TEK inspections did an excellent job with my home inspection. It was easy to book with them, and they were very responsive. My deadline was pretty tight, and they were able to fit me in within a couple of days of my inquiry. The report is super detailed, and the inspector even took the time to explain some of the more technical stuff over the phone. Really appreciative and impressed by TEK!

Top notch home inspector. Was able to an appointment in less than 1 week. The inspector was thorough, and easy to work with. He walked through the entire inspection in person to make sure we understood everything.

Ty was great at explaining what he found. I also appreciated that they used a drone to closely inspect the roof.

We had TEK Inspections provide a house inspection as we were closing on a house. Our inspector was incredibly detailed and spent the time with us to breakdown what he found. Compared to a previous inspection on the house that had taken place only a few months earlier, TEK's review felt more thorough.

Ty did a thorough inspection of our potential new home. I came by during the inspection and he patiently answered my questions.

They have been extremely helpful and made everything easy for me being deployed. The inspector Brett found things I wouldn't even of known about. Like a small crack barley visible in on of the trusses and gave me some guidance to get it fixed.

I recently had TEK provide a commercial inspection at an RV campground with multiple electrical panels and buildings. I found them knowledgeable, thorough, and extremely generous with their time and efforts. Their verbal and written explanations of the various issues were clear and helpful, and they acted with extraordinary professionalism and kindness in their customer care.

Inspected a house in Carson. Couldn't figure out how to turn on a burner on the stove and so said it needed repair. Left a gaping 6" hole in the siding when a more discrete demonstration of the failure would have sufficed. Would not recommend if you have a choice.

Brett Neumark was the inspector sent by Tek inspections. I was not satisfied with his efforts inspecting the home.

He first warned he would not be able to spend much time in the attic because of temperatures (understandable). He later said he felt it was unsafe to walk in the attic because of insulation and refused to go in the attic. The HVAC inspector was there at the same time and he was able to walk and inspect the attic without any issues. I feel he chose to not inspect the attic because of temperatures and made the insulation excuse to justify it. I understand it is uncomfortable and would need to be inspected cautiously due to insulation, but that is what he was paid to do.

He also said he could not see under the wood deck in the backyard which I could clearly see and inspect. He said a water heater was functioning when it clearly was not. He said he was unable to access a certain part of the crawl space to check for water damage. The pest inspector later accessed said part of crawlspace with no issues and located a leak. Again, I think he was avoiding being uncomfortable and not willing to do a thorough inspection. These are a couple examples of things he overlooked and carelessly inspected.

Brett spent a majority of his time working on his laptop and filling generic inspection information into the report. He did not inspect the house thoroughly and was unwilling to get his “hands dirty” to do a thorough inspection.

I do not recommend this company

Cole McCarthy is an excellent home inspector. Very knowledgable and thorough. He is also very quick in turning out a home inspection report so the buyer can make an informed decision.

TEK Inspections is the company to go with hands down! Used a large company once and that company fell short of the standard TEK set. TEK saved us from buying a home with too many significant problems the first time - what a relief that was!!
Then the second home they inspected for us was 1/2 Price - their policy!

TEK is very, very thorough. They catch the big things and they catch the little things too. They go through the report with you before they leave the site. They email the very organized report to you before they leave the site.

Two people come out so it does not take half a day. They really know their business very well and we knew what our decision was about both houses by the time they finished. They are very personable and took the time to explain any questions we had.

All in all I am sure you could not get a better value than what TEK has to offer and you will be well protected!

Great inspection, nice people. I didn't like getting telemarketed for a home inspection, as agreed on page 3 of the contract. If you decide to use TEK, cross that paragraph out!
