Called the store to make sure they had product. They said yes, and I told them I was on my way. The automated message said they closed at 4:30, and they never said they closed at 4. Got there at 4:05 and they said they couldn't get two bundles of roofing, even though they were on the clock until 4:30. As a business owner, I would expect my employee to tell my customer that they close in 20 minutes.

They sold me a bunch of damaged GAF shingles. I ordered 22 squares delivered roof top and had to throw out a bunch because of a manufacturer defect. The little strip that keeps the shingles from sticking together were missing so I had a bunch of torn shingles when I tried to get them apart. I told the guy at Stoneway and he looked like a deer in the headlights. The simple mofo just said ," oh that sucks". What the hell

The entire team at Stoneway is a blast to work with! Whether you are a walk in customer or planning a large job ahead of time, everyone here is incredible at helping out. Friendly greetings when you walk in. Rita and Amy are very knowledgeable and help out with any questions, big or small. When they are busy, you will still get helped by people who know what they are doing. Their delivery drivers and roof loaders are very friendly, safe at the job site, and are very courteous at the job site and really care about doing their job well. Great communication and help from the moment you call or walk in to the moment the roof work is all done. Thank you to everyone at Stoneway Roofing Supply for always helping us out, we really appreciate you guys!

If you're not a roofing contractor, don't expect very nice service. Nobody here seems to excited to be there. My special order was lost reordered and when it finally came was the wrong product and nowhere near the $100 price I paid. They finally gave it to me in the Amazon box they received it in (pic does that look worth $100). Watch out for the forklift driver, he might run you over. Only after he invites you back into the yard to find your own roofing package. I'll never give my business to them again.

I wish there was a way to give 0 stars. I order roof shingles through Home Depot 9 days in advance for a March 26th afternoon delivery. They received my paperwork and it was confirmed by Home Depot before I left the store. On that paperwork it said ground drop delivery. Stoneway's manager stated that there was confusion on if it was supposed to be a ground or roof drop so called Home Depot to clarify. They never heard back from Home Depot. So there answer was to NOT DELIVER MY SHINGLES AT ALL!!!!!!!!! Absolutely unacceptable. My phone number is on the paperwork as well, and they didn't think of calling me. I had 6 guys coming over the next day to help install my roof shingles that never came. I had already stripped the roof down to the plywood so now i am left with no shingles for the weekend. We put underlayment down, drip edge, valley flashing then tarped up our roof because a 25 MPH wind/rain/hail storm was coming in on Sunday. My wife spent $560 on tarps. Tarps held for a while but were no match for 25 MPH winds. So rain was free falling into my attic while we tried to tape the vents from the inside of my attic. Called them on Monday explained the situation and i didn't even get an "I'm sorry". They said they could deliver the shingles that day, but that was pointless as all of my help work M-F jobs and i was leaving town the next weekend. Be aware. Don't plan on this company being on time or having any sort of customer service. Mike S. is the dispatcher that screwed us and Marcus is the manager there that would not make the situation right. There are plenty of other places to get roofing materials from, order from somewhere else.

I am a specialty Roofing contractor based out of Tacoma. At first it was a battle between Washington cedar and them, and the front desk people at stoneway really won me over. I am happy to go in there whenever I need materials. The rep, Josh, is just wonderful, and their prices are reasonable. The service I receive is worth the few extra dollars spent. If your a contractor or a homeowner in the middle of a project, I recommend getting materials there.
Thank you stoneway

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
