We were selling a house in SO STL city with a slate tile roof that DID not leak and was in good shape. Mark was asked to by the potential buyer to inspect. He did but instead of coming back with a estimate to make any needed repairs his answer was a bid to replace the entire roof. When I asked him how often he does this verses a repair bid he said most times he just bids a new roof. His rational is they are all old. If you want to lose a sale use these guys. By the way the bid was $90K. What is this?
St. Louis Slate & Tile did a wonderful job repairing some significant issues we had with our slate roof. Not only were they much more responsive than any of the other slate roof companies I contacted (some of whom never bothered to get me a quote after coming out), but the owner was thoughtful and detail-oriented whenever I had questions along the way. He also didn't try to upsell me, which I very much appreciate, and presented a variety of reasonable options that would work for our repair. Will absolutely be using them in the future for all our roofing-related needs.
