The Roof Girl LLC

We ended up getting both our roof and gutters replaced with The Roof Girl and both jobs turned out great. We have an old Victorian multi-family house with several layers of shingles and they were able to get the roof project done in two days. They handled all the necessary permits and were able to get us scheduled within a week. The cleanup afterwards was awesome. The gutters were scheduled the next day after the deposit was received and the job took a day and a half. In terms of pricing they came in significantly lower than the other quotes we received. Jaime was great in coordinating all of the logistics and handling all of the paperwork. They were very professional.

I deducted a star for a couple of reasons. The day after we approved the roof proposal and signed the contract, they told us they “double checked” the roof and that it was actually more complicated than they originally thought, and would need to increase the quote by $3k. After saying that I was going to look for more quotes, they said they would stick to the original bid. Once the job was completed, they told us they underestimated the amount of plywood by 27 sheets and we ended up having to pay almost $3k extra on the back end anyway. Another reason was that during the roof job the entire lot and the surrounding street was a mess. I know a roof replacement is a messy job but we received angry complaints from neighbors about debris entering their yard.

All that to say, our experience with the Roof Girl was still positive and the quality of the work was great. Just a couple of instances where I wish it could’ve gone a little smoother. Would definitely recommend them.

We had an older roof with a small leak in our 1924 home, so we decided a replacement would be the most future proof option for our family.

David and Jaime were great to work with. We received a fair and well-delineated quote that we signed, and within 2 weeks, permits and the entire roof project were completed. Jaime was very responsive and easy to communicate with every step of the way. David assessed our roof and we had a section that was not amenable to overlaying shingle over, so we were also presented alternate options. While that was not in our budget yet, we did not feel any high pressure tactics to do anything we weren’t prepared for yet. He was also highly responsive and accommodating.

Edgar and his crew were great, worked efficiently and got our home done in two days. He was very respectful and kept his crew on task. The clean up was great and easy too! A dumpster came the day before the roof installation and was taken away the day after completion.

Roof girl was clear every step of getting my roof replaced. The quote was thorough with snap shots from a drone. Was able to schedule within a week of quote approval. When unexpected repairs needed to be made, they sent me a photo and explanation to get my approval. The were in and out in a day, the crew is quick and efficient. Dumpster was also in and out in a day and cleanup was sufficient. No hidden costs, good product choices and nice people to work with. Highly recommend.

Edit: you left bags in the trees infront of my house. You left nails and plastic everywhere. I still have 2 packs of shingles in my driveway you were supposed to pick up, and you never replaced my attic vents. Which, wasn't even a concern of mine. You said it was part of what you do. The same as the kitchen/microwave vent that i would imagine wasn't replaced either. I don't deny the damage that was on the roof. But doubling a quote needs to be discussed. And I was told rafters were broken in half which I had no pictures of when I went to send it to an insurance claim. All in all, when the job was done, the work was OK, and the customer service was above average. That's what the 2 stars are for.

Held off on this review for awhile. I had my roof replaced in November. Was quoted a price for my roof knowing a whole bunch of work needed to get done. Was even told I'd have my attic venting replaced, that it was part of what they do during the roofing process. I was totally fine with the quoted price. When the replacement day came, I wound up needing more work done. I had a few busted rafters. At this point my whole roof was off and with the amount of damage done they couldn't even put anything up without repair. So we went ahead and got the new rafters. This wound up doubling my original quote. We had already discussed supplies and everything, this should have been some additional labor, plus the rafters cost. Not double price. After everything was said and done, the roofers left trash all over my yard and in my trees, and busted my gutters. After breaking my gutters, the guy who barely spoke English told me Roof Girl is too expensive. Use his brother/cousins shop in I think Danbury? And made it sure if one thing broke the language barrier, was that I over paid for this job.

I got a new roof in 7 days! From initial call to bid to deposit to dumpster arrival to installation. This company is RESPONSIVE. They made sure to get me a new roof before an upcoming heavy rain, as mine was leaking. There is little that brings me more ASSURANCE than rapid and clear communication delivered by owners with legal expertise and industry experience. Contracts and payments were made easy with current technologies.

I was never left waiting or wondering, as I often am with building contractors. This company deserves continued success!

USE THIS COMPANY

Several year ago a well known solar company installed my panels in what was described as a “faulty installation” and the years of damage and patch jobs by the company rendered me heartbroken. The company’s consumers service in my humble opinion was impotent at best. I was told that if I needed it fixed in a timely manner then I should hired my own roofer and they would reimburse me as stated per-our contract. Not only did Roof Girl return my call right away but Dave made a home visit with in the hour. I explained to Dave what had transpired and he offered kindness and compassion. He did a full evaluation of the roof repairs and Jaime had the contract in my email within a short time. Dave also encouraged me to search for the best bid. I did and theirs was it. I quickly sent my bid into the solar company, only for the corporate bureaucracy to continue for another year. I kept Dave updated on my case and he continued to display understanding, and reassured me that Roof Girl was there to help in anyway. Well, the company ended up using a company they chose to fix my roof, and I had no say since they were paying for the damage they caused. I called Dave to inform him of the corporate’s decision to go with another company. I also called to apologize for wasting their time. I also thanked him and Jaime for their professionalism and continued support during a traumatic experience, that I hope has truly been resolved ( I will see). Dave informed me that I had nothing to apologize for and he was truly happy that things work out for my family. In a world where sometimes nice people finish last, I’m glad we have a Dave and Jaime who displayed caring and integrity at every turn.

Super professional team that got the job done on schedule, with high quality work. They explained the issues I had with my roof clearly, and took care of it quickly. More than satisfied with the results! The written contact and warranty for the work made me feel at ease.

This company has been amazing to work with from the very start. Honest and straightforward. They let me know that, because of the age of my home, I may have cedar shake roofing and since I can't access the attic space in my home they sent someone out to evaluate before starting the job so I would know exactly what I was in for, rather than waiting until day of and getting a huge surprise. We were talking to multiple other companies, mostly "big names" and no one even mentioned this before the Roof Girl team. And our roof IS cedar shake so I can only imagine what going with another company would have cost me. In addition to that, just before the roof was to get started, I lost my job unexpectedly and was counting on my upcoming bonus to pay for the roof, and Roof Girl refunded my deposit even though I was under contract with them. I will 100% be contacting them once my finances re-stabilize. A truly wonderful family-owned company. They were recommended me by my insurance company, as we filed a claim for hail damage. Their quote was much more reasonable than another large roofing entity that looked at my property. Their staff was friendly and responsive. They were able to replace the roofs on our house, attached garage, detached garage, and CLEANED UP ALL DEBRIS in one day!

So easy to work with, they got the job done quickly, and also installed new gutters. Just the new roof and the gutters have made my house look really sexy! It's nice to work with a contractor that will dive in and complete a project without endless nudging!

I’m am impressed with their service. Quick to come out and come back with a quote. The quote seemed reasonable for the job size. Once I approved the quote, we had a date scheduled very quickly. The team started working on my house impressively early in the morning. Every member of the crew looked like they had a purpose and knew their roll. They were able to get all the work done and mostly cleaned up in one day. Did extra than they needed to do and came exactly on budget. Couple heavy rains in, absolutely no problems. The job looks professional from my novice eye and this was the least painless of all the big jobs I’ve had done on my house in the four years of ownership. It was quite a surprise to learn that just a month after buying our dream home, we needed to have a portion of our roof replaced. Being first time home owners, the thought was nerve wracking, maybe even terrifying. We had seen the Roof Girl's billboards and gave them a call. We knew our project was going to be big and we really needed to do our homework to find a company that could handle a house this size and all the challenges that came with it. The Roof Girl LLC was that company and more. Their level of expertise and knowledge of what needed to be done exceeded my expectations. They were not pushy or have a "know it all" attitude as most other companies we bid did. When we awareded them the contract, the communication was excellent and timing was what we asked for. Dumpster was delivered and placed on wood to protect the driveway. The crew boss Maria spoke with me everyday and his team was polite and efficient. They finished this job in three days! I think when you see the photos, its clear this could have been a week long process, but it wasn't. Their attention to detail and showing me boards and pieces that had to be replaced so there was no guessing was spot on. The clean up was fast and they left our property looking exactly as is was before they started. OK, here's the best part. Besides being a woman owned company which a father of our girls I totally respect, their pricing, with the same product line and warranties was almost 25% better than all the other bids. Like a superhero, Dave answered an emergency call, during a big storm. Within hours, he had roofer extraordinaire, Edgar, on the roof accessing 2 huge chimney flashing leaks. After reviewing the issues himself, Dave had his crew in action the same day, finishing the repairs, enabling my family to continue with our travel plans for the holidays. Honest, Professional, on Time and above all CARING! The crew was mindful of my garden and checked in with me to make sure they didn't miss/ mess anything. I garden on 3 sides of my house not easy. My front has a bunch of tomatoes and sunflowers (full sun), among fennel and greens with peppers splashed in and thats just the front. I am so appreciative. It might sound strange doing a review on a company that I did not use, but I was so impressed with Dave’s calm and transparent nature that I felt compelled to do so. He’s a straight shooter and tells it like it is. That’s a rare thing nowadays, and I found it refreshing. It will be obvious the first time you meet him.

I had several companies come out to give me a quote, but I ultimately decided on a synthetic roof that is not available from the Roof Girl LLC. However, the Roof Girl was by far the best deal of all the quotes I received for an asphalt roof, and the only one with a 12-year guarantee on the work. Even the company I finally decided on said that was impressive! The appraisal was quick and easy, which was done by drone. I didn’t even need to be home, but I was.

The square footage measurement from the drone was right in line with all the other quotes. And the written proposal was very detailed covering everything that would be covered, and would not covered. There would be no surprises. He even supplied some great aerial pictures of the roof.

I will recommend the Roof Girl LLC, to everyone I know who’s looking for the absolute best deal on an asphalt roof. You will not be disappointed!

I am in the process of selling a house. A potential roof replacement issue came up during this stressful process. I got in touch with Dave at Roof Girl and he was AMAZING! I was upfront about needing a quote to possibly only use as reference but passing along to any potential buyers and he was still willing to work with me (during their busy season, no less). Based on the immediate response, organization, professionalism, and pricing, we are actually contemplating having them redo the roof before we sell because if they put as much dedication into their work as they do their customer service, I have no doubt it will be a stellar job that we would immediately recoup the cost of in sales price.
