The guys were nice up to the point when we told the sales person(Chad) that we werent paying until the work was completed. He then persisted that he was done and got very rude with us so we hung up the phone. The screen they put on our window after the hail storm dont even fit the window, width or height. So they screwed it to the window wrap, which also damaged the wrap by screwing through it.. Very careless and didnt thoroughly check the work. I highly recommend you do not hire this company. Worst experience I have ever had._

I chose Sunflower State because I wanted the same contractor to do my siding and roofing. My sales guy was great, price was good and I opted for a few upgrades. When I got the bill I discovered they had not installed the impact resistant shingles I had ordered. I though “no big deal just means they’ll have to come out here another day and redo it, which is inconvenient but whatevs”.

Well when I talked to my rep I was told that it was a warehouse mistake (the correct shingles were ordered, wrong shingles delivered) and the only way to get the right shingles would be to pay out of pocket ($5k) for the whole roof. This was not something I was interested in at all.

Now I’m stuck trying to find another contractor to do the siding and stressing about the next time I have to pay a deductible to get my roof fixed, because it’s Kansas and it hails.

I believed my rep when he said this has only happened 3 times in 15 years and believed him that they have developed new procedures to prevent it in the future. If you are willing to risk not getting what you want and them not making it right, I recommend them. But, I’ll never use them again because I can’t risk it. I don’t know many people who have unlimited funds to spend on home improvement, I definitely don’t.

They did a great job on siding, roofing and gutters on 3 buildings after a bad hail storm last year. I would recommend them to anyone!

To bad there wasn't a minus my experience was unreal clean-up was terrible I do not know how many nails I did and am still picking up wood and shingle pieces all over my yard of which I am still cleaning up I complained to the office but that got me no where they also spilled something all over my driveway which brought lots of ants to visit I cleaned that too they didn't put one thing they moved (of which I was assured they would) back where it belonged also didn't put my down spouts back on. They were throwing shingles down so hard it was knocking stuff off my walls and shelves asked them if they could tone it down their answer they are heavy I use to roof myself and I am a female never had to throw them they broke a few of my shot glasses think they cared "NO" So unless you want to do most of the clean-up and risk flats or better yet nails in your foot or thrown from your mower find someone else.

I e-mailed a bunch of roofers looking for someone to replace a 4-plex roof in Pratt. Chad called and not only set an appointment that day, but explained why the products he was going to use would have a better warranty at about the same price. He was clean , professional and on time. In a few minutes after he measured he handed me a written estimate that was several thousand dollars less than I expected. If the bank gives me the loan I will use them for sure!!

I moved to Wichita a year ago and bought a "fixer-upper." I did much of the work myself but decided to hire a professional roofer to replace the roof. If at all possible, I like to hire small or family owned businesses. I avoid chains just on principal! I contacted three roofers and got an estimate from each one. Brad came out to give me an estimate and I liked what he had to say. I awarded them the job and they did not disappoint. The job was done on time and on budget. Very pleased.

Our roof has needed repairing for years - we left it way too long, I'm afraid. Didn't want the expense. Well, we paid the price for our procrastination in more ways than one. Finally called Sunflower State Exteriors and told them we needed a new roof, fast. They were busy working on our roof the next day. If you need your roof repaired, do it now! And call these guys!
