We have used Joe Finnegan and his crew twice now. Once in the 90s and now in 2025. Their attention to detail, fair pricing, and timely service can’t be beat. Joe’s kids are now involved in the business and they are all such a wonderful family. We wouldn’t trust anyone else with our roof.

This is the second time we have used Topside Roofing and Exteriors for a roof and they have done a great job both times. Using them for a siding project later this summer. Great people to work with.

Topside Roofing is the absolute best and honest company around. Throughout my years of home ownership Joe and his crew have replaced approximately 6 roofs between my personal residence and my rental properties. There have been a few emergency situations to make sure there were no leaks. They were just a phone call away. Not only do they pride themselves in the professional job that they do but also make it a simple and stressless process. They meet with the insurance adjuster to make sure nothing is missed and communication is always outstanding. Would never hesitate to use them again if the need arises!

I very rarely leave reviews anywhere but I’ve been a bit confused on our Topside experience as I wanted to use them given the reviews. However, our experience seems to differ from others - not sure if it’s because it was a smaller job and not a full roof. Communication has been pretty slow. I’ve had to follow up numerous times whether it be for the contract, getting scheduled, payment, and getting a lien waiver. It also took them over a month to cash my check, which honestly kind of stinks when money is tight and you had planned for the money to leave your account shortly after the job was complete. I’m sure they did a good job (hard to tell since it’s the roof) but I don’t think I’d use them again based on the customer service we’ve received. They need an office manager or someone to deal with all the smaller details.

Could not be more pleased with our new roof! We chose Topside to replace our 30 year old roof and the entire experience from start to finish was predictable and stress free. The initial consultation revealed a couple shortcuts that the previous roofers had taken. These were corrected in the new installation so we now not only have a new roof but a better one! The crew was professional and courteous. No horseplay, no loud music, the worksite stayed neat and organized. Extra attention was paid to protecting our extensive plantings and shrubbery and cleanup was spot on. As I drove down the street to our house, it looked like the houses you see in the shingle ads, gone is the faded dingy old roof and in its place is a shiny new crown for our home sweet home. These guys are the real deal.
