Slim and Trim Construction / STC Roofing

Slim & Trim replaced nine windows, two sliding glass doors, and front door - in addition to full siding on my 40 year old house. They showed up, ready to work, when they said they’d be there (sometimes a few minutes early), worked carefully and thoroughly and finished the job in the estimated time frame. I worked out of the house during the entire project and during that time never heard any of the crew cuss or complain about their jobs (a rarity these days.) When there was an obstacle, their discussions focused on a plan to solve the problem and get the job done. All of the crew were friendly , professional, and approachable. We’re really excited about the new look this old house has and I highly recommend Slim & Trim for any renovation work that you need done.

Slim and Trim installed our new roof in 2018 so when I noticed was eave falling off due to high wind, I called Thomas who within 24 hours had Sawyer come over and nail it back on. Sawyer was courteous and was able to remedy the situation. I would recommend Slim and Trim for your roofing needs.

We had a great experience with Slim and Trim! They were kind enough to help us with a small job that we just couldn't do ourselves, even though I'm sure it was much too small to be worth their time. Riley did a great job when my insurance adjuster was inspecting my roof for hail damage. He pointed out the damage that the hail caused. We had confidence in Slim and Trim that they did the roof when we were out of town. Riley kept us posted on the status of the roof by calling and sending us photos. Great Job!

Having work done on your home is extremely stressful, at least for me. All the workers in the crew, from the owner, and foreman, to anyone I spoke with listened patiently and either took care of my issues or passed them on and they were all addressed. I had two minor concerns after the work was completed and they were addressed in a very timely manner. As Thomas, the owner, had mentioned, they like to surprise people with their work. I was very pleasantly surprised! I have never worked with a company before that really cares about the customer. I can say as a very picky homeowner that they went the distance and then some. Ask for Riley Linck-Tollefsbol, He did all the work dealing with our insurance company. They lowballed us at $3200 on the first pass, Riley educated us on the process and how he could get them to do better. He fought for a better resolution and the end result was a complete roof and skylight replacement with very little out of pocket cost. Everything went exactly as he said it would and took all the stress out of the process! GREAT WORK! I strongly recommend.

Slim and Trim’s customer service exceeded my expectations, and these days that tends to be a lost art. It began with a call to the office, speaking with Lynn. Lynn took the time to listen to my concerns, the requirements of the job, and helped get our project going. And all of this with a positive, can-do attitude.

Riley then made contact to visit, look at the scope of the work and provide a quote. Riley communicated well throughout the process, keeping me updated and was also responsive to my follow-up questions. Finally, Sawyer was out to perform the work and complete the job. Sawyer was positive and willing to answer any questions on the day the work was performed.

There are so many roofing companies out there. We found Slim and Trim and from initial inspection to the completion of replacing our storm damaged roof. They were "on top of it".

They left us with our property cleaner than when they started. They protected our plants to the outside furniture.

Our project manager was Riley. He has the energy needed to satisfy the toughest of duties.

FYI, they do more than roofing, siding, and gutters!

Nate did an excellent job of estimating and presenting the roof repair after a hailstorm. He took the time to work with our insurance adjuster and got the whole roof replaced instead of a repair as our insurance company wanted. The crew had the old shingles off and new ones on AND cleaned up in 1 day! We are very happy with Slim and Trim and would certainly recommend them to anyone.

Slim and Trim made the process of getting my roof repaired easy and painless. The job and cost was detailed up-front and there were no "surprises" along the way. The entire experience with Slim and Trim was perfect. Their reps were so easy to work with, and all the work was done beyond any expectations I had. Wonderful company! We had our roof and siding redone, and got gutters installed on our house. They the whole process was about a month start to finish. They came out multiple times after each step to make sure we were happy with the finished product. They also had payment plans to help those who can’t pay all at once. Highly recommend!

Slim and Trim replaced our siding, windows, roof and gutters, and repaired our deck after a bad hail storm. We called them after the storm as we had them look at our roof shortly after we moved in. Thomas, the owner, was very responsive to our questions, showed up when he said he would, personally came by to check on any contractors he used (all of which he uses regularly and was familiar with.) We had a lot of work done and we are pleased with all of it. Thomas also worked well with our insurance company and mortgage company. Additionally, I believe at least 5 of our neighbors also used Slim and Trim and as far as I know, everyone has been pleased. We have recommended Slim and Trim to friends several times as well. It is nice to know if anything needs to be repaired at our house, we know who to call. We know the work will be done well and a good guy is getting our business. It is a pleasure to write a review for this company. Give them a call!

I had a referral from a neighbor who used Slim and Trim. The owner came and did the inspection, communicated with our insurance and informed us when the work would be completed. I was able to plan my work schedule and all went as planned in one day.I would deffinately refer this company to friends and family. Great professional service!

The job was done on time and quickly. Clean up was very good nothing was missed. We were pleased with everything.

They replaced my roof after hail damage. The presale and post sale experience was professional. The crew that came to do the work was fast, courteous, professional. They came in one morning, ripped and replaced the roof in one day! They took away the trailer of old shingles the same day, so there was no garbage or debris left over. Great job! Roof looks great!

Slim & Trim replaced both our roof and siding after a hail storm. They completed the work quickly and the result was great quality. They also helped with our insurance claim and made that very easy.

Slim and Trim Construction’s information was given to us by our old neighbors after we had shared our frustrations with them about the estimates that we had received from two other roofing companies. The other companies were impersonal, terse, and vague about their pricing. Neither of the other companies went up on the roof and one guy didn’t even take any measurements... He just said, “I’ve been doing this for a long time.” Our whole roofing experience turned around after we contacted Thomas at Slim and Trim Construction.

We had a very positive experience from the first phone call all the way through to the final payment being made. Thomas explained everything in detail and was patient talking through all of my questions (I had a lot!). The final product is wonderful (look for yourself). Not only were they easy to talk to, but they were fast! From the first call to the last nail being driven into the roof was just over a week and the gutters were put in just a few days later. They worked with our insurance and really took the stress out of a daunting project. We have already recommended them to our neighbors and wouldn’t hesitate to pass on their card to our friends and family. They absolutely earned 5/5 stars!

I cannot give enough praise to Slim and Trim construction. From the high quality of their work to their excellent communication and ease of doing business and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing work done. They met with us to look at our roof as well as offer their professional opinions on other items we had questions with and always gave us a straight and honest answer. Our project was delayed because of the winter snow but as soon as spring rolled around I received a call to schedule the construction and never had to worry about a lack of follow through. There was also some
unexpected updating to code that had to be done and they worked directly with my insurance company to resolve everything so it didn’t come out of my pocket and still managed to get the project done on schedule. Easy to work with on payment plans and still continue to answer questions as they arise. Great experience with Slim and Trim! In the process of preparing to sell our house, we noticed a few shingles raised up on our roof. Our realtor recommended Slim and Trim, and Randy came out the same day we called and fixed the nail pops at no charge! Then he went above and beyond by going to the local hardware store to get some sealant to make extra sure the shingles stayed in place, AND cleared a roof gutter while he was at it. Definitely recommend Slim and Trim, and we will be repeat customers!

They shingled a house across the street from me. The roof looks good but they left my street littered with garbage! Even my two year old noticed; she pointed out to it and said “garbage.” I assumed they would pick it up but they did not. My two year old and I went out and cleaned it up for them!

Slim and Trim did a fantastic job. Not only were they great to work with, they are very efficient. They began work at 7:00 AM and before 2:00 PM the same day they were completely done. Everything cleaned up and on the road. Roof looks gorgeous.

Had an issue (minor) discovered on the 4th of July and they came THAT DAY! Who does that?!? Workmanship was great, products used first class and clean up exceptional. Have recomended to friends and family already. You will not be disappointed!

Slim and Trim Construction (STC) was easy and fun to work with. Everything was done when they said it would be done and quality was top notch. When hanging my holiday house lights I noticed small details in a number of places. The construction team before STC did not bother with these small details such as water diversion flashing above and beyond Code requirements. Also, I asked for some extra work that I fully expected to pay for. The extra work (sealing off two paths where squirrels had gotten into the sub roof area) was done without charge! I couldn't be happier about STC and would have them back at any time.

Wonderful people to work with! Handled most of the insurance company stuff and everything went exactly as explained. Got a much better shingle than I started with, crew was in and out in one day and cleaned up after themselves.

Slim and Trim did an awesome job at replacing the shingles on our roof & garage. We had hail damage from last year. This is the first time I've had to file a claim with my home insurance provider, but Slim and Trim was there to walk us through the process and meet with our adjuster.

We had our roof (shingles, skylights, gutters, downspouts, etc.) replaced by Slim and Trim Construction last fall due to hail damage. Slim and Trim handled everything from coordinating with our insurance adjuster, stopping by to discuss various colors and product options with us, scheduling the work, and clean up. The entire crew was easy to work with and they all did high quality work - even addressing specific details and helping flash some additional doors as requested. We would definitely work with Slim and Trim again in the future!

We are more than pleased with Slim and Trim Construction. They did an excellent job on our roof replacement and interior painting last autumn. Thomas was the main project manager but the entire team participated at various stages of the process. From start to finish with our insurance company they took care of it all. When the team showed up to start the work it was done very efficiently and everything was cleaned up nicely. The house looks great with the new roof and our ceiling is pristine. A hard-working and dedicated group we will certainly call should we need work done again.
