Who would think having my roof replaced this past April could be one of the best experiences in my life. All because of Sun Coast Roofing and their employees, starting with Will Redmond who took me through understanding the contract and how the work was done too what color, and cleanup, everything that met my needs, I thank him so much for his knowledge, experience and kindness which he extended to me throughout and after the whole process. It is a pleasure to have had him touch my life. Then the “crew” was professional, very efficient and friendly. They did a wonderful job with the removal, installation and cleanup of my house and property. I can’t forget the office staff, professional, friendly and kept me informed. I gladly recommend Sun Coast to all in need of their services.

2 months after they started work on a 3 day job, we now have more leaks than before they started work here. Communication is non existent. Nobody knows who’s doing what job and they NEVER stick to their so called schedule. As it stands we now have rain pouring through the ceiling and I’ve doubt they won’t fix anything based on previous false promises. They’ve still not even started the guttering which should’ve been completed months ago. Stay well away from this company, seriously, they are the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

We were forced to replace a roof that had zero issues by the insurance company and made the absolute biggest mistake to hire Suncoast. Now we have exterior damage to siding and interior water damage in our residence as well as the adjoining neighbors residence and I have them threatening to sue me because they refuse to fix the leak the left me and it's going on a year now!!! Now it's to the point we have to file complaints with the state to hopefully get it resolved.

My roof leaked after Hurricane Milton and I worried about finding a reputible roofing company that would undertake a small job when they could find many people needing a complete roof replacement. However, I worried needlessly as I was told about Sun Coast Roofing, whom I called on a Saturday. They set me up to see their estimator, Will Redmond, who showed up on time that Monday.

I was immediately impressed with Will as he was professional, interested in helping, and inspected both my roof and the attic to accurately determine the work that was needed. Additionally, he explained everything that needed to be done, leaving me with a full understanding of the issue. My family is in home construction in the midwest, so I knew that he was knowledgeable and competent, which left me with a good feeling about Sun Coast Roofing.

I thought it would be months before the work was scheduled, but Will texted me that is would be done in December. Perhaps even more important is that he gave me a reasonable price estimate.

The workmen came on Tuesday, 12/17/24 and I am completely satisfied with the work they did. Being a contractor's daughter, my recommendations, if I give them, are honest and as the whole process was efficient and well done.

Finally, I am pleased that Sun Coast Roofing provides a one year warranty and that everyone I came in contact with was a customer service star!

I received estimates from 4 local roofers, with Sun Coast being the largest. I was expecting a sleazy sales guy and inflated prices due to their size, and especially when using a State Grant for Hurricane Prep. Nothing could be further from the truth. My Estimator, William R, was incredibly knowledgeable, polite, professional, and attentive. I received almost immediate responses to questions via email and text, something truly unexpected but extremely welcomed and appreciated (trust me, I had a ton of questions). I received product documentation from the manufacturer even before we signed the contract. Fantastic.

Sun Coast did a great job with only very minor hiccups with scheduling (not deal breakers and we had hurricanes come through which disrupted the schedule, of course). My roof looks great and was significantly cheaper than competitors, with their products and materials offering better warranties and quality. They are now my go-to roofing and solar company. Highly recommended.

The whole experience was Easy, Clean, and resulted in a perfect Nantucket Morning roof! (that's the shingle color, it's great). Highly reccomend.

I worked with Will Redmond at Suncoast out of NSB. He came and did the quote and sent it to me. At the time I hadn’t met him, but the quote was so good for a metal roof, so I pulled the trigger and went with it. They had so many financing options and the quote was so reasonable, so it was a no brainer.

They took off the existing roof and laid the peel and stick. The metal was back ordered, so I was a little nervous about it holding up in the rain. It POURED that night and my roof was FINE! no issues.

When they came to do the roof, Hurricane Helene was going through THAT NIGHT! I was stressing that it wouldn’t get done OR that they would rush and not do a thorough job. They actually did an amazing job! They worked so hard and my roof is GORGEOUS!

Soon after hurricane Helene went through, we had Hurricane Milton come through. This would be the test. NO ISSUES whatsoever! My roof is as pristine as the day they finished it!

I seldom write reviews, but in this situation one is needed. We had the good fortune of hiring Sun Coast Roofing for a roof repair. Will and their team were exceptional. They were always on time, they did a comprehensive inspection, the repair was done very professionally, they communicated with us through the process, and their follow up was excellent. My wife and I had Suncoast Roofing on SR 52 install a new roof this past week. They did that in close cooperation with Fused Solar so that our solar panels could be removed before the roof was installed.

Every facet of the operation worked extremely well. In particular, Ian Hammel and Richard from Suncoast Roofing, and Richard from Fused Solar , were outstanding in spotting some potential glitches before they happened. And Pedro and his crew were efficient and especially neat in their work.

Great experience from start to finish! Had the roof done in 3 days and did a fantastic job cleaning up. My estimator Will Redmond even walked my yard with a magnet afterwards. Very professional.

Edit and update:
I am now on a 3rd repair with this roof. I hired a 4 point inspector for home insurance coverage. Four soft spot were found. As the repair was in progress things found were: much of the plywood was not nailed to the tresses in many spots, flashing was not placed right on several spots that invited water damage, and THE TAR PAPER WAS STAPLED TO THE PLYWOOD AND PEEL AND STICK WAS PLACED on top BUT the peel WAS NEVER REMOVED. I will attach a photo. The damage and repairs are due to poor installation practices. Suncoast have blamed Me for lack of inspection after hurricanes. I did have an inspection and all the damage has been from their woork.

The least thing Suncoast could do is look at the crew who completed this installation!!!

If I could give Zero Stars that would be happening.
I purchased a home in 2020. In 2016 the previous owner, paid nearly $14, 000 for a full replacement. Granted, I was unaware that a roof warranty can be transferred within 30days of a home sale to one new home owner. This was not done, And it does not mean they should be off the hook for the poor roof they installed. The phone assistance want to talk all about these major storms and if you did a bad job of a roof replacement, You Just Did A bad Job!! In 2022, the roof started leaking around the chimney to the rear of the home and the drainage flow off the back of the house was a bit of a mess. Suncoast installed the the roof edges too high, so the water cascaded down and then an upward roll. This caused significant damage to the soffits around the house. Our first repair resulted from a cascade of water down the wall during a storm (pre hurricane Ian and Nicole) near the chimney. This repair cost nearly $4000. Then in 2024, what a leak around the front chimney. At the cost of $3200. The repair company showed us the lack of workmanship quality of Suncoast!!! And the customer service person I spoke with was soooooo incredibly unkind and borderline rude. "Well, the transfer was not done. So, no go!" Wow!!!! They put on a bad roof and I pay.

I had a question about something I noticed on the roof that they had replaced for me about 5 years ago, as well as any recommendations for washing the roof without damaging it. Danielle in the office was very friendly and helpful. Ray came out and inspected the entire roof. We chatted about his findings, without rush. He was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Thank you!

These guys were great, the estimate was easily done, the paperwork was simple and laid out. William (redford) answered every one of the 2000 questions asked and promptly- there was no waiting for a call back. The scheduling was easy as well, they actually called and got me done earlier than anticipated. The guys working busted their buttons from sun up to sun down and besides the typical roof noise were quiet. The dogs didn't care. The clean up was great and seen they were putting effort in to look for nails and such. They all really made it easy to get my roof done despite my being nervous about it. I had quite a few companies come out, and thanks to Will Redmond in sales, I chose Suncoast. He was the only person to actually pull out the ladder and examine the roof and take his time writing up a quote while still onsite. He was informative, polite, professional, honest & even met ME at work when it came time to sign. I had lots of questions about board replacement and shingle color, Will answered each question timely and effectively.
The ladies in the office were polite and timely with calls regarding scheduling and postponements from rain, I did even wind up speaking to Kevin Sims the production manager, who was pleasant, helpful and honest. The work crew was speedy, did not make a mess and what was left was cleaned up very well, and most importantly, my roof looks great!

Several family and friends highly recommended Suncoast Roofing. I took a leap of faith and called for a quote. Will was very professional, courteous, and answered all my questions. He explained thoroughly what to expect. He let me know they were six weeks out to put the roof on which was the second week of September. I explained my position and informed him I needed the roof complete by August 28th. The major part of the roof was complete by August 26th. There were a couple of minor things to be completed and and he made it happen. His team members did an excellent job. I’ve had a lot of compliments from family members to electricians and friends. BEWARE!!! Worst roofing company on the planet. We have 8 leaks in our new construction home after they installed the dry in. The sales guy Zach is also super disrespectful, does not accept any responsibility and at every turn you can expect them to try and charge you more money. They are also late and won’t even give a schedule.

As you can see the response from the owner is just status quo for being unhelpful and not taking responsibility, FYI I have never met the owner I’ve only dealt with other staff at the company, nor has the owner ever called me to try to work out the issue. When you call you can’t get ahold of anyone in charge nor does anyone call you back. It’s reasonable to assume that if you have a customer who has paid you $33,415 as deposit who is unhappy because there are 8-10 leaks all over the home that as an owner of a company you would get involved, communicate with your customer and try to resolve the issue to leave your customer satisfied. So far no attempt has been made to resolve the leaks and complete the project and only disrespectful remarks have been made by the sales rep.

The options are simple: fix the issues, complete the job or yes our attorneys will take it from here if that’s the path you choose versus doing the right thing.

Taking money from a customer and refusing to complete the work is where we are right now. Hopefully your ethics will kick in and decide to do the right thing, Contractors board DBPR enforces this type of thing.

If you would like to resolve this matter I need a phone call today from the owner and on that call we need to come to agreeable terms on resolution or else we can continue legally.

Make very sure you get everything you’re requesting to be done included in writing in the contract, and even then, good luck. Communication started off great, but then completely derailed weeks before they started on my house. I was told it was because the people handling my job were no longer with the company, which is challenging when that happens for any company, but a good company apologizes for the inconvenience to their customer and then gets you assigned to someone else instead of just not communicating at all and making you feel like you're the problem somehow. They said they would cover my house’s A/C units when taking shingles off of my roof to keep them from being damaged (see picture), and let me know how many plywood sheets would be needed before replacing any of them. None of that happened and I have had to repair damage done to my A/C units that occurred during the job. Also, due to the complicated insurance process we all face in the State of Florida now, I requested pictures of the underlayment that is now put down under the shingles, which is reviewed during the inspection process that occurs prior to any shingles being applied, from every person I spoke with and everyone assured me they would take them and send them to me along with the completed job photos. Every time I followed up with the Corporate Branch Manager on this, who was the person handling my account, I was lied to, over and over, time and again. After over 6 weeks of waiting, 8 follow up emails, 9 check in calls and 1 in-person visit to their office to try and figure out what was going on, where every single one of those interactions ended with me being assured they would be sending me the images right over, I was finally provided a handful of in-progress photos of my house being worked on and no completed job photos at all and told that that was all they would do. This is, hands-down, one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had to deal with in my entire life, and all because of one person. In this process, I have only tried to collect the bare minimum I need, not even remotely all that was promised, while patiently waiting days and sometimes weeks at a time for a response after being told they would be sending everything right over, and I have been treated like I am a problem the whole time. I initially referred this company on to several family members and friends needing their roof to be replaced, but after sharing this experience with them they have all decided to seek out other solutions for their projects and I would recommend you do the same if you can.

Suncoast Roofing and Will Redmond the estimator guided me through the process of making the reroofing of our house in Port Orange FL . A great experience. All personnel associated with the project were courteous and professional and Will Redmond always answered all the questions that eased the whole prosses. 2 years ago they reroofed my main premises and they did an excellent job on the roof and if I need them again I will certainly use them.

Eric Johnson handled my extensve 5,800 complicated many peaked roof. I couldn't have had a better experience. He handled the insurance company, walked me through chooding a new roof, was always monitoring and completely handled all the clean up and any concerns I had. I am getting Sun Coast another roofing job now at my other housee which is a condo building at DAB Shores because of hhim. I can't praise him enough.

Truly one of the worst experiences of my life with a contractor. Zach promised a quote days and days on end.
Was told it was sent to the wrong email, but for some reason the estimator didn’t have the time or ability to forward it? It takes 3 seconds if he actually ever sent it. When I finally got it, it was never forwarded from the previous Friday. Don’t like feeling lied to and like I need to chase someone for a job. Would not recommend unless you want to waste time and be extremely frustrated over and over.

Leak after 8 months. Their estimater took pictures but did not go in the attic to see where the leak was from. He tried to blame the company who reinstalled the pool panels that were not even near the leak. Pictures taken in the attic prove it was from poorly installed tiles around the bathroom vent pipe. Because the solar company tecks sealed around the pipe since heavy rain was eminent the next day, Sun Coast has voided my warranty and refused reimbursement for the paint job done by a friend who owns the company.
Very untrustworthy estimater who lies and is incompetent. Business friends who were listening to the rude receptionist were horrified. I was never reimbursed for property damaged during installation.
