I had a great experience working with T&J Builders on several remodeling projects including installing new floors, updating kitchen counters and building a custom island, upgrading to a new heat system, and converting part of our detached garage into a home office. Taylor and his team were professional, reliable, and delivered high-quality work every step of the way.

We've been planning a big project for quite a while so when it was time to find a builder, we were focused on doing our due diligence and doing it right. While we interviewed four different builders, our first call was to T&J Builders and Taylor picked up our first call even though it was a Saturday. Since that first phone call, Taylor has provided A+ communication and customer service. Additionally, Taylor was the only builder to show up with an architect which was extremely important given where we were in the planning process. Knowing the builder and architect have a good working relationship would seem to improve the process and it certainly did.

With any plan, we made some adjustments along the way and Taylor rolled with them, always focused on making sure we got the addition we were dreaming of. All of this combined with the great group of guys that make up Taylor's crew, ensured a smooth process and an addition that turned out exactly as we hoped.

Taylor, Steve, Andrew, Aaron and the rest of the crew were wonderful to work with and we have a beautiful new kitchen. Taylor and his team did a complete, down to the studs remodel of our kitchen. Their communication was top-notch throughout the process and though the timeline slipped a bit, I was kept well informed. They also did a wonderful job of accommodating some of my less than quick decision making and helped me think through some of the tricky pieces of the project in real time. It felt really collaborative and I ended up with exactly what I wanted.

At the end of the project I had a small punch list of things to have completed and Taylor made sure I was satisfied through this follow up work. I also feel good knowing I can call him at any time if an issue with the space comes up.

I recently had a garage addition built and a basement refinished by T&J Builders, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and professional.

We worked with Taylor to get a concrete pad poured in a detached garage and have our driveway paved. Before working with Taylor, we weren’t having any luck on our own trying to get companies to even come out and give us quotes for the jobs. The day I called Taylor for help with these projects he had appointments lined up to be able to get quotes. He worked with us and together were able to find the right companies to get the jobs done. Taylor works quickly and is easy to communicate with to make sure you get what you’re looking for. We will definitely be working with him in the future.

We had a shed dormer put on our cape cod and a total remodel of the main and upstairs floors. House was taken down to the studs. Breezeway was also made into a living space as an entry and kitchen extension. Taylor was very easy to work with and he was able to start within a few months of us starting our GC search. He did a great job of overcoming some significant obstacles due to the age of the house (1955). He was always available to us on questions and decisions and kept us continually updated on the various subcontractor timelines. He worked hard to get us subs who could do the work we wanted without extending the timeline significantly. We felt well taken care of and he and his team did a great job. Overall we were extremely pleased and love our “new” home.

Recently purchased a lake cottage in Barrington and hired T&J Builders to do our remodel. Taylor and his crews did an amazing job updating our roof, skylights, windows, siding, three-season room and deck. He did it all at a fair price, on schedule and with top-notch communication and organization. We love our new place and will be able to enjoy it even more this summer thanks to T&J.

Taylor and his team really took the time to address our needs in a kind and professional manner. I highly recommend Taylor and look forward to working with T&J Builders again with any future remodel.
