Tholl Fence

I was really nervous about fixing my own chain link fence that was hit by a moving truck. There are so many different and specific parts to even a simple fence. Home Depot and Lowes didn't have everything I needed on my list and I didn't need to buy a whole 100' roll of chain link fencing. So, I called Tholl Fence to ask if they sell materials to the public. The really nice lady on the phone said, "Yes we do, just drive through to the back building and they will get you taken care of." She wasn't kidding and I couldn't of had a better experience. Ron J. and Jacob were amazing and so helpful. I needed two steel posts with 4" base plates and Tholl's team made them! I was able to get 4' of fencing instead of having to buy a whole roll. They had everything I needed! My fence is back in great shape now and I just wanted to thank everyone at Tholl Fencing, especially the guys in the back for making it all possible. I will refer them to anyone that has fencing needs.

I got my residential 20 year old wooden fence redone with Tholl and had an excellent experience. Communication was clear and consistent. The work crew was friendly and respectful. The new fence looks great! I’ve had many compliments already. Great work!

I booked Tholl Fence to do a relatively small repair to my backyard fence but they originally told me it might take a few months for them to get to my fence. However, they called just a few weeks later and said they could send someone out in a couple days so that was a pleasant surprise. The repair looks very good and clean and will definitely use Tholl for any future fence repairs!

OK people....listen up...Tholl Fence Company is simply the Best. As fourth Generation Nevadans (Reno/Sparks) we couldn't be more pleased with their recent work at our home. Thirty-five years ago we had Tholl Fence install the original fence here and now we have had them back to install some new in our front yard and repair/replace the balance as needed. The job took a full week to complete. From start to finish they were simply superb!!! From Garrett the estimator, the office staff, Nick the residential superintendent, and finally the awesome installers Jose and Ulises were all fantastic!!!! If you are in the market for new Fencing look no further!! They do have a waiting period but make no mistake it will be Well worth the wait!!!

We hired Tholl to install fencing at our home in Montreux and had nothing but issues with them.
During installation they dug up and broke our waterline and underground electrical and just buried the damage in the post hole without notifying us. We had to hire an outside company to fix their damage because Shawna said “they are not responsible for the damage” because we didn’t inform them of the locations of the pipes and wiring!

We withheld final payment on the botched job because it cost us as much to have it fixed by the third party as we owed for the complete job that was not done satisfactorily.
Well, Tholl turned us over to a collection agency which put a lean on our home to collect the final payment.

Shawna works in the office was rude and would not accept any responsibility for the damage caused by their workers which they hid from us!

Please learn from my mistakes and use a company that has higher ethical standards and knows the value of good customer service!

Gina was very nice and pleasant to talk with. She had a great attitude over the phone and overall it was a great experience. Thank you for being so happy.

Friendly people good stock the prices are a little high wood and it is very difficult to get a discount when buying a lot but that being said ed they do have a ton of stuff on hand if you're willing to do the work yourself It does save a ton of money I was doing an acre Of fencing chain link and and it was $ $80000 to get it professionally done but I was able to buy the materials at full at tholl and do it myself for for just over $14000 I have to do a bunch more fencing for kennels and I will definitely be buying my materials from them

If you're a fencing pro and know the lingo and know what you want this is definitely the place, if you're a homeowner trying to do it yourself you'll likely be partially ignored and talked down to but at least they have a good selection of material if you can put up with that part of it.

They had all of the materials i needed, were friendly and took the guess work out of building then fence i was looking to build.

IF YOU HAVE A SMALL PROJECT (UNDER $30,000.00) AND LOOKING FOR A BID DON’T CALL THOLL FENCING THEY DON’T WANT YOUR JOB. I place this up front on my review if you don’t want to read what happened and just move on.

I called Tholl Fencing asking for a bid to place a motorized gate at the top of my driveway. I was told Trevor Applebaum would call me back to schedule a date to come out. After 3 days I had not heard back so I called again and was told Trevor would be calling me soon. Later that day I did get a call from Trevor and the first thing he said to me was “Before I come out, I want you to understand that you are aware of what the cost will be around to make sure you want me to come out.” I said back not sure you can guess since you haven’t seen it but what do you think? He replied “Around $30,000.00 to place a gate on your property” Trevor than went into needing a pedestrian gate along side the driveway gate. I told him this is private property and we are just looking at replacing the current inoperative gate. Trevor then said” We really don’t want to come out and waste our time and not do a professional job.” I replied that was the first honest thing I believe he said that he did not want to come out and do the job.

Since this conversation I have had Tahoe Fencing come out and place a bid and it is less than 10% of what Trevor was guess quoting. THOLL FENCING is a company that is either lazy or just want the large jobs to place their plaque on the fences. So, if you have a small project THOLL FENCING is not the company you want to call. I can not review the quality of their work since they didn’t want to do the job.

All the employees were very friendly and helpful, I would most definitely recommend them and they have a return customer for life .

Called to get quote was told the gentleman was not in was directed to answering service left meaage no call back. Will not call them again i guess some services are not welcomed you would think they would care enough to do any job just to keep their employees working so if you dont want the whole fence done dont call them.

One of worst customer service experiences that I have had in a long time. Went in to ask simple questions about fence building, materials and tools. We were the only customers in the store and were treated like the two young men behind the counter did not have the time of day for us. Their website advertises that they would be willing to answer questions and discuss project with homeowners...not the case. Felt like they had not interest in us unless they were to install the job.
Do not recommend.

The best in the business for about a century. Nobody has the expertise like Tholl Fence. For any type of fencing you can imagine, they can do it.

on two separate occasions, i called to try to get a quote from tholl. once for a "catio," another to get a fence installed. apparently because of where i live, they have never called me back to schedule an appointment for an estimate, even though their ad states they serve all of reno. i live in the virgina city highlands. so unless you live in town i would say don't bother calling tholl for pricing.

BEEN 2 DAYS GETTING TRANSFERRED TO EVERY DEPARTMENT AND NO ONE WILL HELP, MADE BOZES ARE FULL, CALL BACK AND TELL THEM AND THEY STILL TRANSFER TO SAME PERSON WITH THE FULL MAIL BOX, TRY A FEW DIFFERENT DEPARTMENT HOPING SOMEONE WILL HELP , BU NO. PASS THE BUCK SHOULD BE THE NAME. ALL I WANT IS SOME PRICING ON SOME PRE-MADE PANELS .

Awesome company with awesome staff. Really came through for my business. Shawna was a great help and we would have been really stuck without them.

Seemed great at first. Then I talked to other more knowledgeable individuals and decided to return the materials as they were over priced and not exactly what I needed and there's a 15% restocking fee. Not happy with the so called experience and taking money for having materials less than 24 hours.

Great customer service! Friendly staff when I phoned in to get estimate. Very quick to return proposal with a job well done! I will use them for all future needs! Thank you!

In the past, I always hesitated to call Tholl fence because everyone told me I couldn't afford them! HA! They not only were affordable (not the cheapest) but the very best, most professional, and most likable people you could find. Call them, you won't be disappointed.

Just an update. I recently called Tholl because I had a problem with my mailbox. I called 22 contractors and no one wanted to help me, at any price! I called Tholl and low and behold my mailbox was fixed, quick as a wink. I love these folks! They are truly are the best!

I just got off the phone with their salesman named David who tried to justify why he was a lot higher than the competition for 1,000 feet of 8' high screened fence. I told him it wasn't my first time out and he said "well good luck". I said "does good luck mean you don't want to quote this for me". He said "we're not off to a good start so...". So I agreed and hung up. This guy needs a new line of work or a vacation if that's how he treats a $30,000 fence install.

The crew from Tholl fence came to my home and installed an Iron veiw fence and it is beautifull! It was fast and professional and I couldnt be happier. The price was also very good because half of it was on an uphill slope. I expected to pay more because of the terrain. Friendly team and they kept my yard clean.
