It's an hour + trip from the south suburbs of Chicago, but if you want a diverse and well manicured garden for photos it's the best place you can go in the Chicagoland area, period!

We went to the gardens to take pictures and it was lovely. Very well kept and lots of spots to sit and soak up the scene. Wish I could go there and read on a nice day more often! Would recommend.
