Stillwater Builders

I would give zero stars if I could! My fiancé and I purchased one of their spec homes while it was still in the framing stage of construction. Our experience with the builder was absolutely horrendous. If we had known that we would have to go through what we did with this "custom home builder" we absolutely would NOT have put an offer on our house. Their communication with us for the remainder of the build was poor at best - it took us practically harassing their office and Jeff's personal phone (one of the owners) to even get a response. They lied to us, falsified the real estate listing, made decisions about changing cosmetics of the house after we already entered the contract without consulting us first, and were just downright unprofessional. They delayed our closing 3 times and when we were actually able to close, they left us waiting at the lawyer firm for an hour and a half after the scheduled settlement time just to call our realtor and say they were not coming and to sign the papers without them. After having lived in the house for almost 5 months now, we have noticed mistake after mistake in craftmanship, cutting corners, and just sloppy work. My fiancé and I both work in new home construction, and between the two of us we cover all of the odds and ends of the trade, from the craftsmanship to interior design. The neighborhood we live in currently has 4 Stillwater Homes in it, and at least one other homeowner had a similar experience during the build process, especially with Jeff. I urge you to NOT use Stillwater if you want an enjoyable experience building a house and a product that you are happy with! You should not have to settle on ANY decision in your home, and that includes the builder. Stillwater would absolutely be settling and a definite downhill journey from the beginning. Do yourself a favor and find another builder for your home.

My husband and I were in desperate need of our 30 year old being replaced. After having 7 different estimates we decided to go with Stillwater Builders. Kevin was very polite, professional & knowledgeable. He had his crew come to our house in a reasonable time & finished both our roof and detached garage in a day and a half! We are so happy with it & will be using them in the future!
