we had a skylight in our living room that was leaking, so we contacted vargas family roofing & construction through their website. david, the owner, got back to us quickly and came out the very next day to provide an estimate. after figuring out the solution, a team arrived the following day to make the repairs, which included matching new shingles to our roof that’s over 10 years old. david even took the time to do some indoor touch-up painting himself. we were really impressed with their quick response and professionalism, and we would definitely choose them again for any roofing or skylight work.

The roofer assessed my chimney and mentioned it only required some minor repairs. He arrived right on schedule, was friendly and professional throughout the process. The estimate was provided quickly. For the repair work, they planned to use a diamond blade grinder to carefully remove the old mortar, ensuring a depth of at least 1/2 inch. All areas were to be cleaned and prepped with water, followed by the application of aggregate concrete grout in Type-N masonry. They would also take care of removing the existing cracked mortar caps down to the brick line and priming the top of the brick surface. The installation of aggregate concrete would add extra strength, tapering down to 1/2 inch on all edges, and the mortar cap top would be smoothed out. The project included all necessary scaffolding and came with a 90-day workmanship warranty. Although I initially found the quoted price of $5,199 to be higher than I expected, I was pleased with the service I received. I ended up choosing another company that charged me $950, which was a pleasant surprise.

i hired a roofer to replace my storm-damaged roof. we had a date set for the start, but weather conditions forced a delay. i was notified by the project manager, william, that they couldn't make it due to the weather, which i appreciated. they managed to complete the job the following week and the results are outstanding. they were also tasked with fixing the wall and ceiling in my grandson's room, but this was repeatedly postponed and i was left uninformed when the interior team couldn't show up, despite us taking time off work. however, when they did finally send someone, grant, he did an excellent job of repairing the damage. the only issue was the lack of communication and active management for the inside part of the job. all in all, they do exceptional work outdoors and the project was handled well. the management and communication for the indoor work could have been better though. regardless, i would still endorse this roofer and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for roof repairs.

my coop reached out to vargas family roofing & construction to handle a leak in our rooftop chimney. we found them extremely experienced, professional, and enjoyable to work with, leading us to accept their proposal to waterproof the lower portion of the chimney. the leak was a challenging issue, as we weren't certain where the water was seeping in from. despite the initial waterproofing, water continued to infiltrate. vargas family roofing & construction was highly responsive to this ongoing issue and collaborated with the coop to pinpoint the root cause. they offered us an affordable proposal to waterproof the rest of the chimney, compensating for the initial attempt's failure to resolve the issue. as evident from the pictures, they waterproofed the whole chimney, and this effectively fixed the problem, with no water seeping in during subsequent storms. we are extremely pleased with the work performed, particularly their approach to the persistent problem. they worked with us to find a solution, without exploiting the situation. based on our experience, we would enthusiastically recommend them. william, grant, and tanner did an excellent job in daytona beach.

We had severe wind damage to our roof last spring, with more than 30 shingles missing and more lifting up or disappearing on our entire rooftop. Our insurance firm didn't want to replace the roof. When the insurance company initially denied our request to replace the whole roof and suggested patching in the missing shingles instead, William and his team helped us persuade the insurance company to send a different adjuster. When they still declined, grant stepped in to help us find a public adjuster. When our adjuster and the insurance company's adjuster couldn't reach an agreement, they helped us get an umpire, who was our last hope. After half a year, multiple calls and meetings with adjusters, and disputes with our insurance company, all of which William from the team helped with, the umpire finally approved the roof replacement. This decision greatly relieved my husband and I. But then we discovered that the approved amount wasn't exactly what the bid was for. grant, once again, had our backs and made it work within what the umpire approved. The job they did was stunning, but it was more than a roof replacement. All the guys I met and worked with, including tanner, were kind, professional, and set the standard for doing what was right.
