The Davey Tree Expert Company

Posting this review of behalf of my parents. The Davey Tree Expert Team (they believe names were John and Steve) did an outstanding job removing a large tree that was leaning over the roof of their house as well as some overgrown shrubs. They were impressed that they were able to remove the tree without any damage to surrounding areas and cleaned up the debris afterwards. Thank you for doing an excellent job. They highly recommend this company.

I had my free consultation with JR who was full of fantastic Good advice For my wisteria vines As well as the condition of my existing shrubs and trees. I am hiring them to install my beautiful new weeping blue cedar. To date, they have been very easy to work with and to make sure that I am happy. I’m looking forward to more Davey Tree experiences from Monroe. Will keep you all posted .

Davey is an excellent company to work with. Their employees are highly trained, friendly and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. In addition, they do a great job with community outreach. Highly recommended!!

The guys from Davey were amazing! They came out on time, they were professional, polite and friendly. They cut and pruned my bushes and shrubs, cleaned up after and even gave me tips on maintaining them. I highly recommend this company and will be calling them again to treat and trim my large tree in my backyard.

Awesome job by Davey Tree service Monroe Mi. Had a 50+ year old maple tree they had to climb to get it down. Very safely done. Employees were fantastic, courteous, friendly and respectful of property. Highly recommend

Davey team arrived on-time and verified with me what there were going to do. I had 3 trees and lots of brush removed from side of creek bed. They cleaned up 25 years of overgrown land and left me a beautiful view from my patio. They took extra care hauling away all debris to front of my house so that I didn’t have anything to cleanup.
The Davey Team members were awesome and I have recommended Davey to my neighbors.

The crew from Davey was top notch! Wade, Dan, & Josh were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, & even went above & beyond in doing some trimming & clean up that wasn’t part of the original quote.

I've always had great service from The Davey Tree Expert Co. (formally Floral City Tree Service). They balanced my large birch tree after the storm and sawed up the downed limbs. They took down my dying 30' pine tree safely. I would definitely recommend them.

My father called in May to set up a spraying, got a quote on our door with a price, he then called back to set up the spraying in baycrest Beach the lady on the phone said ok no problem our sprayings start in June we have you on the schedule, nobody has showed up, called or anything, we used them along time ago when we lived in Erie shores off of North Dixie back in the 90s they used to be a stand up company, nowadays I would look elsewhere for a reputable company to do business with.

We have had our 2 trees taken care of this time , have used this company in the past. Great service and great price, signed up for 3 trees for next year, I wouldn’t use any other company! Thank you Floral City Tree service. Jan Quatro

The receptionist is amazing. I’m sure she fields many complaints. The receptionist 5 stars. That’s were it ends. Yes I’m know there’s rain but cutting down 2 trees & on a sunny day not coming back to finish, not cool. Leaving tree limbs & logs in my neighbors driveway, not cool. My neighbor is suppose to deal with that mess from Wednesday to ?????? today is Friday, no weekend work ???? Hmmmm. We went out bought a chainsaw & finished their job. They were also to cut down a 3rd tree but told them to forget about which I’m sure they don’t care anyway. Took a month to get the quote, then it took 2 months for them to come & partly do the work order. Not waiting another 2 months for completion. My friend encouraged me to leave a review so I did.

Great company, great pricing! Wow did they make it look easy.. Steve was actually at my neighbors house when I approached him asking about removing a tree, he wrote me up a quote (very cheap btw) and when I called they were out within the next week! Fabulous company, everyone was very nice & helpful to my questions... Definitely recommended!!!!

These guys did tree service for my neighbor. They pulled their heavy equipment into my drive without permission and moved it when asked. But, after when discussing my dislike of them doing this one of the three decided to confront me with profanity. There are more professional services to use. Stay away!

I had this co. take down two trees back on August 8th. They were suppose to come back in a day or two to grind the stumps. It's been six weeks and they still haven't come to complete the job. I have called every week and always get some excuse as to why they haven't been out to grind the stumps. I would not recommend or use their services again.

We are Floral City Tree Service. For the record-we never ever did any service of any kind for the three people that left negative reviews. We have no idea who they are. We have been in business for 66 years. We have done something right all these years to be thriving in our community that many years. We do provide free written estimates. They came out quickly after being called, maybe because they are so overpriced that they didn't want to risk losing a sucker. The men were not just unfriendly, they were borderline rude. The $265.00 bill was for trimming one small, rather low limb from a very accessible tree and clean-up/ haul away of the limb. The limb is still in my front yard a day later. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. As a matter of fact when I mentioned it to anyone they all either laughed or gasped and asked me if I had hit the lottery or something because they are so overpriced.

Called Floral City to get a quote to remove a large bush. It took them weeks to come out to give us a quote. After receiving the quote we called them to schedule an appointment to remove the bush, they never called us back. I guess they don't want our money.
