took precedence over ours. I’m extremely disappointed and would never work with them again. Only reason I’m still working with them is because the insurance already paid them out .

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. These guys have the most unprofessional workers. They left trash (including cigarette butts) all over my property, and I had to clean up after these clowns to prevent my dog from accidentally eating any of that crud. What’s worse is that while they were repairing my roof, at least one of their workers dropped nails into my AC unit, AND BROKE IT. They refused to take responsibility, saying it wasn’t their fault that the punctures through the AC unit (and the nails still in the bottom of the unit) happened. It took both my mom and I arguing with them for TYL to eventually agree that they were at fault, and they finally repaired my unit. The project manager is a good dude, but the company as a whole needs to find better workmen. Years later, I’m still finding nails and cigarette butts in my backyard.

Not only is the quality of work far superior to similar work done by another company for the same incident, Craig and his team went above and beyond expectations for customer service. Upon returning from a beach vacation we were met with a large water stain in our foyer. After having the leak repaired USAA recommended using TYL restoration. The timely response by TYL Field Technician Rob Coolbaugh was impressive and he immediately initiated steps towards the restoration. Mr. Coolbaugh kept us in the loop with every action taken and provided an accurate timeline of the process. I called TYL for assistance with a roof inspection for a Refi. I was in a bit of a time crunch and TYL pulled me through with flying colors. Everyone I spoke with was very professional. They were able to come on a day and time that was convenient for me. Not only were they on time, but they were actually an hour early after calling and confirming that the earlier time would work. All in all, I could not be happier with the service that I got.

My need was a simple drywall patch for a rectangular hole that a plumber had made to repair a pipe. Tim was able to schedule someone to arrive the morning after I called him. Nelson, the technician, was courteous and professional and very meticulous with his work. When I asked him how long he thought the entire job might take, his estimated time was within twenty minutes of the actual, so he helped me easily plan my day around his visit. He suggested that I’d have a more professional look by cutting an extra two inches on one side of the patch job, so that he could replace the piece of drywall all the way to the seam. This meant a little extra time painting, but he was terrific and the end product was very professional. There is not even a hint of a patch job. Would wholeheartedly recommend these guys for any drywall work.

We recently contracted with TYL to repair damage done by a faulty restoration at our community pool house. We had a terrible experience with a previous contractor that left our bathhouse is various states of disrepair. Working with TYL (Paul specifically) was a breath of fresh air and a master class in professionalism, dedication, high standards, and timeliness. Paul was on top of it all. We had so many delays and disruptions that were out of our hands and Paul was able to navigate them with ease and flexibility. Josue and Ricardo came at midnight to snake the sewer line because of a back up into my tub. I live in a bottom townhouse and they found baby wipes from the neighbors above me, and the baby wipes were clogging the pipes! Josue and Ricardo were so nice and professional, and left the place as nice as they found it! When they were done, you would never have known they were here!
