We had a good experience with this contractor. They created a beautiful bathroom in our basement on time and on budget. We would certainly recommend Star kitchen and Bath Remodelers.
Tanner came to our home to replace rotting fascia boards and a decaying porch railing. He did an excellent job, He was conscienteous, punctual, and courteous! He paid attention to details. I would recommend his work any day!!

I recently hired Tanner based on the positive reviews I read, unfortunately my experience was not that.
I had a bathroom project that included installing a ceiling light and exhaust vent, replacing drywall where I had removed a closet and tiling the floor. Tanner seemed knowledgeable and confident in his skills. His original quote was double what we ended up agreeing on and he admitted that he had tried to “jack up the price.” Despite that-because of his assurance in his ability to do the work I gave him a chance.
At the end of the first day I noticed that the light was not securely attached to the housing leaving a big gap between it and the ceiling. Tanner explained that he was not finished and that it needed silicone to secure it in place. According to the manufacturer’s directions and video, it was supposed to be securely attached to the housing and not siliconed to the ceiling. Other minor issues included sheet rock screws not uniformly placed and half of them were not sunk and one wall has 4 pieces of drywall instead of one whole sheet (resulting in 4 seams). I purchased all the supplies for the job according to Tanner’s list which was lacking obvious materials (or the right amount) for the project.
The next day I paid him for the one day and we parted ways. Then I noticed that the outside vent cover to the exhaust fan was either not attached correctly or just attached crooked and the siding above damaged. Overall, I found his workmanship shoddy and I now need to hire an electrician to check his wiring, secure the light and the vent/cover if needed.
* MOST IMPORTANTLY-Tanner had used my ladder and carelessly left it holding the back gate to my fenced yard wide open for my deaf dog to run free in my very urban neighborhood.
Because of this experience I felt it necessary to write this review and hope it’s helpful to others trying to find a credible handyman service.
