Thunderstruck did a phenomenal job on our deck. The team was a pleasure to work with, were up front about materials/cost/process, and didn’t try to upsell us on anything. Communication was timely and thorough throughout the entire process, and they worked hard to get everything done from start to finish in a short amount of time. These guys were amazing. We tasked them with a deck rebuild, and they asked if they could start working in-between their other jobs, which led to them knocking out the whole project a week ahead of schedule. On top of that, their pricing was fantastic, and they were a joy to work with.

This spring we had the pleasure of contracting out a deck with Kyle and his team at Thunderstruck Restorations. It all started out when an 80ft oak fell in our back yard right onto our deck. After contacting our insurance company, I called and made an appointment for an estimate, which was completed within days of calling. When I asked Kyle to be present for the insurance appraiser he agreed without question and spoke on our behalf, considering we were unfamiliar with deck construction and general building regulations.

After completing our insurance claim, the team worked with us on pricing and design that best suited our needs, and was very understanding with our several design changes at the beginning of the process. (We were able to size up and go with aluminum spindles!) They took care of all the paperwork with the city and made everything as timely as possible with their already busy schedule.

The only hiccup we ran into was when the city blue prints showed our septic tank in the wrong spot forcing us to shift the numbers of footing and install a larger beam for support. Through all of this, the team was communicative with the delays, processes, and very reasonable with the pricing adjustment. Once all the building supplies were in order, the deck went up so quickly - working around the random Minnesota weather, it really only took about a week.

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the service we received and were more impressed with the communication and the transparency during the process. We never felt out of the loop, and everything was always thoroughly explained to whichever one of us was home at the time.

And of course we have to mention the craftsmanship of the deck: it’s exactly what we wanted, but better; the attention to detail and care making sure everything was straight, lined up, etc - it’s seriously perfect. They had to replace a couple pieces of siding underneath where the old deck had ruined some, and the pieces are blended in so well. Honestly, the deck feels too nice for this 40 year old house. We’ll definitely be calling Thunderstruck again for any future projects.

From start to finish they helped navigate everything with the insurance company, brought over countless shingle samples and helped walk me through the process. Prompt and responsive I knew what was happening every step of the way. Highly recommend!

I was heading out of town when a windstorm hit and blew 25% of the shingles off of my garage. I called several roofing companies and I got blown off. When I called thunderstruck they stopped out right away. They did the job on just a hand shake. I came home to a new roof in perfect shape. I don't know if they always work on a customers word but they sure helped me when I was in a bind.

Kyle and his team did a great job designing and building our deck expansion project. This project included building to code to support an elevated hot tub. We are very happy with the final product and definitely recommend them.

We hired ThunderStruck to tear down a deck, replace the footings (helical) and build a new Maintenance free deck with aluminum railing. Communications were very prompt with an initial bid within days. I believe the pricing was fair. Most importantly, the deck was built beautifully and with quality standards. Thunderstruck installed blown in insulation into our garage....installation only took a day. They cleaned up afterwards and puttied all the holes.. would highly recommend them.

I am overwhelmingly pleased with Thunderstruck Restorations! I hired them to tear down our existing deck and build a new one, almost double in size. Kyle came out to do the bid the next day after calling, and the project got started within a week. From the initial phone call to final inspection, the deck was completed in two weeks. We were referred to Thunderstruck by our neighbor who had their deck redone 4 years ago and it still looks great. Our old deck was falling apart and we needed more space, so we hired them to do a complete rebuild with new footings and all new materials. Kyle was very helpful walking us through the options for materials (we were choosing between composite and cedar) and the pros and cons of each. We ultimately decided on cedar and couldn't be happier with the final product. Kyle and his team were able to execute our design ideas with great craftsmanship and even came up with a very functional landing due to the unique slope in our backyard. Our old deck was bad so it was a complete rebuild from new footings, posts, decking rails and composite decking and it turned out great, kyle was great to work with and the everything went smooth. ThunderStruck took on 3 projects for me this summer. 1) replacing the decking, rails, and stabilizing our two tier deck in the back yard, 2) building a new porch deck on the front of our house and 3) some landscaping work re-rocking the space under the deck, adding a retaining wall, and setting up a fire pit patio. The crew that did the work was first rate, professional and listened to my thoughts ideas and concerns on the project. They did a great job on both the construction projects and the landscaping work. A solid professional team that bids a fair price for the work the do and doesn't surprise you with the final invoice. I would certainly work with these guys again.

Kyle did a great job on refinishing my deck, from the powerwashing to the final touch ups. I appreciated that he even got some old stain off my house. I would recommend him again.

And this was not a little damage, it was significant enough that the new buyers lender would not provide them the money to buy our house until all the damage was fixed. After a weekend of sudden rain and overflown gutters, I was looking for someone to clean the gutters as I could not because of a bad knee. And the next morning, I found them on Amazon Local on a local deal alert. I contacted ThunderStruck, and heard from them immediately and Ron and Kyle responded to my dire need of service and accepted my request for same day service.
