We had Stublen Roofing complete a significant amount of work for us in September 2023. A year and a half later we are still so happy with the results! They replaced our roof, gutters, fascia trim wrap, sky light, and a small section of siding. We received estimates from a few different companies and their costs were reasonable. They communicated well with us the timeline for each part of the work to be completed. They explained well the best type of gutter guard for us considering the pine trees surrounding our house. My husband loves that he no longer has to clean out gutters! We had a small section of wood on our front porch and the back of the house that was not pretty to look at and the squirrels were scratching it and destroying it. We had a hard time finding a company that would do the work for such a small amount of siding. This was not an issue for Stublen. While this was a small amount of the work they did, it was important to us. They also took care of a couple other issues for us, not pertaining specifically to the roofing work for a reasonable cost. It was worth it to have one company be able to take care of all the work. Each team of workers we dealt with was professional and communicated with us as the work went along. So glad we went with Stublen!

We recently had Stublen come out to check for roof damage by a fallen branch. The appt process was simple and Kristen came out to do a drone inspection of our roof. She was courteous and respectful plus she answered all my questions. They recommended minor repairs that would prevent future issues which we agreed to and Carlos came out and did the job quickly. I don’t always check my voicemail and he made sure to connect with me and walk me through the process. We had a great experience and would recommend to friends and family.

Very positive experience dealing with Mike who is the company representative and Marisol who is the on-site job forewoman. Mike came out to the house to explain the different options and took measurements. The estimate detailed all of the materials. Mike was very responsive to all of our questions and even performed a site visit on the day of installation. Marisol is very knowledgeable regarding roofing materials and installation procedures. She managed a crew of 14 that did a full tear off, some sheet good repairs and new roof install in 10 hours on a 3,800+ sq ft house. From a homeoener standpoint it was very nice having the job completed in a single day and not having to be concerned with the weather forecast.
Crew is very courteous and did a great job cleaning up the job site. The crew even painted the exposed flashing and vent stacks black to match the roofing color. I would highly recommend giving Stublen a call for your next roofing project.

As a Licensed Home Inspector (who actually climbs roofs and inspects them, rather than running a drone over them) AND a career licensed Building/Remodeling Contractor (and former roofer) I am extremely hard to please. Generally, on any job too large for me to manage on my own, I end up accepting mediocrity as the standard, and carrying resentment and regret, because my own standards are so high.

I recently used Stublen Roofing for flat roof job over my sunroom that is essentially an enclosed patio. Ryan and his team were professional and committed to seeing the job through. They replaced skylights, repaired a good portion of the sunroom roof and the connection of it to the main roof. We hoped that would stop the leak as it seemed that the leak stemmed from the improper installation of the skylights when they were put in the roof. The leak continued to pose problems but each time it started again, Ryan and his team were out working on my house very quickly and were able to get the job done with excellence. Called Stublen Roofing Company in Portsmouth, Va. I have some roofing leaks and wanted to see if I could get someone out here for an estimate. I was told they don’t do estimates and to send pictures so they can see what kind of repair it needed then they will send their tech out at $200/hr. I was told that if I disagree with the repair estimate or the repairs that I would still have to pay the hourly rate of $200 just for them to see it. I don’t do business with businesses that DO NOT give estimates. It sounds like a scheme to make money regardless of whether you agree with the repairs or the type of workmanship. Get estimates!! Don’t fall for “we will charge you regardless of what we don’t do just for showing up”. I recommend calling other companies that will come out and take a loo at your problems then give you an estimate for repairs without charging you for it.

Not only were they the lowest quote that we got, but they clearly explained why they choose to use all the certain materials because of their quality.

They did the roof, siding repair and all new gutters with different teams, but all were very stand up people who took care in their work.

From quote to clean up the service was superb. The crew showed up on time, went to work immediately and and did an outstanding job of replacing my entire roof (60 squares and 28 sheets of plywood) in one day. They took extreme care and covered all of my shrubs and bushes. The post job clean up was terrific. The on-site Project Manager was able to answer all of my questions and concerns. The entire crew was extremely courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend using Stublen roofing!!!

Our wood trim had a lot of issues with rot and water damage. We were interested in a no-maintenance solution. We read that Stublen Roofing did aluminum trim wrapping. We had them give us an estimate along with another company. My wife and I were impressed with Stublen's estimator, Tony, who explains all of the options and provided a timely estimate that was in our price range. We were also impressed with a follow-up call from Matt, suggesting some alternations to the estimate based on his analysis of photos of our house, which ended up saving us some money. Our gutters had to be temporarily removed so that the trim wrap team could have access to all of the trim. The removal crew were polite and fast. The trim wrap crew was also professional and cleaned up every evening, leaving no debris around the house. The outcome was outstanding. We were extremely impressed with the trim wrap around our soffits, fascia, window frames, and elsewhere. The house looks dramatically better and has solved a lot of issues that have long concerned my wife and me. We'd unreservedly recommend Stublen Roofing to others for their whole-house trim wrap needs.

Awesome company from the beginning of the process. Got multiple quotes to replace my roof and they were the fairest price. Ryan was great, attentive, and helpful. Helped us pick a new color and everything turned out great. We have a pretty large roof and they finished the job in one day. Unfortunately I had to go out of town on a last minute work trip during the install and the team was able take care of moving items out of the way so they would not get damaged (plants, string lights, basketball hoop, etc.). We had our roof replaced by Stublen. I got quotes from the top 3 roofing companies on google reviews in the immediate area. They were all similar, but Stublen was the most competitive. They were fast to respond with an estimate, and we got on the schedule quickly after signing the contract. Everything was professional and quick. I think the entire process from the first email sent requesting an estimate to install day took 6-7 weeks. This also included a week or two for me to make a decision. Everything was easy and quick, something that is hard to come across in 2021. I would do business again with them the next time I need a roof.

31 square removed, 31 square (Burnt Sienna Pro) installed in 1 day! Had a nor-easter roll through 3 days later with heavy rain and high wind... bone dry and in tac!
Project manager and a crew member then came by same day to answer my questions, did a walk through in the attic and all was good.
They also corrected our previous fascia board issue and added missing aluminum, that another contractor was supposed to install, to cover the builders gap AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!!!

Their crew was on time and did great job removing the old roof. They covered all flower beds/Deck with tarps. Cleaned up as they went. The whole crew were professional. They cleaned up afterwards with magnets and rakes. I liked the idea of them coming back a couple days later to check if any more trash could be found.
