Thank you for the fantastic work on our new front porch! We absolutely love it. The porch really transforms the look of our home. The team was professional, courteous, and accommodating throughout the entire process. We’re thrilled with the results and know our family will enjoy the porch and make lasting memories on it for years to come.

We love our new four seasons sunroom constructed by Town and Country Renovations. When I sit in the sunroom I feel like I am in a peaceful woodland forest. Steve Miller and Trent worked closely with us throughout the design and construction of the sunroof. They were always available to answer any of our questions, and the quality of the construction was top notch. We also appreciated their attention to details and their willingness to make changes we requested. They did a great job! Steve & Lezle

During 2024, my wife and I hired Town and County for two projects.

First, was to build a new sun room addition to our home and a lower outside deck that is directly below on our sun room.

Every aspect of our dealings with Town and Country (T&C) was professional and top-notch. Anytime we had a question about the project, T&C staff would always promptly communicate back with us in a timely manner. The sun room was completed in April 2024, and we have been enjoying this new living space in all four seasons of the past year.

Second, we hired T&C to replace a 32 year old shower/bath in our master bedroom, with a new walk-in shower.

I especially appreciated the owner of T&C coming to my home and giving us guidance on what to place in our new walk in shower, while the sales rep for T&C was on vacation. The owner was a down to earth, humble fellow and I didn't realize that he was actually the owner of T&C, until the end of his visit. The install of the shower was completed in November 2024 and we are pleased with the work T&C performed.

Because of the outstanding service that T&C provided on the two projects that I have described above, my wife and I are now considering hiring T&C to replace a small stand up shower in a second bathroom in the near future.

Without a doubt, my wife and I fully recommend Town and Country for the services their company provides.

Town and Country Renovations did a wonderful job adding a portico on our existing front stoop. We have been in this home for 17 years and finally got around to adding this as one of our "to do" things. We were very happy with the pricing, communications, craftmanship, and time to get the job completed. Pictures of before and after should speak volumes of the work done. Well done!

Our concrete back porch on our new home was transformed into a gorgeous screened porch. A large patio extension was then added utilizing Trex flooring. Town and Country truly exceeded our expectations. The staff and contractors with Town and Country were very professional, courteous, and hard working. Before the project began, Steve Miles came to our home, sat down with us and explained everything that would be done and gave us an accurate timeline. We will be working with Steve and the staff at Town and Country in the near future on upcoming projects. A sincere thank you to everyone.

I called in and spoke to the representative on the phone who told me that a salesman would come to my house within 48 hours to do an estimate. I called back several times over 2 weeks because no one ever came out. Finally 3 weeks after the call someone came over. Emailed me a couple of pictures of my house with the following response... "I have gone over the pictures of your project with my installation department and they don't recommend us quoting this project due to the overwhelming amount of siding projects currently on our books
I am sorry we can not help you with this project and thank you for the opportunity to earn your business.

They pushed me off for 3 weeks to respond to me that they would not make enough money off of my project and it was not worth their time. I explained to the rep on the phone in detail what repairs I needed done to my house. She could have told me right then that it was not worth their time instead of pushing me off. Very poor customer service and not reliable to do what they say they are going to do.

I worked in residential construction for 25 years, so I notice more than a lot of people, and one thing I noticed about Town and Country is that these guys are good, very good. Our project wasn't run of the mill and required flexibility and innovation. We had numerous covid related delays, but from Hugh's imaginative design ideas in the beginning, through Danny's crews excellent craftsmanship to Darren's project management, they remained professional and competent throughout. Really glad I chose these guys and would recommend to anyone.

This company did a fantastic job installing an awning, Tommy and his crew were very friendly and professional. Tracy and his crew then handled the renovation of my deck. They were friendly and professional as well. Braden, the original salesperson, followed through to make sure the job was completed as we discussed. I would highly recommend this company.

Town and Country is an excellent company that strives to fully satisfy. They are truly patient and listened to our needs and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations that could lie ahead. They have a trustworthy, courteous and hardworking group of craftsman. I am very demanding and I don't accept anything I consider subpar. I scrutinized all contractor work and materials very closely. If there was anything I didn't like Town and Country either fixed it or changed it to my satisfaction without any hesitation. As we have been remodeling our house I have been exposed to many contractors and this is the first review I have ever been willing to write for anyone who has done work on my home. If you knew me that in itself should speak volumes for this company. They are also the first home renovation company that I have ever volunteered myself to use as a reference.

What I used them for: I specifically wanted Sunrise replacement windows (fantastic value and quality). Town and Country are the only local dealer for Sunrise.

Pros: Followed through with their promises on the small stuff even after the job was completed and they were paid. (How rare is that!)

Cons: None. Any and all mistakes were corrected and handled professionally.

Summery: Town and Country has earned their five stars from me. I would expect over time they will soon have many more similar reviews here.

I recently bought a fixer-upper and one thing it desperately needed was gutters. I did my due diligence and decided to go with Town and Country Renovations. Hugh Powel's (the owner) professionalism and transparency appealed to me instantly in addition to the competitive pricing, quality of work and online reputation. In my line of work (publicist & marketing), professionalism, honesty and reputation are all that matter. Unfortunately, the rain never seemed to stop once I hired Town and Country Renovations to do my gutters. The very first day the rain did subside, Mr. Powel's people showed up (as he said they would the day before, he had excellent communication throughout the process), took down the old gutters and replaced them with shiny new one's. All of his people, from Amanda the Office Manager to the guys installing the gutters, were friendly and professional. In fact, I enjoyed my experience so much that it inspired me to start working with local Roanoke, Virginia Clients and slow down in the Entertainment, Music and Sports Industries a bit. Anyway, if you are looking to do any home improvements, then I strongly suggest giving Town and Country Renovations a call first.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
