Jay, Jeremy & Robson did a spectacular job, painting my entryway, living room, dining room, kitchen, upper hall and guest bathroom. These gentlemen were quiet, kind and immaculate workers. My ceilings needed some work and all were fixed like brand new. The trim, window frames and doors all look brand new. My place looks amazing and I will rehire next year to complete the TV room and Bedrooms.

I'll be a customer for life. Smyth painted my house in Newport, and due an unpredicted cold spell late in the process, some of the paint did not adhere as well as advertised. A Smythe rep took one look at the issue, and before i could make my case for a repair job, he said, "That shouldn't happen," and the Company completely redid the affected area at no cost. The 120-year-old house looks like new.

Working with Smythe provided us the confidence and resources needed to bring an old house back to what we had envisioned for it. Consultative and professional and very easy to work wirh. Made sure we were fully satisfied at the end of the job. Highly recommended!

Smyth Painting is a first class company. They painted the exterior of our home. The crew showed up everyday at 7:30 AM and left at 4:00 PM and finished the job in the exact estimated number of days. They kept a very clean job site, moving flower pots and patio furniture back each evening before they left. I would definitely use Smyth again!!

Kenny and Sean were a “team supreme”!! I was dreading the indoor painting, but it was so much easier and a better experience than anticipated. They arrived every day promptly at 7:30, listened to and addressed every issue. From power washing to sanding and repair - all prep work was meticulously done. Without a doubt, the end result is the very best exterior paint job with attention paid to every square inch! Doug and his staff are friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable and completed the job on time and on budget. We've received many unsolicited compliments from neighbors and friends. We had a painter sent to our address to paint the potting shed and trim on a small shed. John was neat efficient and very professional. The potting shed had not been painted in 30 years or longer, we are so pleased with his work.

I was extremely impressed by the job performed by Smyth Painting. The sprayed white paint finish on my cabinets is unbelievably hard. Dried tomato sauce just washes right off. The young men were very polite and thorough. Friendly with excellent service. What more can you ask for. Reasonable price as well.

We had the entire exterior of our home (including shed and decks) cleaned, painted or stained by Smyth this past month. The company was recommended by our contractor after the solo painter we have used in the past finally agreed he didn't have the bandwidth or sufficient help to take on such a large job. I was impressed from the first encounter with the office staff to set up the appointment for the estimate. Doug arrived promptly at the agree-upon time, and forwarded the estimate within several days. He stayed in touch about scheduling (he had originally estimated a start date in 6 weeks) and even ended up offering to start the job two weeks early. Kenny (our job foreman), Sean, and the rest of the crew were terrific. Showed up when they said they would, always let us know what would be happening each day, cleaned up the job site, and were professional and courteous. Kenny walked the job with me afterwards and took care of everything on the punchlist quickly. Our 14-year old house looks brand new again - thanks for everything, SPC!

This is the second project with Smyth Painting. It is a very professional organization from management, office staff and painters. Byron and his staff did a great job. Window treatments and furniture were removed and replaced perfectly, and the paint job is excellent. They were all wry accommodating with my schedule!

Smyth Painting Company helped us redo our kitchen this year. Doug Smyth went out of his way to make sure every aspect of the work was done right. They kept in good contact with us throughout the process and always came when they said they would.
Also Kenny the painting foreman was always there with the painting crew on time. They were great to have around and Kenny saw to it that everything was done as planned, and done efficiently, and he kept us informed of the progress.
All in all, an excellent company. I highly recommend them.

Very pleased with a whole-house interior paint/restoration project (wallpaper removal, patching, skim coating, ceiling, wall, door painting, 95 year-old windows...). Byron and Jeremy were six days a week for four weeks to make sure everything was done to our expectations with Doug available at all times to ensure we were completely satisfied.

Top Notch Painting Company, Timely Appt for a walkthrough to get an estimate. When Doug was discussing the job, you can tell he's concerned with the customers needs. Painters arrived as scheduled, reviewed the job with me and went to work. They were very clean, courteous and answered all my questions. Job was completed on time. There was no rush to look over the area painted for touch ups or clean ups(there was none). Painters returned in a few days to walkthrough the completed job and leave me some of each paint used for my future use. I've used many contractors over the years with my rental properties. Smyth Painting is one of the best I've ever dealt with and I will use them again.

Smyth Painting did a great job sanding and painting all the trim at Silveira School. They cleaned up all areas to perfection. Also took full responsibility and held to their warranty, by repainting a section done last year which was beginning to chip. I would highly recommend them.

We just used Smyth Painting Co in the office for a build out/expansion & over the years we have hired them to do many jobs for us from big to small. In my experience, they have always provided skilled painters & courteous employees, excellent communication and follow up...from the beginning through the completion of all jobs. Stays on cost, very prompt, always produces quality work, clean during & after work, and detailed. I would definitely recommend and use again.

I just had them fired. They were to prep the ceiling after it was plastered (minor mudding and sanding the entire ceiling smooth). They never used drop cloths to keep the dust from spreading throughout the kitchen counters, or through the rest of the house. Their sanding performance is the worst ever. Lumps, deep sanded grooves, a complete abomination. Amateurs would have done better. Worst of all this is the second chance after they screwed it up the first time and the plasterer had to come back and replaster the ceiling to fix their earlier mistakes. Now I must have the plasterer come back to see what can he salvage. If the ceiling needs to be torn down and start from scratch, I suspect my insurance company will seek restitution as this was an insurance repair for a toilet failure upstairs. And I now need to hire a cleaning team to clean all the dust that permeated the entire house. They may be able to paint, but never "ever" have them prep the room for painting.

We have used Smyth Painting for various interior and exterior projects over many years. They are always professional, timely and do a great job cleaning up after the job.The results are excellent. We are very happy with their services and highly recommend them.
