Sunlight Contractors earned their five stars. Over the years I have bought and sold a dozen houses (one new, one 100 years old, the rest about 25 years old) and worked with about 30 different contractors. I am also an engineer and trained scientist. We inherited a humidity and insulation issue with our latest home purchase in the NOLA area, and Sunlight was the only company able to propose a thorough solution based on home-sciences (backed by publications from the LSU Ag Center). Additionally, they were complete solution such that I did not have to line up drywall contractors, finishers, and cleaning crews — they did it all! Well done Ira, Alan, and all others at Sunlight. Our house has transformed into an amazingly comfortable, dry climate indoors. We love it. Bravo!

I needed spray foam under my house and Ira went above and beyond to get the job done. My street has been blocked off for weeks but they were able to get close enough to the barricade and get under my house so they could get the job done quickly. They did an amazing job.

Sunlight Contractors spent two days removing old insulation from my large attic and treating the area with boric acid. The price was fair. Ira and his team arrived on time, worked hard, and cleaned up when they were done. One team member who is a licensed electrician showed me several wiring issues that were revealed after the insulation was removed.

This is a great contractor choice! Ira and his team are professional and will work dilligently to get the job done right. Our roof was in major disrepair and they were able to take care of all of our problems in little time. Quality materials are used. Ira is good with communication and easy to deal with. I requested an estimate for crawl space insulation and Clayton came out to do the inspection. I had already gave permission on the previous call to enter the gate but Clayton called when he arrived to inform me that he was at my property and was about to begin the inspection. That was very appreciated. After he completed the inspection, he let me know that my house was an ideal job due to no moisture in the wood. He explained to me the process of creating the quote with the pictures he took and the steps of insulation. Clayton was very courteous, knowledgeable, and respectful as we discussed his findings and next steps. I hired Ira and his team for a large foam insulation & AC project. they did a wonderful job and were responsive, transparent, and easy to work with. I will be using them for future contracting projects and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

From my initial conversation to having the work being done, everybody was so nice and helpful. I spoke with someone on a Tuesday, and they were ready to come out the very next day to take a look at everything and get measurements. Due to some weather issues, they came out on a Saturday for the measurements and were ready to get to work on that following Tuesday. I was impressed by the dedication and more impressed with the hard work that took place the day of the insulation. They talked us through the whole thing and came back some days later to make sure everything was looking and functioning as it was supposed to. We had a serious issue with moisture and heat in the attic of a newly constructed home. This was further complicated by inaccessible areas and wallpaper we wished to preserve. Multiple contractors were unable to provide us with a logical solution. Sunlight came in with a plan which was not only workable but which has completely solved all issues and resulted in a lovely environment within the home beyond our expectations in this climate. They are extremely professional, responsive, expedient and tidy. We are already planning to use them on another project. I used Sunlight before, about eight years ago, to get the inside of my exterior walls sprayed during construction. It was such a good experience that when we recently had our home elevated, I knew who I was going to call to insulate the underside of my house. I called and spoke with Ira, who is such a nice guy, and he had someone come out, another nice guy, to measure and give me a price. We set everything up, and Ira worked with me to get everything done just as I had envisioned. All the crew were really friendly, and they worked hard, picked up after themselves, and did a great job. I feel like I have a friend in Ira and will call again if I ever need anything.

I recently experienced termite damage to my home as a result of moisture being trapped under my home; this was caused by improper installation of closed cell spray foam. Needless to say, this wasn’t the news I wanted…I contacted Sunlight Contractors, who came out the next morning. Clayton assessed the issue, and he and owner Ira Bosh explained the multi-step process needed to resolve the moisture/termite damage. They were transparent about the extensive work needed to rectify the damage and eradicate any future moisture/termite issues. Sunlight Contractors were very professional. They were prompt and efficient. They sent someone out same day to assess the issue and then referred me to a Licensed Inspector. Sunlight was straight forward and to the point. It may not have been the news that I wanted to hear, but it was definitely the news I needed to hear.

While bringing down decoration from my attic I noticed my duct work had dark rings around them. I feared I had the beginning signs of a mold problem. After doing research I knew I had to call someone that specializes in mold remediation. I called Sunlight Contractors and spoke with Mr Ira. My wife and I purchased a home in 2020 and were recently devastated when finding out we had a mold/moisture issue in our sub-flooring as a result of improper spray foam installation that resulted in costly damage. After getting quotes from several other companies, I hired Sunlight Contractors to apply spray foam insulation in my attic. The price was competitive and timing for completing the job was convenient. Communication was timely.

They did a thorough job and followed building code requirements. I double checked with my trusted HVAC contractor who confirmed Sunlight’s recommendations. A technician checked for any “hot spots” after the foam was installed and found and plugged a couple small gaps.

All the workers were courteous. Clean up during and after the job was good.

I can’t remember ever doing a review before, but I felt that my experience warranted this review.
I am building a woodworking shop, and looking forward to many blissful hours of building things in my upcoming retirement. It only took a few days of summer, to realize that the metal building I had constructed needed to be insulated.
Through much research, I discovered that spray foam was the best for my shop. I discovered that there are many people living nightmares because of improperly applied spray foam. I read reviews and made calls to talk with installers directly (something I highly recommend). After speaking with Mr. Ira Bosh with Sunlight Contractors, I made my decision. Having done months of research, I knew that I could get the job done a little cheaper. But I believe when you buy cheap, you get cheap and I didn’t want to live one of those nightmares I saw online.
I contracted with Sunlight Contractors to do the job and scheduled the installation date. The installers arrived on time as scheduled and got started. The job went much quicker that I expected, having to spray 3 inches over 1845 square foot of walls/ceiling. When done, the crew cleaned the area, and reviewed the work with me. I got the sense that they were proud of their work and wanted my honest opinion. To me, this is sign of a company that cares about the job they do.

I live in a mobile home trailer, I am 4' plus high off the ground. In 2016 my insulation took on flood water and was replaced. I had wood skirting that was looking terrible and want to go with a different look than I had, so the skirting was taking down and to my suprise the insulation was coming down. I wanted a permanent replacement. I had over heard a customer speaking of closed cell foam insulation and I made note of who did his job. I reached out to Sunlight Contractors and spoke with Ira Bosh. His knowledge and professionalism is very impressive. He made me feel confident in my decision to go this route and to use Sunlight Contractors. This was the perfect fit for me. Communication from Mr. Ira with updates every step of the way. His tech, George was also knowledgeable and very helpful. The price was competitive. I was pleased. Respect to property and in my case respect to free range nosey chickens. I would definitely recommend this company and crew. Above and beyond my expectations!

Sunlight Contractors were not only competent and professional but expedient and efficient. They were able to insulate my subfloor earlier than expected with no frustration on my end. One of the best experiences I’ve had with a contracting company of any type, I will be using them again for any other insulation jobs.

We have had issues with the upstairs of our home keeping cool. During the summer months the temperature would reach 85 degrees and the humidity was over 70% throughout the home (we live in a 6000sqft home).
Other contractors and HVAC ppl have come out and either said spray foam would not do anything or tell us all we needed were new AC units.
I called Sunlight and while inspecting the attics they immediately were able to tell me what was wrong with no hesitation.
We ended up doing spray foam throughout as well as whole home dehumidification system.
So far the spray foam is done and they in the process of hooking up the dehumidifiers. We can already tell a huge difference!

I hired Sunlight Contractors to spray foam the roof deck in my attic. The crew arrived on time and worked fast to remove the existing fiberglass batt insulation from the attic. After 50-plus years of building houses, wooden boats, and Hollywood sets, among other pursuits, this is the last house I'll ever build. It's our retirement home, my wife and I, and I am so happy I found Sunlight Contractors.

Now I didn't exactly stumble across Sunlight, I did my research. And if you're considering spray foam, I suggest you do your research of the pros and cons of both closed and open cell spray foam for your particular application. Secondly, research all of the spray foam contractors that you are considering. If you think spray foam insulation is right for you, make sure that the company and the installers are certified by the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) Professional Certification Program (PCP). This certification, as well as a Louisiana Contractor's license, and insurance, are an absolute must-have for anyone doing spray foam insulation. Sunlight's founder and owner Corey Yates has the certification, as well as certifications from the Building Performance Institute, and the North American Board of certified energy professionals.

When I called Ira at Sunlight, he did not know I had done my homework and knew what was right for my application. I wanted to see if he would steer me towards a particular product or service. He did not. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, and asked all the right questions. He agreed that closed cell foam was the right product for the vaulted ceiling and under the floor of my raised house. The walls, which I wanted to be vapor permeable, could be a candidate for open cell spray foam, but Ira told me a cheaper option might be a Batt product or blown-in cellulose. I really appreciated this, since it's exactly what I had in mind. I could do the work myself and save some money. I hired Sunlight on the spot.

When the three-man crew came out to do the job, I was pleasantly surprised to find Corey Yates himself as the crew leader, personally handling the absolutely crucial heating and mixing of the two chemicals. The gentleman doing the actual spraying had 30 years experience doing just that. They quickly set up their equipment and then, even though I had already covered the doors, windows and floors to protect from over-spray and drips (and to save a few bucks), installed curtain walls to further contain the mess.

Just four hours later, they were done. They cleaned up their mess, (they left my mess-can't blame them), I inspected the job and they were gone. All in all, one of the best experiences I've had with a sub-contractor in a long time. Hours later, after my third or fourth inspection of the job, I found a six- inch square bare patch under the house in a dark and obscured hard to reach corner. No big deal. A seven dollar can of foam from the big box store will take care of that. I couldn't be happier with Sunlight. They did a great job at a fair and reasonable price. Now I'm considering them for some of the other services they offer.

The office and service technicians were all very responsive and scheduled our insulation to be blown in soon after inspecting the property. Excellent customer service.

About two years ago , Ira (the owner of Sunshine Contractors) installed on hard installation under our house. Recently, we did up renovations that required reinstallation of small sections of the insulation. But then I called Ira and somehow he had his men out the next day. Next day service by a contractor is rare. This is no to say that he can do this on every up job, but rather that he will do so if at all possible. This is A PLUS for both service
and an excellent product.

After doing tons of research and asking around in the construction industry, Ira and Sunlight Contractors came highly recommended. Ira's knowledge on all aspects of insulation was very impressive. We decided to go with closed cell spray foam in the exterior walls and roofline because of it's sound proofing and structural strength, in addition to the R-value. Ira and Sunlight Contractors worked closely with my mechanical contractor to make sure that the HVAC system would work best with the insulation they had installed. Sunlight completed the project on-time and with exceptional quality. We highly recommend Ira and Sunlight Contractors and will be using them on all future projects.

The job that Sunlight did was just terrific! Turned out that a LOT of the plywood sheathing (24 sheets) had rotted out over the last 40 years and needed to be replaced. As the crew of 12 (twelve!) continued their work they found a number of other problems such as the need to replace the chimney wall flashing, the 2 "whirly birds" (must be the TECH name for roof vents, lol) needed to be changed out, and what insulation that had been there was in dire need of replacement.
The one thing that impressed me the most is that Ira kept me up to date as the job progressed with both a detailed physical description and with photos. The work was being done on a Saturday and not a lot of employees like to work thru the weekend but thankfully the crew remained till the job was done. That says a lot about the commitment that Sunlight makes to their customers. They adhere to the expression that "the customer is always right" when keeping them informed of the needs and progress in completing the job.
I've attached a few photos to show the work that was done, in particular the "before" and "after" work on the chimney.

I contacted Sunlight Contractors on April 10, 2024, to inquire about spray foam insulation for my 70-year-old home. Mr. Ira thoroughly explained the process. The next day, a representative arrived at my home to gather information for the quote, and I received the typed quote via email from Mr. Ira on the 12th. On April 27th, Sunlight employees removed the original insulation and old sprayed in cellulose insulation that had deteriorated into dust and dirt. The employees were efficient and cleaned up thoroughly upon completion, leaving my house in the same condition as when they arrived. Another crew arrived on the 25th to spray the one-cellar insulation. Once again, the crew was exceptional, leaving no trace of their presence after completion. To ensure all areas were properly sprayed with no leaks, two supervisors conducted a tightness test on the 26th and found everything was done to code. I am extremely satisfied with the professional work of this company and eagerly await my first Entergy bill this month, now that the work is complete. All staff members were courteous, kind, caring, and detail-oriented. If my house were elevated, I would definitely consider spraying the foam insulation beneath it as well. Sunlight Contractors truly stands out as a caring and professional company.

Sunlight Contractors saved me form purchasing a home with mold!!! I am under contract on a house with a pier and beam foundation and called Sunlight Contractors to have my crawl space inspected. I did not have a long inspection period and Sunlight Contractors worked with me to come to the house on a day where they were already booked. No other contractors were willing to rearrange their schedule to help me out. After inspecting the crawl space, Sunlight provided me with a detailed report and walked me through exactly what I would need to repair the crawl space. When I first toured the inside of the home, while shopping for a home in New Orleans, I was struck by its open floor plan, simple beauty, and calm nature--the home truly has a great vibe. Unfortunately, ambient temperatures in the home's two attics were hot. Consequently, the attics were too hot to store items within, especially wood furniture, electronics, or other valuable commodities. I also noticed a potential humidity problem. Equally important, I knew the raised home's concrete pedestal foundation would require reinforcement, in order for me to safely position two heavy wine cellars and a Precor Elliptical machine on the home's elevated wooden floors. Fortunately, the home's builder insightfully recommended that I contact Ira; I am so, so very glad that I accepted this sage recommendation and, thereafter, contacted Ira via Sunlight Contractors' Internet website.

Ira met with me within 24-hours and introduced me to his primary project foreman. Within minutes, I knew that I could trust Ira, his foreman, and their technicians. That day, Ira and I agreed to a price, we shook hands, and initiated an excellent trust-based business relationship. The fact that we also became genuine friends over the ensuing week-plus is an added benefit of working with an ethical, highly capable professional like Ira!

Bottom Line. Ira Bosh, his talented foreman, and their highly capable technicians fulfilled all of their tasks in a truly exemplary manner. While doing so, they expertly completed the following actions: installed foam insulation, plywood flooring, and dehumidifier/air-purification systems in both attics; artfully installed wall-mounted control devices on the home's first and second floors; and reinforced the first floor with a 6"x6"x12' beam and three steel-augmented concrete pillars. They also conducted several additional actions for my family and me. These actions included, but are not limited to: fixing several doors that did not shut smoothly; and installing a thermal dog door for my family's Australian Shepherd, so he can enter/exit our home without disrupting its newly established and incredibly stable, internal temperature and humidity levels.

I hired Sunlight Contractors to spray foam under my house. This was such an easy company to work with. Ira, the owner, responded quickly to any questions and even encouraged me to do my own research before signing the contract. There was no pressure or heavy handed tactics to get me to sign, which was different from some of the other companies I looked at.
About a month after the completion of the job, Ira contacted me to see if I had noticed any change in the temperature of the floor. What I have really noticed with just that insulation is that the temperature in my house is more constant. I would recommend Sunlight Contractors to anyone thinking of using spray foam.

Sunlight Contractors best Spray Foam company in the South. This is my Second New Construction Home I have built in Mississippi and this is the second New Construction home I have had Sunlight Contractors install Spray Foam. The first home was about 4 yeas ago and I found Sunlight Contractors searching for hours on the internet and reading review’s on many contractors. After talking to Ira several times, I was convinced I had found the company I had been searching for.
When it came to the second home I contacted Ira again to get an estimate which he was happy to give me. I contacted several other Spray Foam installers and got my normal 4 Quotes for a Job. Some were less expensive than Sunlight Contractors but after talking to the other companies and there process I soon knew Sunlight Contractors was the only choice out there.
I had some problems with the City Code inspector and was delayed 4 months after signing the contract before I was ready for the Installation. Ira stayed in contact with me the entire time and told me to let him know when I was ready for the installation. I contacted Ira on Friday that I was ready for install and he had the crew at my door the following Monday morning.
Sunlight Contractors crew did a fantastic Job and I would highly recommend them for your Spray Foam Installation needs. I haven’t used any of there other services but if they say they can do it I have all the confidence in the world that they can get the job done.

When it comes to home repair or remodeling... New Orleans doesn't have the greatest reputation. Contractors are often late or missing in action. Not Sunlight Contractors. Ira and his team removed an entire wall of my house, put up a new one, insulated the entire home and painted the new wall.... in 48 hours. I am STILL speechless. I've already asked Ira to send me estimates on more work. I have nothing but good things to say.

I was looking for a contractor to do some spray foam insulation on my raised New Orleans home. After doing some research on Google the reviews for Sunlight Contractors made them the overwhelming first choice. Almost suspiciously so but I reached out for a quote and Ira called me back almost immediately. He is very knowledgeable and wants you to know exactly what they're doing and what you're getting into.

After our phone call I decided to schedule an inspection and the technician was thorough and answered all of my questions. I searched the internet high and low for a great licensed, certified, and trustworthy contractor to do a complete renovation. It was hard trusting any contractor based on my past experiences with these so-called contractors. I had other contractors give me lower prices, but they were not licensed or even certified. They had no licenses or certifications backing them that proved they knew how to handle my project, or I couldn't verify the quality of their work on the internet. I did not want to have another contractor have to come in to repair a job that I already paid for a few weeks, months, or even years from now due to lack of knowledge or “know how".

Needless to say, I am so blessed that I found Sunlight Contractors. They removed my roof and found rotting rafters.
They had to build a temporary structural wall in order to hold up the wall while repairing it. They removed a large amount of sheetrock, brought in negative air pressure fans after cordoning off the entire area with plastic and zippered entry points so the mold spores will not spread throughout the entire house. After the repairs around the interior of the home Sunlight painted the interior of the home incredibly well. This type of attention to detail impressed me. There was also a large amount of structural damage in the rafters, and headers under the roof caused by termite damage & moisture. Most companies send out employees to handle the structural damage which can be great for the labor portion of the project, but many employees are not qualified to spot the more serious problems and create successful, long-lasting solutions for the customer. Sunlight sent out 2 very experienced managers and even the owner to come look over the project to make sure they caught the root of all the structural problems in my attic and roof. Sunlight repaired everything remarkably well. After the repairs Sunlight's knowledge of construction procedures is top notch, and I would not only recommend them to all my friends and family and I would never use any other company.

This is my second review of Sunlight Contractors LLC, who sprayed open cell foam on the bottom of my roof deck in August 2020. It was a nice improvement, but my family kept complaining that our old house was still chilly and drafty. I suspected they were secretly cold-blooded. But after they nagged me endlessly, I ripped off the cedar siding and found out there was no insulation in the walls. Guess who I called to fix that? Sunlight Contractors LLC, of course. I spoke with this company and was so impressed with their integrity. I inquired about using foam to soundproof between floors of an existing home. I was told the reasons why I should NOT do it and that anyone that told me they could would not be being honest with me. I had been thinking for the last 4 or 5 years about getting insulation work done in my 40+ year old raised house, but having tired of how cold this house gets in winter, I decided that this was time to actually take action. Having done some research and costing, Sunlight Contractors seemed to stand out, in my opinion, so I contacted them.
They responded very quickly and had someone to take a look, and after a very thorough look under the house, including taking moisture readings of the under floor and structure, quoted a price for removing the existing fiberglass batts and spraying closed cell foam. Having agreed the price, their crew showed up and got to work, and they work hard!
As they were spraying the foam under the floor I immediately could feel how solid and quiet walking around had become. Add to that the fact that tiled areas felt more comfortable, and I knew I had made the right decision. The crew did a great job overall, and left the very minimum of mess, which took me minutes to pick up.
I also contracted Sunlight to dense-pack cellulose in the exterior wall cavities, as I was convinced there was no insulation in them. This morning they arrived and started prep work and found that there was actually fiberglass insulation in the walls, which I was very surprised to see!
So plans changed and they began the process of doing it right - removing siding, sheathing and insulation, all of which was as old as the house, and much of which appeared to never have been much use. That fiberglass is being replaced by spray foam, then covered with new plywood sheathing and house wrap.
The crew chief mentioned to me that the windows had not been installed with flashing, which I had found out myself, but the wall they completed today now has properly installed windows, ready for siding.
All in all, so far I am very pleased and impressed with Sunlight Contractors, and in my opinion they have definitely earned my recommendation. They are easy to work with, and I am never in doubt as to what is going on; they are prompt, hard-working and keep me informed and have answered any questions I have had. Now I can look forward to far more comfortable winters, and of course their work can only help in summer.

We had a recurring and significant mold problem in our home. We were very fortunate to find in our research Sunlight Contractors, which was well-recommended in reviews. Sunlight Contractors developed a comprehensive plan to remove the mold from our home – both visible and non-visible, while also preventing it from recurring. Under the plan as developed, our roof, which had leaks was first replaced and the compromised and moldy insulation was completely removed from the attic. While working on the attic, Ira and his team were extremely thorough in removing mold throughout the house. It is too much to recap in this review, but Sunlight Contractors had state of the art equipment and products to do this job rapidly, and had an experienced and knowledgeable work force to execute the plan. They did the floor, walls, and ceilings in the home, and also removed and replaced a portion of the ceiling where mold had been hiding.

In the attic, they removed and replaced floorboards, took our the prior insulation, and replaced it with a thick layer of spray foam insulation, also ceiling the attic to prevent squirrel entry. They cleaned the coils on our HVAC units and installed dehumidification systems and Reme Halo units to keep our home dehumidified and sanitized.

Sunlight Contractors was cost conscious throughout the process and took steps to be expedient and to limit homeowner inconvenience. We look forward to enjoying our home with cleaner and better air quality and to be done with mold recurrence. We recommend Sunlight Contractors for anyone who is having similar problems.

Finally!!! After searching for months getting Quotes and knowledge for myself on Spray foam insulation. I'd decided that Sunlight Contactors was the Best overall! There communication was great, they took the time to explain the procedure of the installation in detail from the removal of the existing attic installation, treatment of the attic with Boric Acid to help prevent any insect infestation that will be done before they install the Spray foam. This and all the License, Certifications were a BIG PLUS in making my final decision. Everyone that I was in contact with was very courteous and professional. I debated on crawl space insulation for years until I spoke to Ira at Sunlight Contractors. My inspector highly recommended this company (no affiliation) and said they did amazing work and he was right! It made an immediate difference in dampening street noise and also the creaking in my flooring. The best part is that my feet don’t freeze and the house temperature is definitely better regulated than before. Ira was great and explaining everything and gave me the confidence to invest in my home. The workers were in and out in two hours and did an amazing job. They live up to their ratings. UPDATE 6 months later: the creaking in my floorboards has returned but isn’t AS BAD. My electric bill is still just as expensive as last year but you can definitely tell that the house is more insulated and hot air doesn’t creep up through the floor. You also can’t see the ground from the inside! I’m still happy with my purchase. I just wanted to give an honest down the road review. Side note: I also was told I would get a $100 gift card for writing a review but never received one.

We hired Sunlight to install open cell foam insulation for our roof and walls. From the initial call to the final installation the communication was excellent. My first call was informative in helping me decide between the various options and consideration of each. They are very knowledgeable about how many ways this step of construction can cause all sorts of problems down the road and what to look out for with any contractor you choose. Whereas many consult calls are really thinly veiled sales pitches this felt more matter-of-fact, objective information from a proper expert.
Next step we got an hard estimate, and again the estimator that arrived was sharp, fast, and informative. I got a quote within minutes and it beat the next best bid by about $250. We signed and were on the schedule within a week. The install crew communicated ahead of arrival and explained the prep, steps and additional considerations. The work was completed on time and as promised.

This is our second review on Sunlight Contractors LLC in less than a year. First, we had them spray foam insulate a barn on our property that was converted to a rec area. The exterior walls and roof rafters were insulated prior to interior finishes. We were impressed with their knowledge and professionalism throughout the process. Because of our first experience, we contacted them for an estimate on our home. The owner, Ira, called us the same day and sent their field inspector Clayton a couple of days later to measure our home and give us pricing. Once pricing was finalized and the contract was signed, work began within a week. Their installation crew were fantastic. They removed all the old insulation from the attic, protected our walls and floors with plastic, cleaned up in the house and outside where they worked. The crew took pride in their work and respected our home as if it was theirs. Fortunately for us this was right before the big freeze event. What a difference the spray foam insulation made in how the interior of our home felt. The dampness and chill that was once there is gone. Our home is comfortable, and the heater is barely running to warm the house. Can’t wait to see the first electric and gas bill savings.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We had a previous home insulated with spray foam by another company when it first came on the market. The installation and experience were day and night difference. The previous company did not remove the existing insulation, perform air testing, clean the attic, vent bathroom vents, install a fresh air intake for the gas furnace or do such a clean job of installing the spray foam. The worst part of the job would be discovered after the job was completed. Basically, they came in and spray foamed the attic within a day and were gone afterwards. Because they did not install a fresh air vent for the gas furnace, our family would experience carbon monoxide poisoning. We tried contacting the company after this was discovered only to find out they had already gone out of business. This isn’t a joke and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Our family is lucky that we caught the problem before our symptoms became deadly.

We recommend Sunlight Contractors for spray foam insulation because they educate, provide guidance and communication during the entire process, and want to make sure that nothing like this happens to your family. One word sums up this company, PROFESSIONAL!

Had extremely nasty, old and useless insulation in the attic. Ira's team came in and sucked all the old out and blew in all new insulation. Attic smells so much better.

Update June 2024:
Needed more help, this time with the crawlspace underneath the house. We removed old pink rolled insulation after hurricane Ida got it all wet. We found mold and had to remediate the mold, and this time we decided to get spray foam to better insulate the house.

We called Ira from Sunlight Contractors. Ira's team came in and sealed underneath with plastic, then scrubbed all the old mold off and killed it with various appropriate chemicals.

They came in and did some readings of moisture in the wood underneath the house. Some were as high as 25% moisture. Then they came in with this huge external heater and got the moisture down to most 5-8%. This took about 4 days. Would probably have done this in the winter going forward.

The next day they came in and did the spray foam. When I came home that day, I could feel that the wood floors were in a more solid state. It no longer felt spongy.

The air conditioner can now keep up with the Summer heat and even goes off from time to time in the hottest part of the day. Who knew?

Very happy with the result. I can really tell we got a seriously quality job done. Again.

Sunlight Contractors is literally the best Mold Remediation/Spray Foam insulation company in the New Orleans metropolitan area. I purchased my home in the Bywater neighborhood two years ago. Little did I know that I had a decades old mold problem hiding beneath my floors which was exacerbated, when I replaced the old HVAC unit with a new and more efficient one.

Mold quickly took over beneath my beautiful and very old floor as well as permeating up the walls of the outside interior. Sunlight Contractors was recommended to me by a friend so I called them for help.

Sunlight Contractors sent a mold expert to my home within 24 hours. This man was a consummate professional and clearly showed me with pictures and clear explanations the extent of the problem. Not only was mold everywhere but the floorboards had absorbed so much water they were in danger of decay. (see Pictures)

The next day the actual owner of the company visited my home and spoke with me. He told me that his professional had only seen one mold problem worse than mine. He gave me a very fair quote that covered the mold remediation and the drying of the floors. The owner of the company stayed involved with me daily and even was on site himself on Saturday and Sunday to ensure the critical floor drying was done properly(how often do you have a company that does that?)

Sunlight's team of highly trained and efficient workers began the process of killing the mold and removing the threat to both the home occupants and the workers. Immediately afterwards Sunlight set up a floor drying device and added vapor barriers so that the floor could dry enough to allow the application of spray foam insulation.

Without Sunlight Contractors intervention, I would have had a six digit repair which of course is every homeowners nightmare. Sunlight is the company you want to use when mold strikes as they know what they are doing, and do the work professionally, safely and at a reasonable price. Plus they give you a lifetime guarantee that your mold will not return.

Mold remediation is never cheap but if it is done wrong you the homeowner will suffer the consequences.
