Tekline Roofing

We had our roof replaced by Tekline in April 2025 on a very old rental property. The replacement was required by our homeowner’s insurance company, which made timing and budget especially important. After researching and getting quotes from four well-reviewed companies, I chose Tekline because of their strong warranty, longevity in the business, and consistently positive customer feedback.

From my first interaction, I was impressed. Tekline responded to my quote request within minutes and scheduled an onsite visit within the week. Their estimate included detailed photos, measurements, and even an attic inspection — which none of the other companies offered. Jose Bejarano, the estimator, walked me through every line of the quote and was patient and thorough. While their price wasn’t the lowest, it was fair. When I explained my budget concerns, Jose spoke with the owner, Scott, and they worked together to help me meet my budget without sacrificing quality materials.

They understood the urgency of my insurance deadline and scheduled the job accordingly. Since I live out of the area and couldn’t be on-site, I asked if they could send progress photos — and Tekline was the only company that not only agreed, but said they do this routinely for all clients. That gave me peace of mind that they’d use the specified materials and follow every step of the process properly.

Before the project started, they emailed a helpful prep guide I could forward to my tenants. During the project, I received daily email updates with photos and a summary of the work completed. Tekline was fantastic to work with. Insurance was pushing for us to replace our roof, Tekline came out and were honest with us that our roof was still in great shape and just needed to be cleaned. They did a great job with cleaning and help resolve any issues with our insurance. Honesty like that is hard to find these days and I couldn't recommend them more. Will use them in the future!

Ultimately, I did not choose to go with Tekline even though I wanted to go with them because I felt the most comfortable with them on my project due to its complexities. Pricing was just a little higher to make me justify using them over another vendor. I highly recommend based on my experience.

They did meticulous, immaculate work. The team's cohesiveness and sincerity was impressive and inspiring to witness. Mine was a 5-day re-roofing project (a 3-layer complete tear-off for house + ADU), and after each day they put in a lot of effort to clean up completely before leaving. When unexpected work was encountered (like rotted fascia boards), it was documented with photos. During the initial bid process, they were quite adaptable in order to make the job work out. Throughout the job they took the time to answer my questions and explain things to me. A recent feather in their cap is that the City of Seattle wants to include them on their list of trusted contractors. I whole-heartedly agree!

This was a straight up good experience. With this company from the very start totally professional. They did what they said they were gonna do and on time, very impressed. And you can't beat the warranty.

The Tekline team was professional in all aspects! They explained how the project would be done, had samples of the materials to be used. The on site crew was organized well coordinated. Will highly recommend Tekline to anyone needing a new roof!

Tekline was great from the first estimate visit by Norm through the process. Ernesto and the entire crew did great work. They worked very efficiently and took extra care with our surrounding garden property and cleanup. Helpful, friendly and polite.

I had a WONDERFUL experience with Tekline and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for your new roof.

Just a few aspects of the experience that I appreciated so much.

1) DAILY STATUS EMAILS. The project lead sent me an email every evening at work stop to explain progress during the day, photos of that progress and plans for the next day (arrival time, work focus). I wasn't expecting this - it felt very "white glove" and I wish all contractors did something similar. It helped me feel like the project was under control and since the photos were usually from the rooftop, they showed angles that I'd never see myself.

2) POST-COMPLETION ATTENTION. After the project was essentially complete, I flagged two concerns. Tekline - without hesitation - heard me out and put time and attention toward the fixes. One was completely aesthetic and was fixed right away. The other turned out to be totally unrelated to the roof project at all - but Tekline still sent people twice to my house to inspect and uncover the root cause.

3) UTTERLY PROFESSIONAL / FRIENDLY. Across the entire project, I interacted with probably ten people from Tekline. From reception to sales/contracting to project management to the daily crew, every person was professional, respectful and friendly. And every time they said they'd arrive for an appointment (initial estimate, drop off shingle samples, post-completion inspections), they were right on time -- same goes for the daily start times with the roofing crew.

4) HONEST. Separate from the new roof project, Tekline noted a couple areas where my roof awnings were sagging. Certainly seemed like the kind of thing to address while putting on a new roof - but I was curious about how much of an issue/risk it truly presented, beyond aesthetic. I asked the Tekline carpenter lead that very question and was surprised when his reply was essentially: "well, they've probably been sagging like this for decades - they've probably stabilized and won't get much worse in the future." He could have told me the roof was going to fall in and I would've believed him! I ended up agreeing to do the work, despite the low urgency/risk and criticality.

I could go on, but those items truly stand out.

I have been procrastinating on replacing my roof for the past 10 years mainly because of fearing the process and also finding someone I trust. Thankfully a good friend of mine recommended Tekline Roofing to me so I gave them a shot. I was really impressed of how easy the process turned out to be. It was as easy as scheduling an appointment for a free estimate, went over the proposed replacement details and a few weeks later, I now have a brand-new roof with warranty. They were able to knock it out in just 2 days. Before I reached out to Tekline Roofing, I did get another estimate from another company that was not licensed, bonded and did not come with warranty for a little less but decided to go with Tekline because they are licensed, bonded & they stand behind their work with warranty. They focus on good quality details as well as making sure the customer is happy and satisfied. I highly recommend Tekline Roofing.

The quote process was fantastic - knowledgeable, quick, low pressure. I got multiple quotes from different companies and while Tekline cost a bit more than the others, they also promised to turn out with a big crew and get it done fast, which they did. My whole roof was done in 2 days and my disruption during those two days was about as little as it could be. Two thumbs up, would recommend.

Superior customer service. I believe they went beyond what was expected when they did a follow up at my house. It’s not often when I feel an organization truly puts the customer first.

We were unfortunate to have a tree fall on our house in December from the "bomb-cyclone" storm. Fortunately we got a quote from Tekline and several other roofing companies and we chose Tekline to replace our roof. Norm was great to work with and he worked with our insurance company to get them and us the info we needed for our insurance claim reimbursement. Our next door neighbors were so impressed with our roof they asked me for the name of the company and their relative had Tekline replace their roof too. We are very pleased with our roof. It looks better than before and has better ventilation too.

While no one enjoys having their roof replaced, Tekline made the process as painless as possible. They were extremely communicative throughout the project, receptive to our needs and concerns, considerate in their work and treatment of the property, and most importantly thorough. I was particularly impressed by the end-of-day clean up; I am used to roofers leaving scraps during, and even after they're done with the work but Tekline cleaned up the property every single day. What's more, in the weeks after I found only a few small scraps of tile. Very impressive! I would recommend them to anyone in need of roof repair or replacement.

I needed a new roof on my house as it was 26 years old and starting to leak. I contacted four roofing companies, all with good reviews online and with good BBB ratings. Tekline's estimate was in the middle of the four estimates I received.

I think they did an excellent job. I needed new fascia boards and they worked with me so I could paint them in advance of the job, thus saving some money, There was some additional damage discovered when they took off the original roof, that required extra decking, but all that had been laid out in advance in the contract, so there were no surprises.,

They did a good cleanup job around the property. I was happy with the work and would recommend them to others.

I’ve had two great experiences working with Tekline since 2022. Not only did they get a new roof on for me two years ago, Tekline trimmed and sealed up some composite material that had been inappropriately used as fascia board in a remodel 25 years ago. Tekline was the only roofing company that was willing to take care of that problem for me.

More recently, we had a leak in heavy rains around a bathroom fan roof vent in another house in my family – that roof was barely three years old and the installer told us that their workmanship warranty was only two years (that’s not what they advertise on their website) and they could give me an estimate in two weeks. I called Tekline, and they sent somebody out to look at it the next day and fixed it the day after at very reasonable cost.

Really appreciate the communication and honesty from Jose. Cannot speak volumes of the work he did for us, and the cost to have our roof cleaned and have Moss Off put on there was 75% cheaper than the people I have asked for quotes.

I recently had my home roof replaced and 8’ x 10’ shed roof completely rebuilt by Tekline Roofing. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Every step ran like clockwork from the thorough initial inspection and estimate, the quality of the job, continual communication from the expert foreman, the administrative office staff, and the follow-up and thanks from the owner. Tekline was a great choice for our roofing project. They were easy to communicate with, prompt and efficient. The work was estimated to be 3 days and they nailed it, even with some older issues that the inspector noticed.
We opted for a ridge vent system, and they were the only company to suggest adding soffit venting to optimize the air flow.

Amazing Quality Work! We got 4 bids from respected roofers and took Tekline - not because it was the lowest bid - but because they were more thorough in addressing the roofing issues. We knew there were complexities with our old roof. We were not disappointed with the choice. This is the most professional outfit we’ve worked with in 30 years of home ownership. On the day scheduled the crew was there at 8am setting up, materials, tools, safety gear port a pottie - within an hour they were on the roof. It was the hardest working crew EVER going hard all they way til 6pm. They encountered the anticipated problems and moved through they with professional and long term solutions. Amazing craftsmanship. Three days later we had a beautiful roof and got our first rain. It is now a remarkable integrated system. We were also thrilled despite the tear down, wood and flashing replacement they left the grounds around our house impeccable - literally better than it was before they started. What a team from estimate to payment. So happy with Tekline.

I got quotes from 3 different companies for my roof replacement project. What stood out about Tekline's quote was the attention to longevity, by using more durable materials for hip and ridge than the default that many roofers may use, and the resulting comprehensive 25-year warranty by CertainTeed. They also re-routed downspouts that were draining onto shingles, which had been an area of premature shingle wear. Cost was ~20% higher than (an aggressive) lowest bid but on par with the third bid.

During the project they reported a few pieces of rotten trim and plywood and replaced these after discussing with me (kudos on the clear and responsive communication).

I would not hesitate to work with Tekline again.

Tekline has longevity of experience as well as it’s employees. We made our choice based on that and on the thorough inspection followed by the expert and detailed explanation of recommendations for our roof and gutters. The process of installation including all individual components was clearly described. The entire crew is salaried and used to working together as a team. This ensures that the complex installation of a roof is done properly.

Tekline wasn't the cheapest bid I got, but it was the most thorough and covered every questions I could think of, and several I couldn't. The experience was just as good as the bid. Quick, clean, solicitous of not injuring any of my plants. It's unlikely I'll need another roof in my lifetime, but if I do, Tekline is where I'll go. Bonus points: their workers are all employees, not subcontractors, and they are all salaried with healthcare. That matters to me.

The experience with Tekline has been great. The crew showed up ready to work on time. The cleanup at the end of each day was excellent as was the final cleanup which looked better than when the project started. Project manager Tha keep us informed of any issues that were encountered documenting with photos. We also had Jose pressure wash our house doing an excellent job and being very careful around our plants. Tekline employees were professional, courteous and hard working. Sorry this has taken so long, but I now have had my Tekline roof for four years (Fall of 2000). This has given me some time to observe how it has weathered. The first year there was quite a bit of sand loss relative to the last 3 years. I cannot give any data on this except that it is an observation from cleaning the gutters while putting up Christmas lights every December.
There are two (2) items which stand out that I really like. One is the lack of vents on the roof which makes it look so much cleaner. The second one is more important. The vent closures/flaps/doors which keep cold air out and prevent moisture build-up. Before the Tekline roof, warm air from heating the house would melt the ice in the vents and would drip water down through the ceiling fans. That doesn't happen anymore.

Initial contact was very prompt; very thorough estimate and informational materials. A large group of workers worked hard to complete the project in just a few days. They were polite, responsive, and did a great job of protecting trees and bushes and cleaning up at the end of each day. as well as at the end of the project. Staff were very easy to communicate with. When extra supplies were needed for an unforeseen issue, they provided a good estimate right away and awaited our response before proceeding. After the job was completed, we discovered a small problem. When we brought it to their attention, they were back immediately to fix it. The final bill matched the estimate exactly. The roof looks great and has survived several deluges, so we expect to be happy with it for years to come. We highly recommend Tekline for your residential roofing projects.

Tekline installed a metal roof on our home and a flat poly roof on our 2-car garage. Their salesperson was knowledgeable and friendly, the crew were super professional and meticulous about keeping the yard free from debris, and the team deftly handled a couple of problems that arose based on manufacturer mishap and a construction glitch from a renovation we'd done years before. I loved my experience with Tekline, as a 9 year homeowner to an 82 year old house, it was my first roof purchase and I had no idea what the process was- or what the crew would find under the old roof! Eric came out a couple times, even putting color samples on my roof for me to compare. It was a no pressure sales, just information, and he was so nice, entertained my mom when I was running late. The crew was quick, the new roof is beautiful, I am happy this was my first experience, I definitely recommend Tekline.

Just wrapped up a major maintenance project on our house. We replaced about 2,000 sq feet of 70 year old concrete tile with new composite.

We got bids from nine companies and vetted them through social media reviews as well as the BBB. We didn’t go with the cheapest company, but rather went with a company that was on the higher end of the middle of the pack. We felt the extra money was worth the peace of mind we’d get from quality workmanship. We chose Tekline and we couldn’t be happier with the final product as well as the working relationship with the crew.

We’ve done 6 major remodeling/renovation projects on the house and have always found that good communications is one of the keys for a successful project. You could not find better communicators than these folks. Tha, the field supervisor, kept us posted on all of the work from start to finish. He also provided us plenty of photos of the work in progress, any issues they discovered, as well as the final product.

After the work was wrapped up, the crew worked until dark to make sure the grounds were clean and all debris removed. There were a few tire marks on our new driveway and they’re going to send a separate crew to take care of those.

This is a company we would recommend without hesitation to friends and family. If you go with them, I think you’ll be happy too.

In approximately 2014 or 2015, while working in a Bellevue, WA real estate office, I was tasked with finding a roofer for a high-end waterfront home with a flat roof. After extensive research, I relayed the information I found regarding Tekline, and the owner of the home elected to use Tekline to replace their roof.

In 2016, I purchased a home of my own with a flat roof. Though the home was older, it initially appeared that the old roof still had some life left in it. However, I noticed a leak in an unobtrusive corner shortly after I closed on the house. Remembering the research I had previously done on Tekline, I hired Tekline to replace the roof that summer, and have been happy with the membrane roof since.

Seven years later, in the summer of 2023, I had an extensive exterior renovation done on the house, including new windows and siding. The fascia for the roof had to be removed in order to install the new siding up behind it. When the fascia was removed, my contractor discovered that a portion of the edge of the roof had been installed incorrectly. We brought this to the attention of Tekline, and the company sent a representative out the next day. They agreed that the installation in that part of the roof edge was incorrect, and made arrangements to have the repair done at the earliest opportunity. I was so very impressed that Tekline hesitated not even a moment in honoring their warranty, and took rapid steps to correct the problem at no cost to me. At a time when so much in the world feels disposable, it was a distinct pleasure to find that I had chosen to work with a company that takes the long view. I could not be more impressed.

From start to finish they were timely, honest, respectful, and diligent. Their crew worked hard and were very courteous, they took time to explain everything, and they did an outstanding job cleaning up at the end of each day. We would absolutely recommend using Tekline!

Terrible customer service. I have talked to multiple roof companies, and this had the most unprofessional customer service.
After my original review (above) I received a call from the owner deeply apologizing and taking the time to understand my discomfort from what had happened. He was incredibly sympathetic and understanding. It was obvious to me that he cares about his company, employees and the quality, not something you see every day, so I decided to go from a 1-star review to a 5-star review.

When the rain is pouring down and I am snug and dry inside I send kind thoughts to the Tekline crew who with professionalism and cheerfulness built a new roof over my old Tudor home. Special thanks to Norm Hoaglan for guiding me through the process with kindness.

I called Tekline to get an estimate for replacement of my 24-year-old architectural asphalt shingle roof. Norm came out the next day, examined my roof carefully, and told me that I should wait another 3-5 years before replacing my roof. Another roofing company encouraged me to replace the roof due to loss of granules from the shingles and some minor cracking. Norm demonstrated to me that these minor defects aren't problematic. Instead of selling me a new roof I don't need yet he encouraged me to hold off. I'll be sure to have Norm re-evaluate my roof for replacement in the future.

I highly recommend Tekline. We have an old house and a lot of experience with different contractors/ handymen/ home repair businesses, and this was certainly one of the best. They came quickly and gave a very detailed estimate. During the project, we received frequent updates, including photos of the progress, which was first for me. My tenants noted that everyone working on the project was super polite and courteous, the best they have interacted with. They also did a great job cleaning up. Could not recommend more!

Tekline did an amazing job, great workmanship as well as clear and regular communication throughout the job. When roofs cost as much as they do now, clear communication and feeling like there are a lot of eyes on the work is really important.

The folks at TekLine lived up to their reputation, from when the owner showed up at my door to explain the process to when he appeared again to review our experience. We have a complex roof and the results are extraordinary. Moreover, the installation team was professional; no rogue pieces of metal or other debris in our yard, sensitivity to parking, and respectful of not starting too early (or going too late). Kudos to the TekLine team for giving us a professional experience and the prettiest roof on the block. BRAVO.

Chris O'Leary first came to our home and listened to our concerns (sun roof protection) and we decided Tekline was the definite contractor to do our new roof. The crew (led by Ernesto) showed up on time and performed the removal and install professionally. We did have an inferior product delivered and Ernesto realized the defects and the next day they delivered a replacement Certainteed product. The roof looks great and we would certainly recommend Tekline to anyone needing a new roof.

They were fast to schedule our initial inspection, were very thorough and informative in explaining their work and the repairs needed for our roof, and quoted an informed and fair price that was in line (or slightly lower) with other estimates we received. They got started right away and had our new roof, new gutters, and various other repairs done in a few days. Clean up was fast and thorough and customer service was top notch throughout. I hope to not need their services again any time soon but they will definitely be the first called if we do!

Stellar experience from estimate to completion! The Tekline team was a pleasure to work with! Our estimator Chris was professional, extremely knowledgeable and did a great job explaining what we should expect during the project. The team arrived on time and were meticulous protecting the property and landscaping from damage. Communication from the team leads and Robert and Tha the production supervisors was excellent, and when the team found additional underlying damage to the structure of our home, they did a great job communicating my choices for additional repair. The team came up with solutions to solve some underlying problems, instead of just installing the roof and moving on. They had an expert carpenter on the team as well, so we were able to correct some structural issues while they were exposed which saved me a lot of time and hassle vs. hiring a separate contractor to do those jobs. I really felt like the team was focused on doing the job correctly instead of quickly. I can't say enough good things about this company. Their bid was reasonably priced and the value of the work far exceeded my expectations. Our new roof looks absolutely beautiful and the rest of the property looks like they were never here!

I got 3 quotes from different companies one being Tekline. They came in with the best price/value and didn’t try and pitch me or up-sell me on any products. They started a few days after the bid, we’re done with the roof a few days later and 4 days after that the gutters were installed and the job was complete. Chris, the gentleman who did my bid, was on top of communication and dealt with anything and everything that came up along the way while being straightforward and honest. I would absolutely without hesitation recommend these folks to people I know to get the job done right.

We used Tekline to replace the roof at two separate properties in the last 30 days. They were professional, timely, and responsive. Chris (estimating) came back three times during the quoting process to answer questions, explain their bid, and ensure that Tekline had included all necessary facets. The installation team worked quickly, cleaned up each day, and was very respectful. I would recommend Tekline

Scheduling an estimate went smoothly. Estimator that showed up did the least amount of work possible. They did not want to look at the access that was created of the damaged section. Was told he would have his supervisor come back out in 2 days and would contact us ASAP to confirm.

Waited two days and no contact. Reached out to the estimator and he responded with a new date. After the date in question no one contacted me or showed up. Reached back out to Tekline and was told the original estimator would reach back out. At this point I do not want talk to the original estimator who fails to communicate.

Reached out to two other companies and their estimators provided an estimate same day. They asked questions and took their time to provide a quote. If Tekline did not wish to price a quote they should have said so and not waste my time.

Contacted 3 roofing companies and Tekline was the only one to respond (already had a bid from a fourth company). Inspection & bidding process was quick and statement of work changes processed promptly. Of the two bids Tekline's was not the lowest. When choosing a contractor I look for one that, instead of agreeing to every wacky idea I have, will instead educate me on what better alternatives might exist. The other contractor didn't do that.
Work started when Tekline said it would, progressed quickly in spite of poor weather conditions, and finished as scheduled. Daily progress reports by phone and/or email were much appreciated!

Tekline was very efficient getting us a quote and we felt well cared for financially and on our actual roof repair. They also were very considerate looking for ways to save us some money on our project and I appreciate they did not try to ‘upsell’ us on anything like some other places did. I have contracted Tekline for two projects over ~3 years now and can confidently recommend their services. They are responsive and respectful. I am probably one of the more "involved" clients they have and each time they were patient and willing to walk through my concerns in addition to answering my questions. When installing the new roof on the house I mentioned a few items (cosmetic, nothing functional) that I had noticed over the 2.5 years since they did the roof on the detached garage and they addressed them at no cost, no questioned asked. As a bonus, I really appreciate the hard points they leave installed on the roof ridges. If I need to go up and do anything like clean gutters or hang lights, I like being able to harness up and self-belay while doing the work for some added security.

They were responsive, attentive and professional from the moment we contacted them about our roof to the time they finished installation. We would use them again but I believe the roof will outlast us.

After spending hours talking metal roof installation and reviewing quotes from multiple companies, we chose Tekline. While they've been known to be more expensive, we did not find that to be true -- their quote was more than competitive with the others. What sold us however, was the level of expertise and honesty. The more we talked with other companies, it was clear that Tekline (and one other company), stood apart from all the others -- even before we signed a contract.

After signing a contract, the process was communicated clearly. The team was responsive to our questions, quick to address problems and new information (we couldn't know the condition of the plywood until the roof was removed), and thorough in addressing all of our concerns.

The crews that worked on the roof were excellent as well -- pleasant, warm, highly skilled, and hard working. We have a roof that we enjoy and will outlast us.

Very courteous. Norm listened to my problem. Inspected the inside of my house were the leak was and went and measured from the outside to find the region on the roof where water was ingressing. He took pictures and came down and talked with me about the cause and remediation. The team they sent out to work on replacing the roof was friendly and took pictures of the work and shared with me the progress. I found everyone to be super friendly and honest. I appreciate this type of customer service and workmanship.

This company replaced my roof earlier this month on my Tudor home on Queen Anne. They did a wonderful job.

Other companies took about a week of e mailing to set up the initial visit. I could never reach them by phone. Tekline called me about 10 minutes after I sent the inquiry via their website. The inspector Norm met me a week later to provide the bid and he spent a lot of time explaining the whole re-roofing process to me. Once the project was scheduled, I received daily calls from the company to update me and ask if I had any concerns. The crew that did the job was amazing. I do not think I have seen a people work so hard and so efficiently. Once the job was finished, the owner came out to the property check on the job and thank me for the business. Now, that is a nice touch that you rarely see with contractors in Seattle.
