Stay away from this contractor. Was hired by Storm Solution Specialist to do a re-side. We completed the job and myself and the contractor walked the job and could not find any issues. Both contractor and homeowner were pleased with the work. Contractor refused to pay me in full for the work completed.

Luke and his team is very professional and did a great job on our house. He stopped out within a day of my call and is working directly with my insurance company to repair our home. Beyond happy with the service and quality of work.

Luke is the owner of Storm Solution Specialists Inc. I have water damage to the soffits of my roof due to an improperly installed roof which was done by a company called Homepride which Luke owned before he created this new business name. I actually first contacted Homepride and was told of this. Homepride originally installed my faulty roof said they bought the company from Luke, but not the liabilities. They steered me in Luke’s direction. Initially Luke seemed very helpful and even came out to take a look at my roof and the pictures taken when the faulty roof was torn off. (I didn’t know where the water damage was coming from until this roof was removed and pictures were taken by the new installers) Luke initially agreed when he looked at the pictures that showed the ice and water shield was installed incorrectly. He spoke of his previous company that installed it and gave me numerous examples as to why the new owners were bad and even encouraged me to take them to small claims court stating he would be a witness. He also encouraged me to write a review on the BBB on them. Luke said that they did indeed purchase the liabilities from him when he sold Homepride so they should be the ones to take action.
When I called Homepride again I spoke with the president who once again said they did not purchase the liabilities and even produced a letter from their lawyer stating that they did not! When I approached Luke with this info he was much less friendly and discounted the letter insinuating that since the lawyer’s firm was not located directly in the city of Omaha that they weren’t legit. When I asked Luke to produce a letter from his lawyers stating he was not liable he was even less friendly stating that his lawyer was far too busy to do such a thing quickly so I asked how soon he could get it. He had no answer but began suggesting many other reasons I might have water damage other than an improperly installed roof! I am a fair person and told him I would wait awhile for him to get proof that he is not liable for my roof before I wrote any reviews. (at this point he angrily said “Fine do what you have to do!” and hung up on me) It’s been several months so I’m sure it is not true. It took the other company less than 7 days to produce a legal letter. Very frustrated to be stuck with damages I have to try and figure out how to financially afford to fix. Luke seems like a good guy but he’s a talker and not an action taker. In his mind he did help me by coming out and offering me many other reasons I have water damage and that only happened after I had proof he was liable. He agreed the roof was improperly installed originally when he looked at the pictures. Not to be trusted!! Friendly and helpful until it comes down to doing what is right.
