We found Steve through his website and used the instant quote thing. Pretty cool, and gave us an idea of what the roof was going to cost. He came out, looked everything over, gave us an official quote, explained stuff clearly and actually made it make sense. Once the job started, his crew was on it. Steve added ventilation we were totally missing, cleaned everything up like pros, and the roof looks awesome now. Really solid work, and just an all around easy experience. Steve and his crew did an excellent job on our roof. He was very dependable and transparent throughout the entire process. Steve is incredibly knowledgeable and we’re lucky to have stumbled upon him rather than a roofer who only does layovers and doesn’t explain that to a lay person (like me). He and his crew completely removed our original roofing, which was apparently rotted, and replaced it with decking, venting, and other materials that keep your roof healthy for a long period of time. He and his crew cleaned up the area and made it look like they were never here (which is a lot to say if you were to have seen all the roofing they had to tear away). Steve's Modern Roofing installed new shingles and replaced OSB with CDX sheathing on a split level home. A dozen roof rafters were also replaced due to sagging. My roof now looks nice and flat and solid. To my surprise the job was done in a day and it looks spectacular. Steve was great answering questions throughout the whole process from start to finish. The roofing crew was hard working, professional and courteous and the cleanup crew kept the yard around the the house picked up as the roof was being worked on. I would not hesitate to recommend Steve's Modern Roofing to anyone needing a roof replacement.

I went with the GAF Timberline UDZ Charcoal shingles. Coming home and looking at the roof when the sun is out is hard to describe in words. All I can say is “beautiful”. Each shingle is so defined that it pops out. All the edges are crisp and uniform. Such a big difference from my original shingles, which were pretty much paper.

Time 10/10
Once I signed the contract, it was about 2 weeks out. Steve made sure to inform of when the materials were arriving, leaving no room for guessing when. The day of the project, they were here at 7:30am and on the roof by 8am. They were finished and cleaned up by 5pm. Talk about efficiency!

Fast, clean, great looking new roof on our addition. So easy to work with, the job was done before I got home from work never knew they were there.

I had some wind damage to my roof and siding and bathroom soffit vents that needed replacing and the guys came out and gave me a quote and fixed it. I would recommend them to anyone. It was simple, quick, and the job they did was good.

Five Star Roofing was quick to call back. They installed the roof within a week...because of inclement weather., but it was all done within a few hrs during the week. I would recommend them in a heart beat! Great job...looks sharp!

This company is everything you would want. They did what they said they would do, and more. They were at my house at 730am sharp, and stayed until dark. They Finished my cape style home in one day flat! With a 2 layer roof removal and all! They left my yard cleaner than it was before they arrived. What an excellent job!! Due to poor installation from a previous roofing company, any bout of wind would send large patches of shingles to fly off my house and into my neighbor’s yard. After acquiring several proposals, I decided to hire Five Star Roofing. Not only did they provide me with the most competitive pricing, but their professionalism, communication, and overall expertise compared to other companies was bar none. In one day, Chris and Brad fixed all of the major problem areas (spots where shingles were nailed in too deep from another company) and did a thorough job cleaning up. Since then, we have had multiple wind storms and I have not had a single issue with my roof. Chris and Brad are the best. They gave me my quote and set up a date to do the repair but called me about a few days to ask if they could come 2 days early as they had found they had a little room in their schedule. I was thrilled as we were heading into lots of rain. They were on time, cleaned up all of the debris and were done within an hour. Similarly, the job was scheduled ASAP with little waiting to complete it because it was a relatively small repair. Communication throughout the process was excellent.
