Tommy, the proprietor, is acutely aware that his company holds a virtual monopoly on pool construction in Alamogordo. As a result, he exercises this advantage unapologetically—routinely quoting prices that are up to three times the reasonable market rate, simply because he can.
Should he perceive that you may not meet his financial expectations, do not be surprised if your quote is indefinitely delayed—or never delivered at all. Communication is selective, at best, and responsiveness appears contingent on his assessment of your perceived spending power.
As for honoring warranties or standing by his workmanship in the years to follow—disabuse yourself of that expectation. Once the project is complete, you may find yourself met with unreturned calls, evasive behavior, and outright disregard.
In truth, the quality of work is mediocre at best and egregiously overpriced. Alamogordo is in desperate need of a reputable, customer-focused pool construction provider—because, plainly put, Tommy and his enterprise are not the answer.
It's rare these days to have an experience with a business that is reliable, honest, knowledgeable, and concerned about the customer. Sundance did an excellent job installing our new pool. Throughout the whole process they kept us informed of what was going on, and when finished they spent the time to explain how to operate the filter etc.. All materials and installation seem to be very high quality ... I can't believe how easy it is to operate and maintain a filter and chlorinating system these days compared to 10+ years ago. I give these guys two big thumbs up.
We love our pool from Sundance. Tommy and his team were great to work with. They were responsible, respectful, courteous, and puntual. We were new to all things pool related, and if I ever thought there was a problem, they were very quick to address it and put us at ease. Tommy has always taken the time to answer questions we've had.
It's rare to get quality work in Alamogordo, so it was a breath of fresh air to experience using their company.
