Customers are fully satisfied

I got around a total of 15 quotes comprised of resellers, national companies, and local installers. Tiger Solar gave me by far the best deal and included Solar Insure. Their installers did great work on my new metal roof and there was no damage to the gutters. I would highly recommend them.

I am not exaggerating when I say it was a 100% pleasure to work with this team. I had a large solar project that was incomplete and needed someone to correct any problems and complete the project. From my first phone call to the last contact, they have been the most professional, kind and competent business I have ever worked with. They consistently kept me up to date and followed through in a timely manner as promised. Nick as the project manager could not have been easier to work with and Brandon and the rest of the team A+. I highly recommend Tiger Solar and look forward to their guidance and monitoring.

We are writing this review as representatives of the Property & Finance Committee of Valley Friends (Quaker) Meeting (VFM) in Dayton, Virginia.
In late fall 2018, the 10.8 KW, 34-panel, roof-mounted solar array on VFM’s Meetinghouse began producing electricity. It was installed originally by a reputable but now-defunct solar installer under a power-purchase agreement (PPA).
In the 6 years since installment, the system has generated an impressive 74 MWh but has also been plagued by difficulties. It failed entirely on May 31, 2024. The culprit was squirrel damage to the wiring harness, causing a short on one or more panels. About 80 percent of the panels were affected to some degree or other.
By the terms of the PPA, the original installer was to take care of maintenance. When that company failed, the maintenance fell to VFM. What company to contact?
Fortunately, we contacted Tiger Solar. From the get-go, their response and expertise have been superb. Every phone call to the company has been answered almost immediately by a real, knowledgeable human being. Despite a demanding service schedule (much of it repairing systems they did not install), Tiger has been surprisingly quick in scheduling service requests and sticking to that schedule. For VFM’s array, this has required no less than 5 site visits to 1) perform a complete evaluation of the system, 2) replace the inverter (under warranty), 3) remove 28 of the 34 panels to repair the wiring harnesses, 4) reinstall the removed panels, and 5) install a squirrel fence to prevent further squirrel damage. All of this has been done by safe practices on a difficult, 60-degree-slope, metal roof. There have been four different crews of technicians, all extremely knowledgeable and professional. Everyone, both office staff and technicians, have communicated well with representatives of VFM, which in our experience is quite uncommon.
Even more impressive is that the crew that reinstalled the panels corrected several small defects in the original installation (by another company) such as installing additional feet for support of the cross beams and replacing one substandard part. Moreover, they found a small pinhole in the metal roof, plugged it and sealed it. We don’t think you can ask for better service.
VFM’s property committee is so relieved to have these nagging problems corrected and so grateful to Tiger Solar for getting our array functioning again at full capacity and relatively quickly. It’s a great feeling to simultaneously reduce carbon pollution while enjoying cost savings from solar electricity. Thanks Tiger!

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
