I have had a great experience with Slade Roofing. I had them put on a new roof about 8 years ago and they did a great job. There was an issue with the vent boots a couple of years later and they jumped right on it and replaced them with no charge to me. While doing that they noticed that the shingles didn't look quite right to them as far as how much they had aged, compared to how old they actually were. They went to bat with the manufacturer and it took a while but they just replaced the whole roof this week, at no cost to me because the manufacturer stood by their warranty. Slade has been great to work with. Very attentive to my needs and very prompt to act on commitments. I have worked with several employees of Slade but Justin Cook has been my primary contact and he has been great. I trust Slade Roofing to do what they say they will do and then go a great job of it. Slade roofing did an excellent job on the roof replacement of my parents home. Their bid was the most competitive and offered the best quality of materials. Justin was great on the initial roof inspection and provided a detailed estimate along with drone photos of the roof. Within just a couple of days, they were at the home to replace the roof. They worked from sun up until 8:30 pm to complete it. Forest was on the job and provided oversight and direction to the workers as well as keeping me and my parents informed throughout the job. I have had roofs replaced before but never to the extent that Slade Roofing provided. They went above and beyond what I expected. These guys are the best I have worked with and I would recommend them to anyone needing a roof replaced.

We had a leaky roof in a house we use as an Airbnb. Slade was able to get us a next-day quote, and they were able to do the work within a couple days after that. They respected the schedule we had to keep for clients, and made sure the roof and the yard were immaculate before our next set of guests arrived.

They use top-quality, impact-rated, environmentally-conscious shingles. The project manager was on-site almost the entire time. He was courteous and was always great at communicating, keeping me in the loop even when I wasn't there.

The real kicker is that with top-quality materials, fast service, and great communication, they still managed to beat the other bids we had! You don't usually get all that and get it cheap, too.

I would not hesitate to recommend Slade Roofing to anybody.

Finding good companies for service work in our area became very difficult, and sometimes impossible, following the large influx of folks during and after the pandemic. Slade is one of the excellent ones whose reputation will continue to grow as time goes on. Why should you give Slade the opportunity to do your roof?

First - They respond very quickly to service requests. They did the onsite visit, determined the scope of the task, generated and sent the bid well before any other contractor. I then waited a week for others to respond to the service request. Crickets. Nobody called. These guys from Eastern Idaho, want your business.

Second - The crew does one house from start to finish, before starting another. They use weather forecasts to avoid rain events during the job. Our project was delayed into the next week for forecast rain. It rained and hailed that day. I can't express how grateful I am that my roof decking wasn't exposed to all that. Thank you Slade.

Third - Timeliness. The materials were delivered when Slade said they would. the crew showed up at the promised time. We live 2 hours away from their business. They said it would take 1 day. It took 1 day.

Fourth - They treat your property like it is their own. Better in fact. The crew kept the work site organized. They cleaned up debris periodically throughout the day. They repaired the floodlight damaged during roof demo (the only damage during the project). It took maybe 45 minutes to finish cleanup after the last shingle was secured.

I can't say enough about Slade's business plan and execution. I'm very satisfied with their entire production. I don't expect to need a new roof for a very long time, if ever, but if I do, they get the call.

Forest was an excellent project manager. We paid half down to the company and by that night they had supplies delivered to our roof. By 7 am the next morning they had a crew on the roof stripping shingles. By noon they had the roof cleaned off. They had our roof completely finished and all of the area around the house cleaned up by 7:30 pm the same day. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their roof done.

They worked in the cold and the rain and did our whole house in less than 12 hours...AND they cleaned up the whole yard with shingle mess and what the wind blew against our fence. We are very pleased with the roofing work done by Slade Roofing. From the very beginning the managers we met, Nick and Forrestt, were helpful without being pushy. Nick gave us routes to drive in Idaho Falls and Rexburg to observe different shingle colors. Very helpful. Once we decided to proceed, the shingles arrived on Wednesday and the crew arrived early Thursday morning. Forrestt, the project manager, arrived before the crew and we reviewed with him problems we have with our current roof. He informed the crew and the problems were corrected with the new roof. The work began about 8:00am and was completely finished by about 8:00 pm. The work was professionally done in every detail. Cleanup afterwards was complete. Forrestt spoke with us frequently during the day to be sure we were pleased with the work, then did a walkthrough with us when the job was finished. He is a kind gentleman who wants to be sure a job is done to the owner’s satisfaction. We are pleased.

TL;DR – The entire experience was exceptional; I could not find ANYTHING to complain about!
This is going to be a long review, but if you are seriously exploring roofing companies, this is the review you are going to want to read.
Back in 2018, a very large roofing company that shall not be named (not Slade Roofing), used a contest entry marketing tactic to get into my home and give me a free “inspection” of our roof, in which their “professional” opinion determined that my attic did not have proper ventilation and thus my shingles were ruined and I needed a completely new 25 year GAF roofing system in the tune of what was at the time $25k. I didn't know anything about roofing and yet they were immediately pushing a contract at me and expecting me to sign it on the spot as this great “deal” was only good if I were to sign it right then and there. Long story short, I told them I needed time and showed them the door.
With such a scare that my roof was about to completely collapse on top of me at any moment, I sought a second opinion from Slade Roofing. The owner personally met with me and informed me that my roof was completely fine and had no problems whatsoever. Not only that, he gave me a demonstration to show me the superiority of the Malarkey shingles over the GAF ones, and then told me that if I had needed my shingles replaced, that he could have done it with a 50 year shingle, and at more than half of the cost of what the other company quoted us!
The “crisis” was averted and being that I didn't need a roof, that was where we left it. Fast forward to the present. My family is building a new home and we needed a roof system put on it. I was worried where Slade Roofing is such a large company that their prices would be out of our budget, so I didn't even want to waste their time by getting a quote from them and instead quoted from several other smaller companies and contractors in the area. Being that I was sold on Malarkey shingles, I found a general contractor that would be willing to install them on our roof for us and we decided to move forward with that route. When the time came in our build where we were ready to have them installed, this general contractor we had chosen was unable to install the shingles and informed us they were delayed by at least a couple of weeks. Now, I do not fault this company as I understand in the world of construction that things do come up, but when we have other sub contractors that are already scheduled and depend on things being on time, this was going to throw a wrench in to a lot of other people's schedules as well.
That being the case, I decided to reach out to Slade Roofing just to see how far out their scheduling was and to see if we could make it work with our limited budget. For time frame reference, I spoke with them on a Tuesday and they were able to get on site and get the roof done on Thursday of that same week, and it was all done in just 1 day! I'm not saying they will always be able to make things happen that quickly, but dang that was fast! As for the budget, I will admit that they were not as cheap as our original general contractor quote, however, the price difference was not astronomically more expensive either (speaking of astronomical price differences, in my initial process of getting roof quotes for building our house I inadvertently received a quote from that same large company that I had dealings with in 2018. A person reached out to us asking to give us a roofing quote and did not tell us their affiliation until AFTER we'd given them our information. That quote price was MORE THAN FOUR TIMES more expensive than Slade Roofing!).

First rate operation Jason and his crew were great he even referred us to to roofing supplier in salt lake to help us chose a color. They even gave us some sample boards to keep. They started early and did a great job They left the job site spotless.

The roof looks amazing!!!! The only complaint I have is that now I have to redo my siding because the roof makes the rest of my home look old. Easy to work with and I LOVE the malarkey shingles, the way they look and the additional protection. they were able to get out quick and the job was done quick and efficiently. I got the malarkey vista and my roof definitely stands out.

Professional and knowledgeable crews. From initial inspection of my roof til the last nail was magnetically retrieved from the lawn. Located an issue within my attic crawl space and helped me find a solution to the problem. They provided pictures and drone footage before and upon request sent the during and after as well. I had trouble with my roof leaking in my windows and had a few people look at it. They didnt think it was the roof for sure. I called Slade Roofing and they come out and they werent sure either because the roof didnt look bad. Refered me to another person and he said unless you get under the roof to see he could go around and fix a couple of places but couldnt guarntee it still wouldnt leak. I had window company come out to look also that Slade Roofing referred me to. They said it wasnt coming from the windows. So I called Justin from Slade Roofing back and told him lets do a new roof. He was great to work with and sent me information on ice dams and information on roofs, colors to pick. They come out and did a great job. Johnathan the supervisor said it needed to be replaced. There was only one row of the ice shield and none in the valleys. He explained everything to me and also found all my air vents were not where they were suppose to be. They changed them and Im so excited I had them come out and help me. They were awesome and the roof is so much better. I would highly suggest them to any one looking for a roof replacement. Justin came out and got our bid done in a timely manner and they had my roof completed less than a week after receiving my deposit for materials. Slade Roofing kept us informed every step of the way. They came out immediately and gave us a detailed estimate and recommendations. They were willing to work with us to repair our roof to hold us over until spring, but we got our ducks in a row and were able to get the roof replaced before winter. Looks great. They did a great job picking up all the nails too.

After a year of working with our insurance carrier and having several assessments and quotes done, we opted to work with Justin and the Slade team for our roof replacement. While our insurance provider was less than helpful, Justin and the Slade team more for made up in their professionalism and consultative approach. We opted for an entire new roof due to leaks and ice damage. The Slade team not only installed the replacement roof quickly, they kept the job site clean and us informed throughout the process. After several seasons of storm damage, Jonathan, the site leader and his team of roofing experts were truly like great neighbor; not just a jingle from an uncooperative, apathetical and unresponsive insurance carrier.

Reached out by website to get a roof inspection because my insurance says my 20-yr old roof is too old. Got contacted same day and inspection the next day. Justin gave us good news - our roof is good for another 5 years at least! He gave us a report we can send to insurance. Easy to do business with and professional!
