I do not recommend Tristate Roofing. I reached out to them to schedule a roof inspection and routine roof maintenance for a home I recently purchased. Initially I was unable to get in touch with them. It took several voicemails and almost a week of consistent calling. When they finally responded they stated they were booked out for several weeks and would not be able to look at the roof prior to my closing date. I requested to make an appointment for the roof inspection and maintenance once the home was purchased and they stated this was a "special and unique request" and would send me a quote to approve prior to scheduling the appointment. They are a roofing company...How is looking at a roof to determine maintenance needs a "special request?" The home is a simple one story, 1800 square foot home with a simple roof. A few days later I received a quote for $823 for a "roof inspection." I called Tristate Roofing because I figured this was a miscommunication or misunderstanding. I even asked if the $823 "inspection" would go towards any of the recommended repair costs (the answer was NO). Tristate Roofing stood behind their $823 estimate just to look at a roof and tell me what routine maintenance needs performed. I called two other roofing companies who have the same GAF certifications as Tristate and received 2-2.5 hr labor quotes not exceeding $300 for roof inspections. There are a lot of professional and great roofing companies in the area and I do not recommend settling for Tristate's unprofessionalism and scandals.

Austin Teague came to check out our roof and gutters tonight. We had recently had our gutters cleaned and were told we had an issue. Austin checked it out, gave us what felt like honest feedback and gave additional recommendations for maintenance. We definitely would consider calling Austin when we are ready to have any work done.

We investigated several roofing companies before deciding on Tristate. We were very happy with the salesman, Kyle. He explained in detail what all would be done and what options we had. He said it would take 3 days and it did. They scheduled us in a timely manner, showed up at 7:30 that morning, and did a great job. The two installers worked tirelessly 10 hour days in the cold, wind, and near darkness to get the job done. We are so pleased with the roof and the professionalism of the company.

Have not used them for any projects yet, but the guy that came to the door, Ausem , was very good at explaining who they were and what they did. He was very respectful of my time and not hard aggressive selling like some others I have experienced. If he is an example of of their staff and customer culture then I would put them top of the list for future projects.

AD the sales manager was very clear on all our options for having our roof replaced. We discussed several financing options and time for when the job would be scheduled. My husband and I appreciated his expertise and recommendations for our specific needs. I would highly recommend having them be included in your selection when considering a new roof. My son got a sucker trick-or-treating with an ad for this business on it. I can't vouch for their work, but that is a bit scummy.

Edit: changing to 1 star. They have called me 5 times in 2 days without leaving a message. They really need to fire whoever is in charge of their advertising.

Austin came out for tri-state roofing. He did a great job of setting expectation. We’re looking forward to working with tri-state roofing. We love their marketing promo opportunity. We might come back to them for future jobs to house siding and a whole different That’s OK roof for a different house if this goes well.

Austin arrived on time and was very friendly and my dog liked him Austin gave me a thorough assessment of my roof and also some suggestions to add longevity.

I was going to get an estimate for new windows from this company because the door-to-door fellows were lovely. However, when it came to scheduling the estimate I was told that unless my husband was present with me they would not do an estimate. What year does this company think it is that a woman cannot make a decision without her husband? Gross. I recommend not doing business with such a small minded company.

**2025 Update**

We were able to reach an accord and get this resolved quickly thankfully. I do appreciate them finally getting back to us about how to resolve. We did hire someone else to do the repairs and mold remediation and didn't have to pay. Satisfied

**Update 11/27 **

Continued to reach out to PM about the shotty work and how we spent even more money to get it fixed without any response. Talking to my bank about doing a charge back as they agree this is ridiculous

**Update 10/29** - We were contacted and visited by a Project Manager who agreed the work was subpar and should have been inspected prior to paying the sub-contractor they hired. This happened on Oct 3. Since then we have not gotten any response dispite multiple attempts to get an update. **

We hired them to re-do the siding on the front of the house. But they did NOT do the work perfectly and caused us more issues. We had an architect and engineer check afterwords. Because they didn't cut the vent hole correctly. We ended up with mold in our attic. So now we are having to get mold remediation done. And this is after hiring another company to fix the issues with the siding.

The bellyband is warped. The caulking is failing in certain spots. They did not drill a hole for our doorbell correctly. We had to make a block. Same for the light. Had to make a block. Then the hose cover they put on doesn't allow it to drain correctly. So we have to be careful there.

I did reach out and sent photos of the issues. They said they'd send someone out. So I sent photos, and still no response

Austin and Jullian did a great job of explaining what our options were for our roof replacement. It was a pleasure talking to them.

We just met with Jullian and Austin for a estimate to replace our roof. They were very knowledgeable and thorough in their explanation of the company, product and process. It was a pleasure to meet with them.

Meeting with sale Rep Amanda she was sweet, kind and informed about product worked the sale and was able to GIVE me a FREE GUTTER SYSTEM.Which convinced me to use this company.

Mike and Ad were incredibly kind, informative and helpful! They were understanding of our budget limitations and answered all of our questions with transparency.

Ben came out and gave me a great demonstration of his product as well as useful information detailing the warranty and installation process.

Austin, fast talker that he is, talked us through the layers of roofing material, the mold he found in our attic (husband went with him) and explained everything in detail. He did good work for our neighbors. They are family owned which impresses us. We felt we were dealt with honestly. Thank you Austin!

AD inspected our roof and told me repairs weren't needed. He even taught me how to check my own roof! I was relieved to have an honest person inspect our home. Anyway, will be calling them in the spring to get a quote for repainting our home.

Austin Teague was transparent and came off as a trust worthy and honest technician. The timing did not work out for me this time to book work, but because of Austin’s professionalism I will consider using tristate in the future.

Had the best experience last week with a salesperson that did not feel like I was having a discussion with a salesperson. Jullian was honest, open, and there was no pressure. Jullian took the time and effort to understand my needs, while also making the process informative and educational. By the time we got to discussing the cost I was comfortable with the new roof I am going to be getting, and how much it is going to cost me. I am eagerly awaiting a scheduling call from their office here this week, and hope they continue with the same high level of customer service I have seen so far.

Austin was really great! He took time to go over our questions and roof desires. He was able to work around our crazy schedules to get us going. We're super excited to work with him and Tristate.

We just had Ben come out and give us a bid and must say, after having other bids, he was the most thorough and up front bid we heard. He knew what he was talking about. He was honest and straight forward. He did a great job explaining the roofing process as well as the several options available to us. He answered every question with confidence and to our satisfaction. He balanced the line between being a salesman and also understanding the plight of a homeowner, never making us feel rushed. I works hands down recommend him and his company in the future.

I hope whoever reads this review saves themselves from the Tristate experience. My wife and I hired Tristate to complete multiple projects at our home and not one of them were completed as promised. Tristate’s most significant failure came from the skirting they installed around our home. We own a manufactured home and the skirting around it was severely damaged to the point animals could get under our house. Tristate said they could fix this, and multiple people promised us, multiple times, they would install it in a way that would completely enclose our crawl space, keeping dirt and animals out. The day the work crew arrived, I tried to explain to them what I wanted to ensure it was done properly but the foreman spoke broken English at best. After the work was completed, we found they had simply propped up the old and damaged material behind the new material, which caused dirt to slide under the new skirting, entering our crawl space (see photos). When we reached out to Tristate about this, we were met with nothing but hostility. Rather than trying to help us find a solution, they said the work we wanted done on the skirting was “outside the scope of the contract and manufacture recommendations.” None of this was communicated to us beforehand, and the limitations of the material used (James Hardy board) was never discussed. After correspondence with multiple employees only ONE apologized for our experience, but even that only came after threatening to file a civil complaint in court. At the time of this writing, we are still trying to complete the repairs Tristate failed to do. As young homeowners this has taught us a lesson that unfortunately had to be learned the hard way. If you are considering hiring Tristate, save yourself some time, money, and sanity and look elsewhere.

Austin and Bob came to our house to conduct an inspection of our roof and give us a cost estimate. They were professional and thorough in their explanation of everything that was found during the inspection to include pictures of trouble spots. They were also very patient with all of our questions. We were fully briefed on all of their product options and what to expect during installation. Initial visit/roof assessment with Tristan was very helpful. Very knowledgeable about our house and Tristate product. also provided some additional tools/web links with useful info for homeowners.

We asked Tristate to come out to Poulsbo to do a roofing quote. Austin Teague was the most kind, empathetic, knowledgeable salesperson we have ever worked with! I would recommend this company 10/10. Even when we had to go in a different direction due to our tight budget, he never made me feel judged for saying it wouldn't work out for us. Also he was doing the quote with our 2 young toddlers screaming for attention and was so patient and unfazed, it was remarkable!

Our experience with tri state roofing on our project was done promptly, there was an issue with some flashing but sales manager Mr. Bob Dingham sat down with us and respectfully resolved the issue.

Now 6 months later, project unfinished. They ask for a five star review before the work begins, so that’s what many of these “reviews “ are. Incapable of executing and finishing the project on time. Now after a $45,000 project I had to constantly manage, follow up myself, and except constant repairs to their workmanship and substitutions from original scope of work, a one star review.

Update 5.25.25. Deck Tech walkable deck membrane did not last the first winter. Installed incorrectly. As soon as the weather heats up, it’s showing blisters and large bubbles. You could press in with your foot. There’s an area in the cricket that is already starting to separate and I can see where other seem intersections are beginning to bubble. Getting a hold of them and getting things resolved as painful. I’ve now included the Better Business Bureau.

Tristan was awesome! He’s super friendly & knows what he’s talking about. We feel good going with his company for new windows.

We had (7) windows replaced by TriState, (2) of them which were quite large. The relationship with the company was very professional and friendly from the very start, beginning with the bid process to the completion of the job.

All of the staff was courteous, and took care to make sure we were happy with the results. I would recommend TriState to anyone.

I couldn't be happier with the job Tristate did on my roof. 1,600 Sq ft rambler with attached 3 car garage, so a fairly large roof. There was a 2 day window before the rains came. My roof was done just after lunch on the second day. It rained that night.

I've had these folks out 3 times for different work and have been very impressed with the quality and professionalism of everyone in the company. So, roofing company, who also do siding. Massive project. I have lived in my home over 15 years, and could not really afford to keep it maintained, with T-111 siding... Wanted and needed to upgrade for a long time. These guys not only showed up for a quote, they got the job done! Don got me started, and enough materials were ordered. Hiccups included some mis-com between Don and contractors about what and how much to do, but between the hassle free communication between foreman Giovanni, and company point person Katie, all my hopes and dreams of this project were fulfilled. I feel confident that I have a home that will look beautiful, and last through my ownership and through at least the next owner!

May 2024 Edit: 15 months later: still awaiting last window to be replaced. Numerous windows leaked post installation. Recommend to continue to looking elsewhere if you are looking to have windows replaced.

Sean was great and very informative walking us through the purchase of a new roof. He answered all our questions throughly and was a total gem.

Two year update: It took a bit to get them to add another vent to the attic that was originally agreed upon, which was a lot of back and forth, but now after heavy rains, two years after our skylights are leaking. After the original hassle of adding another vent we’re probably going with someone else now to fix this issue.
