So happy with the job Slate and Slate did on our roof. We recently had a crazy ice storm that left us with 6 holes, and decided we wanted a full new roof. The job they did is beautiful! Crazy how a new roof can make an old house look brand new. The crew was super nice and professional and they cleaned up everything perfectly. If anyone I know ever needs a new roof, I will be recommending Slate and Slate!

They did a concrete job for us at our home last spring. We had a very small project that took 8 weeks to be completed. Trying to depend on them to show up when we were told they would be here was next to impossible without several phone calls. If they don’t have the time or interest in the job... they shouldn’t take the job! The quality of work is there, but punctuality is not. Very frustrating to work with this company. Job cleanup was poor as well. I will not recommend them, at least for small jobs.

Slate and Slate Roofing installed a new roof on our home in August of 2017. We are very pleased with the finished product. Steve Christianson, the Foreman, took the time to explain each step of the job, so we knew what to expect; it was a pleasure doing business with him. His crew of roofers were extremely polite and professional. After the tear off of our old roof, they did a very thorough clean up job all around the perimeter of our house, and in our yard. They did such a good job cleaning up, that we think it looked cleaner than before they started the job! Overall, Slate and Slate Roofing did a top notch job, and we would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs a new roof!

Slate and Slate roofing have done several projects for my customers and on my personal house. They have some of the best installers out there. The communication on the projects with the customers is very professional and they fix any unforeseen conditions and not just cover them up so they can get to the next project.

I had Slate and Slate install a new roof for a house I own. I appreciated their focus on the ventilation issues I was facing on this older 1050's house. They recommended a great solution for this and it looks great! I feel they used the best materials and installation techniques. I am a home inspector and see hundreds of roofs a year and so I can appreciate a job well done and the many details which make up a quality roof installation. They were able to get on the job quickly, were efficient, cleaned up after themselves and the newer gutters I had wanted to save were not damaged at all! I am very satisfied with their work and have recommended them since this time.

Steve from Slate & Slate Roofing answered our frantic call late on a Saturday night when our roof started leaking due to the heavier than usual winter we’ve been having here in Salem this year. Within a couple of hours, he was at our house and fixing our leak. Needless to say, we hired them to replace our roof a few weeks later. Our roof looks great, we are seeing some savings on our energy bills (as promised), and all in all, we were very happy with the service we received. Thank you again, Steve!

I came home at lunch one rainy day to find water dripping out of my bathroom ceiling fan. On a recommendation from a friend, I called Slate & Slate roofing. Terry Slate was wonderful. He came out that same day and gave me a bid with multiple options to fit my budget. Within a week, I had a brand new roof. From start to finish, communication was great. If I had a question, Terry did a great job explaining the process, and collaborated with me to find solutions for my specific requests. Their team was fantastic - very professional, respectful, and punctual. They are top notch roofers, and when the day was done, they left the job site just as clean as they found it. Slate Roofing just finished my roof and I couldn't be happier. I of course was a little skeptical at first of hiring a roofer. Heard about those bad roof people that are out there. Terry from Slate Roofing made all of those worries go away. They worked 10 hours a day and finished in two a half days. Even with a little rain it didn't slow them down. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and were very professional all along the way. I would recommend them as your one stop roofer. Slate & Slate Roofing was very professional from start to finish. They gave us a start date and they were here and finished the project within the time they stated. They cleaned up after themselves and left the property clean. We are very happy with the final product. We would highly recommend them for performing any roofing project.

We needed a concrete pad poured beside our driveway for parking our new trailer. Slate and Slate was very quick to respond to our request for a quote (very competitive) and was able to get on the project quickly. The crew were professional, conscientious, and communicated well with us regarding how the work would be done, timelines, and all details related to the work. The crew took pride in their work, were extremely punctual, and cleaned everything up when finished. After the work was done we received calls to check up and make sure that we were pleased with the work. The finished project looks great! I really can't imagine having a better work experience with anybody else. I highly recommend Slate and Slate and will return to them for any other projects we have in the future.

Slate and slate construction, led by Steve Christiansen, has poured concrete for us twice, the first time last year after another contractor created a disaster that had to be removed. They are the most enjoyable crew to work with, do excellent work, do it timely, and professionally, and are reasonably priced. This year we had them come back and add another 16 x 10.5 extension to the patio. Again they were timely, friendly, professional and take the time to protect the property as they work. I would definitely recommend them for any concrete you need big or small. The stamping is beautiful! Thanks Slate and Slate, and Steve for another fine job! I would have you come again, but I am out of area to concrete, so I will refer you to anyone that needs concrete!

my father needed some holes patched on his roof even tho most companies turned him down these guys did it and business was done on a hand shake. And business was done in a timely manor and the estimate was a estimate me and my father are very satisfied.
