Had a really great experience with A1. Always there whenever we call and have done several jobs for us, replacing our porch, putting in a new Velux Solar skylight, replacing our roof, fixing a leak and rotting wood on our house. Sean's workmanship is always exceptional.

I have used A1 roofing for multiple roofing projects for both new and replacement roofs, they did a great job on installing gutters on a very tall house with lots of twists and turns, and I have rented more dumpsters from them than I care to recall. A day and a half to complete my complex large roof. Work was complete conscientious and clean up was impeccable. I am impressed with the great quality work that was done. Price was very fair. I would recommend A1 without any reservation.

Poor customer service. Had 2 older men arrive to provide me with an estimate and asked then to wait for the insurance adjuster as he was on his way and they did not. Just drove off and didn't even tell me they were leaving. It was the easiest $15k they could've made if they were more courteous.

I rarely write Google reviews, but a recent experience with Sean caused me to write this one. I have been doing some work on my second story windows and I realized I needed to match some roof shingles. Sean and his team had done an awesome job about eight years ago putting on a new roof, but I didn’t have any leftover shingles. I called the office and Sean actually answered the phone! He remembered me right away, pulled up my file and offered to meet me down at his construction yard that afternoon to get me some matching roof shingles. I met him and he gave me a bundle of shingles and said “no charge”. That’s just the kind of guy he is. Sean and his team have always provided me with excellent, quality work at a very fair price. But his professionalism and attention to customers Is what sets him apart! I highly recommend A1!

Enjoyed working with A-1 in updating our lobby. It was a lot of work replacing the drop-ceiling and florescent lighting with a hard ceiling and LED lights. However, it was worth it. The space feels more inviting.

Owner Sean introduced the 4 person crew, and I stayed to assure that historic peices were not accidently tossed, also the crew kindly allowed me to add items to the removal list. The 4 guys were kind of serious about cleaning from top to bottom and I wisely stayed out of their way ! Barry, the plumbing professional replaced the dead sump pump and advised me on operating and maintaining the large dehumidifier they installed last year. When the men packed up to leave, I walked around, the cleanup exceeded our expectations. A1 gave an estimate to remove two chimneys from the interior of a three-family home. I requested an estimate online and was followed up with Sean coming out to walk through the project and make sure we were all on the same page.
Once we accepted his estimate the work was scheduled with a week or two to start the job.
The work was done professionally, and care was taken to make sure there was no damage to any of the existing structure.
After the work was completed, everything was cleaned up great and they left it in a good state.

A1 has also done many projects in our condo complex and will continue to use them for my personal projects going forward.

We had a great experience with A-1 after a storm did some minor damage to our roof which caused water to leak through a light fixture. Sean went out of his way to make sure the roof was fixed before it rained again! Taylor in the office was also very kind and patient with my many phone calls. Would call again!

I needed a roof inspection for insurance purposes. A call to A-1 was promptly and professionally answered as I explained what was needed. Sean returned my call within 24 hours and set up an appointment for the next day. The appointment was on time and Sean explained he would prepare a report that would be emailed the next morning. Report was received as promised and service was great! I will certainly refer others, and will be back for additional services as needed!

Excellent service, an internal pluming project resulted in an accidental hole in our roof. A1 was contacted and from the receipt of the first call their service was exceptional. An estimator and drone operator, Marcus was sent to my residence the same day. His care, knowledge, and skill were immediately evident especially by my son watching his use of a drone to survey the damage. The expedient proposal was returned the next morning and work was completed that day; within 24 hours of the issue being recognized. We use A1 almost exclusively for our dumpsters at job sites. They are always quick to respond and take the time to put down boards so the surfaces aren't marked by the wheels/feet. We are an emergency service company so time doesn't always allow us to be proactive when needing a dumpster. Paul is always friendly and professional.

I had a need to replace 2 skylights that were old and starting to leak. Not a large job by roofing project standards, but beyond my home upkeep skills and abilities. Any homeowner in this area knows that trying to get a local contractor to respond and show up to perform a small job can be frustrating. Sure enough, after calling 3 or 4 local guys, only one responded for an estimate and a promise to do the work. I never heard from him again even after reaching out multiple times. On a rare visit to Newport, I drove past A1 Roofing and Construction some 15 miles away from my home. I thought they were probably too large or too far away to respond to my small project but I contacted them anyway. Boy, was I wrong! Sean called back, not two weeks later, but immediately, and then, showed up at my door a couple days later. He looked at the job and the next day I had a written proposal, emailed to me, that detailed intended work, materials, and price. I contacted the office and gave them the greenlight and a deposit. A week later they had all the materials in, made arrangements to install, and completed the job in about 3 hours. The crew on site were courteous and efficient. They did an expert install and thorough clean up. Business owner Sean showed up at the end which demonstrated pride in workmanship and customer care. He even committed to return and perform some inside skylight trim work as part of the job – which he was not obligated to do. Going above and beyond to provide the highest customer service, Sean and A1 Roofing confirmed their place as a trustworthy “Best in Breed” service provider. Many thanks to Atillio and the office staff. A1 was responsive, professional, personable, provided a very fair and reasonable price, and followed through with what was promised. I was impressed. A previous "Certainteed" roof was installed by A-1 Roofing that has held up well over the last 10+ years. Recently, another building required reroofing. I didn't have to think twice about using A-1 Roofing again. Timely personable service, professional craftsmanship, using top-tier products at a competitive price. Definitely commend Sean, staff, and crew for a job well done on my new roof. A local business with a rock solid reputation for customer satisfaction.

We recently had A1 redo a portion of the roof on our building in Newport. The project was complicated by the need to re-pitch 38' of gutter, address where the roof transitioned from asphalt shingles to slate - to include along the sides of 2 dormers - , the flashing around the base of a chimney and the replacement of 4 large skylights. Sean provided a very accurate estimate for the project which was particularly helpful with respect to budgeting by the multiple owners. His crew was prompt and did a terrific job - to include a significant amount of copper flashing and a custom copper insert to re-pitch the gutter. They were solicitous of owner preferences with regard to the location and run of the re-pitched gutter's downspouts as well as other details of the project. They meticulously cleaned up at the end of each day and at the end of the project which was greatly appreciated! We would not hesitate to have Sean and A1 take care of future roofing needs.

Had some gutter issues on a one-story office/retail building with no access to the area in question without the cooperation of the abutting property owner, which was granted. Conditions however were that the work, which included scaling a stone wall with ladders to bring in supplies, had to be done on a certain day and within a certain time frame. A1 assured me they would meet all the abutter's conditions - and A1 did so.

Regarding the work in particular, the suggestions A1 gave me were quite helpful and to top it off, the quality of the completed project exceeded my expectations.

The bottom line is that Sean Napolitano gave me meaningful suggestions, said what he would do and DID what he said he would do, all within the given time restrictions. Excellent service and excellent work means A1 Roofing has my unequivocal recommendation.

A1 Roofing was a pleasure to work with and schedule around other trades to work hand in hand together with Elco painting along with the Carpenters and custom copper work that done by A1 .Also this was not your Typical job but a church Steeple at Holy cross Church 1439 west road Middletown. Job site was kept extremely clean, they worked not only with Elco painting and the other trades but around church schedules. The Steeple job is a very time consuming and intricate job with many steps that need to be thought out along the way. We are extremely happy with the way the job turned out and would work with them again.

We had a roof put on by A1 roofing and they did an amazing job!! We have a ranch type house and they had to replace about 25 sheets of plywood due to rot. I never thought they would complete the job in one day….. well they did!! Late that afternoon when I came home from work at 3 the roof was still open..I figured they would have to come back the next day….left for a few hours and came back to a complete job. Our property was cleaned up like nothing happened but a beautiful new roof… Sean also had the chimney pointed and a custom cap made as well!!!
