Stewart Roofing - Quality at a Value Price
I needed a new roof quickly at what I considered a value price that didn't include any "upselling". After receiving 6 quotes and researching reviews I was pretty convinced to choose Stewart Roofing. My final decision was made when Rick Stewart, owner for over 40 years, took the time to call me and answer some questions I had.
Decision made, my house was on the schedule within the week. His 5 man crew arrived and got to work immediately. The goal for them was to complete my roof in a day (something they strive for on most roofing jobs), and they did! Talking with Salvador, the crew lead, he said that they know by 2PM if they will finish by 5PM.
When it was complete, I could find nothing out of order, all shingles and flashing were expertly placed. A few days later I went into my attic to see the underside of my roof. I was thoroughly impressed at how areas needing repair were expertly executed.
Be it known that the deck of my roof was in terrible shape. Salvador commented that it was one of the worst he'd seen in a long time, needing to replace 42 sheets. Unfortunately a person can't look at a roof beforehand and know how much work or replacement materials will be needed until the tear-off is complete.

I’m so impressed with Stewart Roofing!
My house is a tall house with a basement, main floor, upper floor, and standup attic. And it’s old - I’ve learned from old neighbors that construction was in phases and completion took about 10 years which started in about 1949.
Understandably the materials and procedures used in the three layers of roofing over the decades were “dated” in every respect except leaking! Not wanting to wait until the leaks started, a full replacement was warranted.
The old roof had slats on the rafters as a base, then asphalt shingles, then a layer of wood shakes, and finally a layer of metal roofing that had the street appearance of tile.
Besides dealing with a lot of old materials, the house is set back about 100 feet from the road - so the roofers were unable to park their trucks or trailers close to the house. Therefore, throwing the old roofing material from the roof into the truck was not an option. Everything had to be thrown to the ground, and then hauled by wheelbarrow out to the road to be thrown into the trucks. Naturally, one of my primary concerns while knowing that procedure would be necessary, was that there was an opportunity for a lot of debris to be left behind. But that was absolutely not a problem for these roofers. Everything was very nicely cleaned up with no evidence of the work having been done when they left, except for a nice new roof. They were even careful to take the metal roofing to be recycled, as opposed to just dumping it with the rest of the old roofing material.
I particularly appreciated the fact that they replaced and painted some rotten facia boards at the eve of the most inaccessible part of the roof. That would’ve been very high ladder work that I would have been very uncomfortable doing myself!
In summary, I am very satisfied with the work that they did, for the advice that they gave me for selection of materials including types and locations of roof venting, and for their diligent attention to safety and professional cleanup.

We had our entire roof replaced the summer of 2024, which included a significant amount of sheeting. The estimate was competitive. Both office staff and the roofing crew were honest and professional. They did a great job of cleaning up afterword. We can highly recommend Stewart Roofing!

Absolutely the best experience ever! Everyone was professional, they answered all our questions, fixed the problems they found and worked with us on our skylights. The price was better than other roofing companies and they did a wonderful job! We are very pleased with our new roof and gutters! Oh and they finished the job in one day! Amazing!

Stewart Roofing have done a number of small jobs for us before we asked them to do a full roof replacement. In every case, they did a fast, professional job. Would be happy to work with them again, but a roof lasts a long, long time.

Great communication throughout the process. Final price was higher than original bid but the damage was extensive that was revealed during removal. Finished product looks great and feel confident will be trouble free for warranty timeframe

Sorry for this very long overdue review. But I can't tell you how amazing the service, quality, and communication from everyone at Stewarts roofing was. They came over, provided a quote, absolutely no pushy salespitches. Just gave the quote and went on their way. I had some questions about the quote, not only was everyone more than happy to give info, but I even got to talk to the owner. I gotta say, any owner willing to talk to the customers and not jush push it on their employees, to me, that's integrity.

We set on a color, a price, they came when I wasn't even home, did all the work, cleaned up very well (I mean with any big projects there will always be a few scraps left, it just happens, ask any contractor).

I highly recommend Stewarts, as they were recomended to me.

What started as a few drips from the attic into the bathroom ceiling in May '22 became a substantial leak in October '22. I reached out to Stewart Roofing in late October and Tim went above and beyond - walking me through how to wrap our chimney to make sure that wasn't the source of the issues, and getting us hooked up with Joe for an assessment. With winter approaching, I was so worried about the standing water above our bathroom ceiling in the attic and possibly having serious water damage.

Joe was fabulous! He walked me through a few issues we had, gave me some best guesses as to the source of the water, and offered a couple of solutions to fix the problem.

We ended up replacing the entire back half of the roof in mid-November and the leak hasn't been an issue since then. The installation team was a pleasure to work with, very polite and professional and did an excellent job cleaning up.

I honestly cannot even put into words the amount of stress that it has lifted off my shoulders not having to worry if the ceiling is going to leak/cave in every time we have heavy rains.

From the first phone call I made to the follow up after installation everyone was been a JOY to work with.

Each person I dealt with at Stewart Roofing was helpful and kind. From my first call that was based off of a neighborhood recommendation, the office manager got all the details. Joe was at my house the next day for an inspection and to prepare the quote. He found my roof didn’t have plywood under the roofing, because of age it was shiplap that needed plywood before new roofing could be installed. Joe was the only guy out of 4 other bids that brought that up and included the $ in his bid. I’m sure the others would have been a change order for the plywood add and substantially more $. Joe’s final bid was fair and inclusive. The owner Rick, then called to see if I had questions. They were able to schedule my re-roof the next Monday. On install day they arrived on time, the superintendent Bruce was on-site the entire time overseeing the crew and answered all my questions. He found 2 leaks and repaired them along with the new roof install all in one day. I recommend Stewart Roofing 100%, high quality team that know their craft, fair price and fast. Also, their price was reasonable in comparision to other companies. Joe, who was in charge was very patient in answering any questions that I have. After the work was completed, he reviewed everything to make sure I was satisfied with their job. I was very pleased.

From first contact to final work, everyone was very professional. The cost was very competitive. The team installed ridge vents that resolved a years long attic ventilation issue. Stewart Roofing was awesome for some roof leak repairs last winter. Their technician was prompt, knowledgeable and easily fixed our roof leak. They were so great to work with that we used them to replace our roof when the weather got better this Spring. The crew who did the work were quick, conscientious, and did excellent work. They care about the satisfaction of the customer. Joe came back to check with me to ensure I have no issues, and he went up the roof at my request to check on my exhaust fans. He helps us above and beyond his work scoops. Also, you don’t pay a penny until after the job has completed. That shows they are confident with their work. I still have not received my bill yet.

Our roof was due to be replaced and we received multiple quotes. Stewart Roofing was honest and up front about the condition of our current roof and the cost if a new one (including possible additional costs like replacement boards). They came when they said that they would, finished within the preset timeframe and cleaned up when they were finished. Their quality and reliability is great!

Called Stewart roofing after calling two other company's that were recomended from co workers for a roof leak during one of our amospheric river rain events. This happened around the holiday's. The other company's didn't respond to messages or have a recording why...i.e hollidays,etc...

Tim with Stewart answered the phone and was very helpful. As soon as they could (due to significant snow) they came out and repaired roof. Less then a week. It's been a week and no leak after heavy rains. Very happy

During one of our most recent rainageddons, the flashing around my plumbing vent started leaking. I was referred to Steward Roofing, and when I called, Tim, even while SUPER busy with other projects, took the time to talk with me to troubleshoot. He asked all the probing questions to hone in on my issue, and when I sent him the video I took of the leak, he was quick to send it to his tech and get me on the schedule. Their tech literally called me within an hour and said he could squeeze me in between another job. He came out and fixed my flashing. I am beyond impressed with the level of service, support, and professionalism from all parties representing Stewart Roofing. You can definitely count on them! Pricing was competitive, as well. My first contact with Stewart Roofing was a phone call answered by Tim in the office. He was the most helpful, knowledgeable person I have spoken to in my roofing research.

I received quotes from seven different roofing companies and Stewart was the best price.

As we dug deeper into our project, Rick Stewart the owner made several calls to the city of Renton to double check codes to make sure that we would get the very best value as the roof was installed.

The roofers did an excellent job, professional cleanup and when they didn’t have enough material to finish a small piece of the facia were back quickly to complete the work.
