Joseph and The Oak Standard have worked on several projects, big and small, at 3 properties that I own. The scope of work was carpentry: new deck build and roof repair, office build-out, drywall, paint and electrical work. The work was meticulous, well thought out and afforded me as owner the opportunity to voice feedback as each project progressed. I hired The Oak Standard to remodel my master bathroom. This is the 3rd project I have hired them to do and highly recommend them. We couldn’t be more thrilled with our walk in shower, tile floors and new tub. Will definitely use The Oak Standard for all future home projects!

The Oak Standard is fantastic. Working with Joseph, Maria and Steve was super easy and the outcome was extremely high quality. We put in new floors throughout the whole house, as well as some built-in bookshelves, and they helped us work through the process with ease and grace. They were very concerned to make sure everything was done to specifications and to our liking. For instance, they were even helpful in making sure our flooring product, which was being delayed through the vendor, made it to our house much more quickly than otherwise would have happened. They also helped us get matching stain for stair treads that went well with our floor. So, if you want a quality experience use The Oak Standard. I would 100% use them again.

I hired Oak Standard to handle whole-house flooring, painting, and some minor cabinet reconfiguration before selling my home. Joseph, the owner, and Steve did an outstanding job. Joseph came out to quote the project, and within a week, they started the work and completed everything in just 9 days.

Either Joseph or Steve was on-site daily to oversee the progress and ensure everything stayed on track. The workers were quick, efficient, friendly, and always cleaned up after themselves. Joseph was also flexible, accommodating change orders we requested during the project. We purchased a new townhouse and couldn't be more pleased with The Oak Standard's work in our Master Suite and in our Living Room.

When the time is right, we will be calling The Oak Standard again to help us with additional rooms in our home.

We could not be happier with Joseph and the team at Oak Standard. We interviewed several builders for our porch project and none were as professional and transparent as Oak Standard. They were thorough, listened, and produced a high-quality product that looks incredible on our house.

1. Original price for building deck was $26000. A typical sales trick forgot to add water proofing under the deck $4500. How could one forget such a big amount.
2. All the dirt from digging hole was left on the lawn and gravel. Asking $3000 to move the dirt.
3. Underneath old deck is clean and open while the areas under new deck is full of post. No place to put outdoor furniture.
I would not hire them again for any project.
- Adding project cost to make more sales
- Not mention what the project will look like.
- Leave the site clean and without any dirt asking more money to do so.

My wife and I initially reached out to the Oak Standard based on a referral from a friend. We had a very large project - to remodel a lake home built in the 1970's. It was a wood foundation house that had received many changes over the years but now we wanted a fresh start - a do-over to make it our forever home. We met with Joseph to describe our vision. He also has some great ideas to share - things we agreed would make the home beautiful. Things like a stamped concrete patio, beams high in the family room, and interior doors & trim. We also met his wife, Maria, who was an interior designer. She really helped with defining the interior feel as well as with the selection of cabinets, shelves, flooring, fixtures, and paint. They were both so helpful. When we ran into challenges, usually due to the age of the home and building code back then, Joseph and his team presented options to help us determine the best solutions to meet those challenges. When it came to construction, the Oak Standard team was quick without sacrificing quality. We are very happy with their work and would definitely recommend the Oak Standard.

Oak Standard did a fantastic job transforming our back yard with a stamped concrete patio. Not only did the patio come out looking gorgeous, but Joseph and his team were quick to respond to questions and were able to finish the job quickly. I would highly recommend Oak Standard.

The Oak Standard did a terrific job with all aspects of my roof damage insurance claim. They performed the initial repair work. But then they also stuck with me through my fight with the insurance company until we successfully got a complete roof replacement approved. The new roof looks great and the roofing crew were all easy to work with. Next came gutter replacement, and the guttering crew was terrific, we got new, larger custom gutters and downspouts and they look fantastic! In the course of roofing and guttering, whatever they discovered wood rot, those damaged sections were also replaced. The Oak Standard carpentry team had also done some previous external wood repairs and we have been very pleased with that workset ever since. This is a trustworthy organization, I highly recommend them, and I certainly will use them again.

I am a construction teacher. I care very much about the quality of a build. We had The Oak Standard come to our home to build our deck as well as finish the drywall in our basement after a flood. They were incredible even to my picky standards. They evaluated our situation, came up with fantastic ideas, asked our opinion, great communication, so incredibly happy with the pre build communication.

The crew that came in and built our deck were quality craftsmen, hard workers, extremely polite, and did a great job keeping the worksite very clean. I would use The Oak Standard every time for any outdoor construction.

The Oak Standard came back and finished the drywall in the basement. Again, they asked questions to make sure we were on the same page before anything happened. This crew was also incredible for all the same reasons listed above.

The entire team was fantastic to work with, they really listened to what I wanted and helped me realize my vision. They were responsive and easy to get ahold of, any changes I wanted were quickly addressed and an added bonus is they are just really good people.
