Horrible experience with our GE front loader washer. Rob misdiagnosed our problem twice after paying him for service and parts in full. Customer service was far from satisfactory after he threw in the towel, literally! He left without letting us know and put a load of towels in the water that was sitting for days and completely ruined them. We were refunded for parts. Please take your business elsewhere.

David Godwin diagnosed and fixed our dishwasher on a Sunday. He diagnosed the problem and had the dishwasher working within a half hour! It was one of the best experiences I've had getting an appliance repaired. Highly recommend him and plan to call him for future repairs

I called them first and spoke with David Goodwin, who took his time and listened to me and the issues with my washer, and told me the cost and the possible future cost with full transparency. Then I called four other companies, but I reached customer service companies and they all sounded very "sketchy" with their "inclusive" diagnostics costs, etc. So I called David back because of his honesty and full transparency. He came to my property, made the diagnosis, and explained everything that was going on, including the costs to repair, showed me the actual prices of the parts, etc. If you want honesty, complete transparency, and good service, I would definitely recommend them.

I couldn’t have had a worse experience with Robert and his boss. He told us our compressor for our refrigerator was broken, when it was actually a switch that cost $50 (we found out from the GE repairman). We are down thousands of dollars, major headaches and so much time. His boss said he would arrange a mediation to get us some of our money back, then he returned our mail (the address they gave us was to an abandoned house in Palm Coast) and stopped answering our messages and calls. I warn you, do not trust Robert, or his boss. It’s sad that people have to live on ripping others off.

I'm rating their customer service rather than their actual service since they literally never showed up.

I completed the service request on the website on Saturday morning, and someone called me back about 3 hours later. No problem there. He told me the rates and I opted to book for the next available, which was Monday between 9 and 11 a.m. He said that he would call me to confirm arrival. By 11:20 a.m. I had not heard from him so I called. The man who answered--to my knowledge there's only two and this was the other one--said that he would contact his partner and tell him to give me a call. Well that didn't happen. I called back at 12:20, no answer. I called again at 3:25, no answer. I always try to shop and spend locally, but I'm SO SICK of dealing with these types of businesses who really don't care about doing business.

Called for problems with ice maker because I had it replaced before while still under warranty. Robert came out, found other issues but had to order a replacement valve and said it would take several days to get it in. Well, the other issues were fixed but the ice maker still doesn’t work properly and the front where I get the ice/water was not properly reinstalled after repairs so I have to keep pushing it back in. Two people recommended this company to me but I never will.

Spoke to Robert and he was extremely nice and knowledgeable. We unfortunately never had him come out to repair the refrigerator (replaced instead). However I saved his number as he was quick to respond to the phone call and seemed very patient.

Service man came to inspect leaking front load washer during the normal cycle. His inspection appeared to be thorough but he only ran the speed cycle wothout laundry. His attitude was rude. He blamed us for using too much soap, to much laundry, not cleaning the filter, improper installation etc. He found nothing wrong took our money and left. Today I did a load , on normal cycle, according to his specific instructions. There was water everywhere. When I called them the man was rude and told me to find someone else to service the machine. This is unprofessional and I would not recommend this repair company! This is a company with good reviews so iI did not expect to be treated this way. I do apologize for losing my temper in frustration and wish things would have gone differently .

I'm hesitant to even write this review because I feel something bad may have happened to the owner. The complete lack of answering the phone or calling us for an update on our scheduled repair makes me think maybe he got in a car accident or is badly ill. I hope this is the case because if not, this was the worse service experience I have ever encountered. My washing machine stopped working on a Saturday and my husband called and was told what the problem likely was and the part was ordered for an estimated Tuesday repair. By Wednesday, no word from him. When I did hear from him he sounded annoyed that I had called to check on the status and scheduled to come out between 2-4 on Wednesday. I rearranged my day for this and by 2:15 he told me the part was not actually in. My husband and I both called and left messages Thursday and Friday with no return call. We did not want to schedule another company because we trusted this guy. Now it has been over a week and no one has even come to look at the washer. We decided to move on from this company and look elsewhere but the delay in repair is very inconvenient especially with multiple kids in the house, one of which is a baby. You know how laundry can build up! I know everyone is busy and parts take a while, but a phone call would have been appreciated. BTW, I could have ordered the part he needed on Amazon and had it here the Monday before he was even scheduled to come out! Big waste of time and inconvenience for the busy lives of two working parents with young children.

Appliance repair is tricky. Customers can be easily exploited. If you want to deal with a straight shooter, then call David. I will spare you the details of other repair companies. David is responsive, knowledgable and really cares about servicing his customers. What more can you ask for?

They were out to my house on the 25th of March very expedienly to diagnose what was wrong with my washer. I paid $307 that day ans was told the part would be in by 28-29th March. It’s been two weeks and I still haven’t recieved the part or word of when it will be in.

I’m disabled army and I’m paralyzed from the waist down. So I really need it fixed. Has anyone else had this problem?

David Godwin is by far the example of what customer service is all about. From the first phone call at 7am to his response at 8am. David was prompt, professional, and extremely courteous. I say that because my wife was the one who was home and he took the time to explain the reason for our refrigerator freezer not working. My wife mentioned that we were going to look for a new one and he was able to get us a deal on a new one and have it installed the same day. We will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. BEWARE of COMMITMENTS NOT KEPT; I had their tech visit some time back to do a fridge repair. Expensive, not exactly on schedule, but good end result. So, I thought, this company must be great. While I was at it, spoke to the tech about doing some parts installation on my outdoor Viking Grill. No problem, I was told, schedule it with the main office, and that the tech was an expert in Viking Grills.

A few weeks later, I did. Called Wednesday, was told guy could be out Friday. "He's our best tech; He'll call 8:30-9:30".

Ok, Fri 9:00, got a call stating "not going to be able to be out there today; can be there Tuesday" Ok, not the end of the world.

Tues comes around - no call, no show.

So I call today (Wednesday)...first told by dispatcher, that call was cancelled (I said not to my knowledge). Dispatch then called the tech...then called me back. Said "can't get out there to my house, ever. Can't do grill services per owner. Too many broken fridges, and rotting food a higher priority" (guess my money is not attractive enough). I asked questions like: why didn't anyone tell me this? why hadn't the tech told me Friday when he postponed, instead of stringing me along? Why did you take the dispatch appointment in the first place?...was told "just my first week" and I called BS on this...I spoke to the dispatch last week. And clearly if he knew this tech was the best, he'd likely known him more than a day (so, not honest IMO). He also said it was some sort of "on the side job" which it was not (not honest again), since the tech had told me to call the office, which I did. Lastly, when relating my story, I said...the first postponement I was tolerant of, because it could have been he was sick, got sent to a higher priority job, or he was in a car accident, or anything...Dispatch reply was "yes that is what it was" which is just plain nonsensical. When I told him that's BS and you don't know what's going on, they hung up on me. Classy. I was certainly a bit upset & even raised my voice somewhat. But I thought the customer was someone to be desired, not pushed away.

So now, I don't have my grill fixed for the weekend guests arriving, and this place has a very negative Google review. I could have been patient and waiting for a gap in their schedule this week. It's not a hard job what I needed done. I'm local to St A. And my money is good.

Bottom line: Don't count on what their dispatch and ownership tells you. And don't believe they'll show up until they actually are there. Me, I'm taking my business elsewhere.

RESPONSE to owner's comment below: To your customer (me), the decision to no longer service grills was made since the last visit for my fridge, as far as I can tell - otherwise I'd have been told that by the tech at the fridge repair service call a couple months ago. Fine. I can understand business decisions. However, apparently that was not communicated to your dispatch person during her training (and my apologies for identifying her as a male; I missed her name on the call). Furthermore, the primary irritant was getting the call from your tech saying he couldn't get there today (Friday) but would be there Tuesday. And Tuesday rolls around and no one lets me know. The call was apparently internally cancelled and if I had not called, I would have never known. Presumably you'd also told your tech he couldn't take those jobs. All he had to do was say dispatch was wrong, she's new, we've had a new ownership directive, yada yada. I'm not unreasonable. But I don't like being strung along and having my time wasted. THAT's why I was upset, if it was not clear.

I purchased a fridge, stove and dishwasher from them a lil over a year ago, we had it a week and it started making a loud noise, called him and he came but was very unprofessional and told us even though it was under warranty for us to handle the problem, he fixed it after my response of “It’s under warranty and not our responsibility nor are we experienced in refrigerator repair”. Now a year later our ice maker is not working and won’t make it dispense ice, i called twice and left messages, no response so I had to call Samsung and set up repair service through Samsung and they were wonderful.. would “NOT” recommend this company or gentleman to anyone, best of luck to those of you who use them.

My refrigerator was SQUEALING, and I was certain it was on its way out. I tried ordering a new one, but there were none available because of Covid. A salesman at one of the stores gave me David's name and number.
He came out at the end of the day; it was obvious that it had been a long one. In a minute or two, the problem was fixed.
David told me that what he did was a "bandaid," and the part (compressor??...not sure) would break in the future.
That was a few months ago...still running cold and quiet.
David didn't even charge me; when does that happen anymore??!!

I rarely leave bad reviews as I am a very understanding person and have worked years in the service industry myself. The repair man sent today quoted me $40 for a piece that is $5 at Lowe’s- and wanted $110 for labor and the $89 for coming out, totaling $239 for a tiny hole in the plastic tubing on the back of our refrigerator. My husband called the owner Dave who was VERY helpful, I will say. However the repair man left and wrote “customer said he would do it himself” which is not what happened- the owner and my husband had discussed the cost of the piece and worked out a more reasonable price. The repair man left without doing any of the work and left the refrigerator pulled out and waterline zip tied. It really was a not great experience. We are all suffering right now and to price gauge a $5 piece is crazy- it is my hope this will be rectified in the future. Also, always do your homework!

I wish I could give them a no star review but I can not. It all started when I set up service for them to come out. He said it was 89 for the service call I said no problem. I had a small leak from a tube in the back of my refrigerator. The part cost 4.85 at Lowe’s to fix. They quote me 40 for the part and 120 for labor. Most companies subtract the service call price from the job not this one! They add the 89 to the price and quote 249 to install a 4.85 part. I told the guy to hold on a minute why I called the owner who I spoke with earlier. I called the owner and he agreed the price seemed high. He said he would call me right back. I waited 20 minutes and didn’t hear anything so I reached out to him. He said the guy told him that I said to charge me the 89 dollars and leave?? I explained that I told him I was going to call you before agreeing to any price. He said I shouldn’t have told his guy to leave and hung up on me. I did not tell anyone to leave and you would think the owner might at least think maybe my tech is not telling the whole truth. Not in this case. So I decide to call the tech to see if he can help explain the situation and he tells me to fix it myself and also hangs up on me. So they charge my card 89 for fixing nothing and the guy leaves my wife sitting there with a fridge that is still broken. Funny part is that as he was there looking at my fridge another customer was calling him complaining and he said fix it yourself to him too. I never leave bad reviews as I work in sales but please beware before calling these guys. I guess they go around all day collecting 89 dollar service call fees and don’t have to actually fix anything. BIG SCAM go elsewhere unless you like being mistreated and ripped off

The knob broke off of my washer and they took the time to explain to me over the phone what fixing it involves (it wasn’t the knob that broke it was the thing sticking out of the machine) which is essentially buying a $100 piece and a visit out etc. he told me I’d be better off just getting a new machine. I appreciated his honesty and upfront advice. I’ll definitely call again next time something breaks!

Unfortunately, I did call again and wasn’t as pleased. The first appointment time was missed with no phone call or apology. I called to reschedule because I was desperate to get it done. He showed up on the wrong day. Finally he came on the correct day and the work was finished. Then I called again about a fridge. Three visits over 3 weeks, parts ordered and waited for each time and then was finally told, must be a pinched wire in the door, there’s nothing we can do. This is a nice, newish fridge (which he recommended that I keep and not replace in the beginning). I’m several hundreds of dollars in now and the ice maker/water dispenser is still not working. Is he right? I don’t know. I’m not an expert, but it is frustrating.

We woke up to our freezer all thawed out and making an odd noise. We called another company who stalled us off all day only to tell us they couldn't make it until the 16TH OF MARCH! So I looked for good reviews and a nearby appliance repair and found St. Augustine Appliance and Refrigerator Repair. David was here within 30 minutes and diagnosed and made the repair in less than 30 minutes. He is experienced, friendly, polite and quick! Pricing for an after hours call was to be expected and reasonable. We are grateful and will ONLY call David should we need any future appliance repairs.

Could not be happier with my experience with this company. I had a refrigerator that was not cooling properly. I have a member of my household that requires refrigerated medication. They responded immediately and were at my residence for the repair within 2 hours in a pouring rain. They arrived in masks, fixed my issue quickly and professionally, and left my refrigerator cleaner than when they arrived. The price was fair and the quality of the work was excellent. After realizing my fridge went out at 3am. I looked around on google and found SAARR open 24hours. Gave it a try and and a person by the name of David answered. I told him that nothing is running on my fridge not even the lights. He responded by telling me that most likely it’s a circuit breaker or my gfi had trip and to check that before spending the money on a service call. Sure enough he was right. Fridge is up and running. Thanks David.

They told me a part was 260 dollars and that was the reason they charged almost $500 for the repair. I looked the part up on Whirlpool and various sites, it is listed as $81. See official Whirlpool repair site...

I would have gladly even paid double for the part, but charging 267 dollars for 80 dollar part was very excessive. I emailed twice asking for explanation and/or partial refund to make price reasonable but received no response.

I will say they did do a good job with the actual repair. BUT apparently they want to gouge you on part pricing.

I’ve been calling for 2 weeks now to get someone to come fix my fridge after telling them it’s not working again from the first fix 4 months ago. I’ve wasted about $200 on food because everything has gone bad in the process of them ignoring all of my phone calls. Can’t help but think they screwed up the first time fixing it and refuse to take responsibility.

My refrigerator was making an odd noise and then the freezer went. Called at 7:30pm on Friday night. Was at my house by 8:30pm. David was professional and skilled, explained every aspect of what was happening with the fridge. Sad to say - it was going to cost more to fix than it was worth. But no worries! David sells appliances and took the diagnostic fee off the price. Great to deal with. Highly recommend!

When you promise a Friday appointment to repair a range and then call that morning and say you'll fit us in on Monday...we have a problem. People. We're in the middle of a pandemic. We don't visit restaurants so we cook every night. And...because you promised to come out we didn't try anyone else. So, now we have no one. I would NOT recommend these folks.

Extremely impressed!!! Started with a service call at 8:30 am that led to us needing a new washer machine, not only did he deliver/set up a brand new exact model of the old washer at several hundred dollars less than retail and delivery, he did all of this in less than 6 hours. An added plus was the extremely customer-focused attitude where he tried to save me money by talking me through the repair over the phone, but I was more comfortable with him coming out to fix it. I highly recommend.

I called David up this morning (a Saturday) because our washing machine was overflowing with suds and water was all over the floor. He saved us a trip charge on a Saturday by diagnosing a simple issue over the phone. I appreciate the honesty and willingness to help over the phone. I will use him over and over where needed. So I went to leave a 5 star review and realized I already left one several years ago for a fridge repair Lol, so had to log in and write a new one!

We had our dishwasher serviced and couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and attention to detail. Arrived quickly and took care of all problems causing the leak. Robert was very professional and knowledgeable. This is the type of person you WANT coming in to your home to fix things! Excellent job as usual, will use again for any other issues for sure!

Robert came out to fix my oven. He diagnosed a bad sensor. $323 later he was on his way. I called and spoke to David the owner. I advised that not only is my oven still not working properly but it appears that additional damage may have been done in the repair process as my broiler is now malfunctioning. He stated that it was probably a bad relay switch or the board needed to be replaced (on a 3 year old oven). I asked if he could not charge me the $89 service charge again when they come back out. He immediately got defensive and stated "because of the way you approached me I would not be able to perform any type of service for you and I don't care to get involved with it".

So not only does he not stand behind his work but he will charge you an additional service fee to come rectify issues caused by his technician.

Fantastic same day service on Super Bowl Sunday!! David was excellent, on time and very professional. Showed me exactly what was wrong with my dryer, the minimum I could repair, but also what he recommended for preventative maintenance. Reasonable rates, fast and efficient. Will definitely choose St Augustine Appliance and Repair for all my appliance repair needs.

These folks are the best. I called them up once to fix my dryer and they assessed the situation over the phone and suggested a repair rather than replacement was the way to go. The turn around was quick, successful and reasonable. So when my washer went on the blink, I called them again.
Again, the issue was evaluated over the phone and replacement was recommended due to both the cost of repair and the age of my washer.. Because of the consistently perfect reviews and my prior experience, it decided to do that at 5 pm that day. They offered to install a new washer and dryer by 8 pm that day. Freaking amazing, yes ! I went with it even tho my 10 year old dryer was still working because...the price was so good. It was the same washer etc. that I had been reviewing @ Lowe's but for a whole lot less plus immediate installation! Then...
I mentioned in conversation the age old problem I had with my ice-maker in my refrigerator (at 8PM ). By 8:45 That was fixed. He (the boss himself) had the parts and all. It saved me a service call charge and sure put a big smile on my face. He took my old dryer (still worked well) and is donating it to a family in need. Wow !
No wonder one of the reviewers here above said he was tattooing their number on himself in their honor. You MUST use these guys for your appliance repair ...or replace needs!! FIVE STARS.

Dave fixed our fridge when the other guys couldn't. We got home from a 2-week trip and found our fridge had died while we were gone. After a whole lot of deep cleaning, we called a company to fix it.
