Once again Sunrise to the rescue. I asked for a roof inspection and they only recommended items that needed to be done to bring my roof back to great condition. No over sell, always professional, prompt in responding and extremely neat job site!

I have had Sunrise install shingle roofs on two houses with excellent results each time. The first was my mother’s house several years done by a ‘younger crew’ in two days in the heat of August…simply amazing. The second was on our larger house by an ‘older crew’ at the end of a much cooler October over two years ago. The workmanship both times was superior and they cleaned up all debris using tarps around the house to catch it. The people they hire are very polite and considerate of the home owner. This is extremely important because removing an old roof and installing a new one is a loud continuous process. So, encountering workers who are pleasant during this process really helps to reduce the inevitable irritation from the inevitable continuous noise making the overall experience quite nice! Recently, we had them come out and install a larger flashing for the dryer vent when I replaced the 3” pipe with a 4” one…another pleasant experience that compelled me to write this review.

Sunrise Roofing is an amazing locally owned business. Edsel came out and gave me an estimate on some minor roof tune-up repairs, some tips on what I could do myself to save some money, and then his guys made the trip over 200 miles round trip to take care of the professional repairs.

These guys did a great job on my roof. Clean, professional, timely. Good communications. Came back and cleaned up a few loose ends to make sure things were perfect.
But I just learned today that when they removed my swamp cooler they never sealed the duct work in my attic as agreed to. I even provided sealing tape. All winter last year my furnace was heating my entire attic through a wide open 18" duct.
Thankfully, I am replacing my furnace and the furnace installers found and corrected the issue. This situation could have lasted for years had I not had other contractors working up there.
The photographs Sunrise took to document the job didn't include any pictures of the swamp cooler removal. Now I know why.
These folks do roof work, but if you need anything else done, you better get it documented.

We had a leak in our roof, and then realized the entire structure was compromised, and needed an entirely new roof. After a thorough vetting of about 5 roofing companies, we decided on Sunrise and very happy that we did. The entire personnel, from owners, to administrative, to management and sales, were attentive and informative, and paid close attention to detail. The actual crew on the roof worked painstakingly, through all kinds of challenging weather conditions, and showed total quality, expertise, as well as courtesy, throughout the project. It was a difficult metal roof with lots of angles and elevations, and therefore took longer than anticipated for completion. But, it was obvious that the delay was caused by a desire to finish it meticulously. We would highly recommend SunRise Roofing, and feel comfortable they will back up their product throughout many years.

Roof maintenance, 3 awsome guys completed in a hour, fixed the shingles that were angling up, fixed my hole in the roof from another roofing company that is no longer in business, they added more seal to where it was starting to crack off..
They did a fantastic job, better than the first company who did the job, but was stingy with supplies, used wrong nails, hence why for my leaky roof thanks to them,
Now I found my favorite roofing company who worked with me and fixed my roof.. excellent customer service with the girls there when I had to call and the estimator , Larry was very honest on the job and what needed to be done... was very at ease with this company..

Super impressed with the workmanship, professionalism and follow through of the SunRise Roofing team. I had recommended them as part and parcel with my previous solar job and had heard good things from my clients. I decided to put my money where my mouth was and requested Martin come out and quote a TPO roof layover after December hail damage. SunRise Roofing's quote was the most detailed and comprehensive of the 4 estimates I requested and was very competitive pricewise.

There were some delays due to !rain! but everyone was communicative whenever I inquired. I'm pleased with the finished product. Second update to address the false information SunRise stated in their response: The existing issue was a small leak, in a bedroom. This was well documented by our insurance company, if needed. The deluge in the dining and family room was directly caused by faulty work during SunRise Roofing’s installation of the TPO roof. There has not been a leak in these areas in the 40 years my mothers has lived in the home. We are still waiting for the ceiling to be fixed.

Update: Three months later and my mother’s ceiling looks worse than ever due to Sunrise Roofing. After being paid over $26k for a new TPO roof by Sunrise…the roof leaked and flooded my mother’s house after the first rain. My mother’s antique armoire is now warped, and the two ceiling repairs they attempted look horrible. There are two rectangular sections on the ceiling where you can obviously see a patch was done. Sunrise doesn’t want to retexture the whole ceiling..and have left my mom with this shoddy work. Not to mention the mess and dust still in her vents. Such a terrible experience. New pictures added.

My mother had a brand new TPO roof put on a month ago by Sunrise. We just had our first rain, and the roof has a terrible leak. Terrible. My mom is so upset.

I called SunRise Roofing because I've heard great things about this company. We had some skylights removed in our home and needed to have those areas redone on the roof. SunRise got us scheduled in a very reasonable amount of time. They showed up on time every time and were very thorough with the work they did. I am so glad we chose this company. Hello. I am a resident of where this roofing company has done some work. Not only did they neglect this property and throw razor blades and nails off the side of the building for maintenance to clean up. But they didn’t remove the old AC units from the tops of the building. And now walking home on a very windy day I am completely taken away when one comes crashing down right in front of me. I have brought up all my safety issues and concerns with the people actually doing the work only to be brushed off and told to talk to my LANDLORD who tells me they will relay a message. No one has come to clean up the property of these nails as they are still here you think they would. My son had to get a tetanus shot from the nails they disposed of off the side of the roofs. Not professional and will neglect your property to make a quick buck.

This is a great family owned company that knows what they are doing. If you need quality roofing work, you can rely on Sunrise.

Great company! They were quick, friendly, and most importantly did a quality job. When they finished, they cleaned up the front and backyard. Didn't leave anything behind and left areas as they found them. Would highly recommend.

This team was efficient when i needed a new roof, but after a new roof and 5 years of annual roof maintenance, I now have to spend over $1000s to fix other parts of my roof that they never mentioned that was damaged and don't cover. 2nd opinions are always great to have when making big decisions. But Sunrise Roofing will always do thier best to make things right.

Larry Price was very comforting when reviewing the problem area. Then the repair crew arrived as promised and were able to address both the expected & unexpected defects which needed to be corrected. We are so glad that we found SunRise to help us with wind damage to our concrete tiles. This experience could not have been better! We had a tile roof that was 20 years old that encountered a major leak during the last November rains in Albuquerque. Sunrise was the only company that was able to come out and examine the situation within 2 business days. They made sure to discuss and show us all of the costs for repair and replacement of our roof. Their communication, responsiveness and professionalism is top notch! It was a messy job to replace a 40 square tile roof with shingles plus repair the damaged areas, but they did it in two days! It was messy and they did as good as they could to keep the mess at a minimum. They did a wonderful job on the new roof! John, Manuel, Ricardo, the staff at the business and the "crew", are all hard working and caring individuals that try their best to do the job as perfectly and smoothly as they can! They were very kind to perform a post installation walk on the roof with me explaining everything they did and why. I can highly recommend them to anyone. We believe we got a very fair price for the work and materials.

We had Sunrise replace our roof 4 months ago. The initial experience was great: Sunrise accommodated our busy schedule; were consistently friendly and on-point; and seemed to do great work on the roof.

Things went bad about a month after the roof was replaced. Part of the new roof was not properly sealed, which led to a considerable leak in our living room. Sunrise fixed the leak itself immediately, but stalled on assessing and fixing the water damage in our ceiling for over a week; we had to hire a third party water remediation service to dry out, fix and perform the necessary mold-preventative work. Sunrise did reimburse us for the cost and followed up by doing a reinspection of the entire roof. We were satisfied with this response, but our problems have not stopped.

We continue to have ongoing leaks in our canale seals. We’re in the process of getting Sunrise to come out, again, to fix these. This time around they haven’t been as responsive to our concerns, and our faith in both Sunrise to properly address issues, as well as the long-term integrity of our roof is not good.

We think Sunrise are overall friendly folks, but we paid a good chunk of money for our new roof and a considerable leak within a month, followed by a lagged response to our water damage concerns, followed by more leaking issues that continue to this day have resulted in this review.

We’re glad for all the people that had great experiences with Sunrise. Unfortunately, we were not one of them and would not recommend them.

They did a great job on my house, flat roofs can be difficult....they made it look easy. We are extremely happy with the work.

I had an excellent experience with Sunrise Roofing. We initially thought that there were two layers of old roof to tear off, but there were five. The laborers worked diligently to get down to the sub roof. There they replaced some of the old wood that had rotted out and reframed the skylights. The workers were skilled with the woodworking as well as the roofing.

The old roof was totally flat and I previously had significant problems with pooling. So Sunrise used insulation to create drainage and put in crickets. I now have the double benefit of a roof that drains and a more energy efficient home. They did a great job on cleanup and the pricing was excellent, especially for the quality work they did. They worked me into their schedule more quickly than expected. Martin, the owner, personally inspected the finished roof.

I was very pleased with the work this company did. They were professional and efficient. They even came out on a Saturday to finish the job which was completely unexpected but appreciated! All of the workers who worked on the roof kept me informed of the progress every step of the way. Office staff Marjory also came by my house the first day to see if everything was going well or if I had any further questions. Roof estimator Clint was polite, professional and easy to work with. He always answered my calls and walked me through the whole process. Very professional group of individuals. I recommend highly.

It was my first time getting a roof replaced and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Larry, the estimator who came, could tell I did not know a lot. He took the time to educate me on my options and did it without being condescending in the slightest. I really appreciated that he was honest. He informed me that they couldn't fit me in for another six weeks, but that anyone reputable would be in the same situation because of the hail storm that had damaged so many roofs. He warned me that I ought to worry if anyone who said they could fit me in right away- and he was right! One of my friends hired one of those companies and has had endless problems. Meanwhile the SunRise crew showed up at their scheduled future date. They were efficient, but also did not rush the job. My new roofs are beautiful. They did a really great job. As a woman who owns property I've had my fair share of frustrations with contractors who have not come through, been difficult to deal with, and in one case ripped me off. SunRise Roofing has been a refreshing change of pace. Professional, fair, and as promised. They delivered. I am happy to recommend them.

I hated my old roof which was tar and gravel, then I found out I needed a new roof due to some hail damage. I researched different types of roofs and decided to go with SunRise Roofing for their silicone. They were done in under three days and I LOVE MY NEW ROOF! Not only does it look great, I don't have to deal with gravel rolling off my roof every time it rains. In addition, the weather has been heating up and I've discovered that the roof reflects sunlight, so my house has remained cool throughout the day. I can't say enough about this new roof. I'm a VERY happy camper!

Extremely disappointed with this company. I called to get an estimate on replacing my roof in Cochiti Lake...I made an appointment with Clint to come out to my property for an estimate on repairs/replacement. I was then called by Clint and told it was too far to travel for repairs...which I understand. But he also couldn’t be bothered to visit my property for an actual estimate...relying solely on satelight images for the area. You would think a $10,000 job would inspire a company to at least visit the home and give an accurate estimate versus one where he didn’t get the current roof type material correct, nor could he factor in specific modifications that need to be made...I also find it ironic how the first line of the estimate reads...”as a prospective customer, you are very important to us”...I would NOT recommend this company!!

Sunrise Roofing is a great company. From the estimator, Clint Roberts, to the office staff, and the guys in the field I say thank you. You did a great job installing my new APOC roof system. Everyone was highly professional, honest, and a joy to work with. This is an edit from my original review above. Now that the weather is getting hot the new APOC roof is keeping the house much cooler than before. I expect considerable saving on my electric bill this summer.

Sunrise Roofing is awesome! They are one of the few roofing companies that know how to install real clay tile with mortar. We have used them twice now and would not use anyone else.

Nice people to deal with but I had several issues.
Substituted 7/16 osb for the original ¾ plywood and still tried to charge for 3/4 until we called them on it.
Used gobbed up silicone to seal an area of flashing.
Left 20 or so screws visible under the carport decking, later to be clipped off after we complained.
Bent over nails in the boards FACING THE STREET!
Several areas of the carport decking sheets were not attached properly, you could push them up with your hand. Later the decking was properly screwed down and the TPO was patched where the new screws went through, again after we complained.
The boards under the eaves were obviously rotten and needed to be replaced which is fine. The originals were scalloped and the workmen said that would be extra. They explained that they weren’t carpenters. So much for curb appeal.
They broke a 2x10 board then used a short section of scab on to repair. Again, so much for curb appeal. After we complained, they came back to remedy the 2x10 with a board that ran the complete length, again scabbed on.
Left 12 long wood screws in my driveway after the 2x10 remedy.

I get the feeling these people just turned a crew loose on my house without detailed instructions and no accountability. My overall impression is that they are unprofessional.
Worse part is the scope of work changed so much between the original quote and the day of the work that I don’t know what I actually paid for. There was originally supposed to be skylight replacement and drywall work but in the end, they told us that would be extra. It was all very confusing, which I think they were counting on.
I checked HomeAdvisor before we hired them and saw mostly good reviews. I can’t believe we were treated this way.

I was extremely impressed with Clint Roberts expertise and his ability to educate me as to the problems and it’s best fix to my roof issues.

Sunrise Roofing Co.is superb. Martine and his crew are seasoned roofers who do not cut corners. They know the roofing business and their owner Martine is on the job site working side by side with his crew every step of the way. When we started our custom home we wanted to get the best clay roof product and I as the general contractor was very concerned about choosing the best company. We were never disappointed with Sunrise Roofing. Martine the owner is very meticulous about his work and you can tell when the job is complete. On the first day when Larry came out to measure the roof and give us an estimate to the last day when the mastic was painted to match the red clay tile we were continually satisfied. Clint Roberts who did appraisal of our roofing job was great, he stayed in touch all the way through the process. Workers were hard working knew what they were doing and cleaned up after themselves. They always were there to answer all my questions

I called them the morning of September 6th. They sent Clint out to give me a free estimate that day (within probably 90 minutes of my call). He got onto my roof, took lots of pictures to let me know where the problem areas were, and discussed my repair options. My house is 14 years old with a tar/gravel roof and skylights. The tar needed patching and the skylights and parapets needed sealing. The estimate for my 2200 sq ft house was $1290 after tax. They ask that you pay half up front and half upon completion. They scheduled the repairs for September 27th because they were very busy with some larger projects. I felt a three week wait was reasonable, considering that most of the contractors I've hired have given a similar wait time. They also said that if they had an opening in their schedule they would try to get it done sooner. They were able to do the job 10 days early, which was great because three days after they finished, monsoon season kicked in and we started getting rain on a daily basis. They showed up in the morning, taking about 3 hours to do the whole roof, and they were gone before noon. Clint came back to do an inspection of their work, took a lot more pictures for me to see. Everything looked very nice, orderly and well sealed.

I was pleased with their timing, their estimate, the friendliness of their staff (both in person and on the phone), and their willingness to address any issues I brought up in an extremely timely manner.

Monsoon season is in full swing now and my roof is 100% intact.
That's exactly what I wanted, and I'm very pleased.

My decision to go with SunRise Roofing was as a result from a walk with my dog chico. I noticed a neighbor having roof repair on their home. I observed first hand the teamwork, interactions and communication of this company while performing on their job. My decision was made. From my first telephone contact with the company, to meeting with sales representative Clint Roberts who provided a thorough review of the variety of roofs, materials, process and steps, educated me to make an informed decision. Sunrise Roofing did an excellent job with my flat roof. They were prompt and thorough and did not leave a mess. Even though we had several surprise rain storms during g the installation period, the tram worked hard to make it right, even on weekends. Clint Roberts was awesome and responsive to questions.

Our roof needed a make over. After 4 estimates we went with SUNRISE ROOFING! We couldn't be more pleased or excited with their workmanship and professionalism. Not only with the crew that did the roof , but our sales representative, Clint Roberts and Marjorie in the office.

I wanted to give a shout-out to Sunrise Roofing, because I thought they did a good job on our roof.

We have a flat roof with a very slight pitch. It has lots of perforations due to the heating ductwork being on the roof. Our existing asphalt roof was 14 years old, but still in good shape. Our research showed that we would be a good candidate for a Silicone roof.

We had several local roofing contractors bid. All proposed a similar process. All provided no pressure and informative sales presentations. I asked each about Silicone product, as quality makes a great difference in results: two use a quality product (APOC and another proprietary product) and one used an inferior product obtained from Home Depot. Two had crew formen who had product certification training with the product manufacturer. The third did not. None of these bidders had been in business more than a few years. Bids varied from 7K to 15k.

Sunrise was the middle priced bid, which we accepted. Price was fixed.

The product applied was APOC ArmorBase, a fiberglass primer which is required when covering asphalt roofing, and APOC ArmorFlex, one of the better Silicone products with 98% Silicone solids. I monitored pretty closely to make sure that installation was per APOC manufacturer application specifications, and it was.

Martin Navarez, the company owner supervised the project. Crew were all employees, some with quite a bit of experience.

The project started with a fairly large crew stripping all gravel off the roof, and washing. Also punctures are noted and repaired with a fabric product. This took about a day, and the crew worked hard and did a good job. The crew took extra care to cleanup which is important because of the tar shards. Smaller crews returned throughout the week and completed each step of the base and silicone application. The crew took the time for the base coat and silicone coat to properly cure between applications. They did not rush the job. Rain caused a slight delay -- the roof must be completely dry when applying the product, so this made sense. Silicone is very slippery when wet. The contractor placed a granular substance on the path to the swamp coolers which I need to service periodically. Highly recommend that. Near the end, I had a few concerns. I conveyed these to Sunrise, and all were addressed with no argument. An unanticipated difficulty with the parapets was encountered, and we agreed to a solution where I paid for the additional materials, which was fine, and fair. The project was finished in about a week.

While Martin, the owner, was not onsite all the time, he did do periodic QA/QC making sure the crew was on-track. Martin has been roofing for a long time.

As soon as the white silicone was applied the interior house temperature has dropped by about eight degrees. It was a very hot spell, over 100, and I am now able to cool the house with one swamp cooler instead of two. This is a big plus.

I cannot say how this roof will hold up. I have high hopes, but we shall see. I am a little concerned about the durability of the silicone as it seems fragile. You want to minimize walking on it, and will be on the roof in bare feet.

The warranty is five years, and repair consists of placing more Silicone over any leaks. The warranty can be extended to 10 years for a reasonable yearly fee. Easy enough to maintain yourself, though I believe the APOC product is not easily obtained by consumers.

Overall I can recommend Sunrise Roofing. They did what they said they would, when they said they would do it. I have a pretty good sense of the cost of the materials and labor, so I think the price for a 2400 SF roof was fair. They are a good company to work with.
