When it comes to full home renovations, you need a team you can trust. Northwest Builders & Renovation is that team. They handled our massive project with ease. Their workers were on time, hardworking, and always respectful. Couldn’t ask for more!

Isaac, our project manager was kind, respectful, and easy to work with throughout the process. He maintained a professional demeanor and was responsive when questions came up. Overall, we’re happy with the outcome of the project.

That said, communication could have been a bit clearer, especially around timelines for ordering materials. There were a few moments where more proactive guidance would have helped us stay ahead of schedule. Also, his workers could have done better quality of work with certain things.

Still, we appreciate NW Builders and would work with them again in the future.

I was really impressed with how fast his crew got the roof done, now I can have peace of mind knowing that should anything happen I have a 50 year warranty to cover me. The fence went up quickly too and highly improves the curb appeal and functionality of my yard. I had an existing vinyl fence on one side of my yard and they were able to match it on the other side no problem.

I have an GAF Golden Pledge roof. The required repairs involved movement of the warranted GAF shingles. Only GAF master elite roofers can touch my roofs shingles. I went through the GAF website to solicit bids from three GAF master elite roofing companies. Ofek of Norhwest builders and renovation called me soon after my request went out over the web.

We met that day and discussed my project and concerns.
Within one week his roofing team headed up by George with JWS roofing came out and investigated my roof and replaced and painted all the new boards involved in the restoration of my back porch deck roof and the main houses facia board.

Additionally the back deck slightly flat roof had a water tight membrane put on after the old leaking tar tapered roof was torn off.

Also the facia board on the house roof was replaced and painted with fresh paint.
George happily painted all the areas that I saw unpainted that he could not see from his vantage point.

All the work was accomplished by Ofek and George's team in a timely, attentive to details, professional, and very caring manner.

The transition from the main house roof to the new flat porch roof is wonderful. Looks so nice! I love the fact the roofing contractor agreed to paint all the new wood and restore and paint the remaining good wood involved in the project.

Ofeks bid was almost half of one of his competitors bid on the same project .

This is the first roofing contractor I have worked with that was willing to paint all the new wood involved in my roofing project. That was fantastic...as all the other roofing contractors I have dealt with in the past told me they do not paint....and it was my problem to have the new wood in the roofing project to be painted by an painter.

I couldn’t be happier with the service and results of my recent deck repair. There was some dry rot damage to my deck because of a hot tub leak. This resulted in needing to replace several boards, rebuild stairs and paint.

First, the response to my request for an estimate was swift. Romi was especially impressive with how friendly and responsive she was. She had her team come do the inspection in a very short time. After agreeing on what needed to be done and a price it was only a short time before they were at the house ready to begin the project.

The repair and painting was DONE in two days from start to finish!! I couldn’t believe how quickly we had a beautifully done deck repair. The team was so efficient, professional, and skilled. The results are perfect.

I am registered on do not call (dot) gov. They still called me with a fake name and an address that has never been associated with that name. Their claim is that they use public records, but they actually use call lists from over seas scammers. I know this because I scam bait all day, and the name and number they called were connect to identities I have only ever given out to over seas scammers. Terrible business practices.

The quality of the work for both parts of this project was fantastic, and we’re happy with the end results.

The team was professional, friendly, and respectful, which really is important when they’re in your home for a few weeks.

If we have any small quibble with anything, it was sometimes unclear with whom we should be communicating with questions or for updates. Nathan, Amir, and Esther were great, but we sometimes just weren’t sure about the correct route to go with communications.

With my deck repair, Isaac and his team went above and beyond. They were meticulous, communicative, and put in a lot of effort to create a lovely, safe outdoor area. It makes me really happy.

Had siding installed, looks great, competitive price, was honest when I got an alternate quote for gutters that was hard for them to be at as an add-on.

Only downsides were sometimes it was tough to communicate with the painter they subbed out to since my Spanish is poor. I also need to validate the final touch-up still.

Also make sure you get any add-ons as part of the quote. I was hoping they'd repair some minor damage to the garage door as part of the project but while we're doing the final touch ups it seems that might get subbed out and may not have been included. Similarly was a bit bummed that there wasn't communication about restoring a small section of fence back that had to be removed but it was pretty rotted. They did restore a different section of fence that wasn't falling apart as much.

The construction guys seemed top notch and supposedly are part of Hardie's warranty program

Northwest Builders & Renovation was the only company I contacted for roofing quotations that provided me with frank comments and a fair pricing. The roof looks fantastic and was completed in less than two days.

My experience with install of a Trex front porch by NW Builders & Renovation - Renton Location: The customer service of each employee i spoke with (Front desk, Sales and Install technicians) was great. The team had a good idea of what we needed for our project and helped us come to a decision on material quickly. We did initially have Trex product that was delivered scratched up, we communicated we didn't want to have this used and they picked it up and brought replacement pieces of Trex. The product was installed and i pointed out different items that i believe should be replaced or addressed and sent pictures. A few items were addressed and i thanked them for this and a few items were left as-is (gaps/uneven material) and i was told that the material will flex/move during different changes in the weather. The items (gaps in material shown in images) left as-is have not changed or corrected during changes in weather (its been over a year since install).

The price was reasonable for materials and service quoted to be used along with warranty factored in. However, the final product of install (cracked PT wood, uneven Trex pieces and gaps *see images*) along with a failed occupancy (communicated this to company, with no fix or solution provided) which delayed us from moving into our new house due to not meeting railing standards has caused us to be disappointed in our overall experience.

If a solution to the problems were to be provided i would have no problem changing my review and suggesting others use them in the future.

*5/19/25 - It's been a little over 8 months since i left this review, no one has been in contact beyond the response to the review. At this time since the issues still exist and no one has reached out to offer improvements, or corrections I've updated my rating for this company.
