We had a clogged drain and was on very tight timeline. Within 1 hour they were here to work on our issue. It was not an easy clog to clear but Doug stuck with it and got us taken care of. He keeps things clean and is very aware of making sure to clean any drops and mess. They have a tracking device so you can tell exactly where they are at. We would recommend Doug for your plumbing issues.

Robert came out twice as my well problems changed (he diagnosed it correctly both times, my system literally broke twice) and never put any pressure on me to spend money and really explained the next best steps. Really appreciate the timeliness, expertise, and professionalism. Well done indeed

We made an appointment with them to unclog a backed up drain pipe.The guy showed up, worked for an hour, then said he would have to come back Tuesday because he didn’t have the right equipment for the job. I would think they would be prepared for the job when they arrived. He still charged us $250, even though our pipe was still clogged. This was on a Friday, and naturally we couldn’t have our toilets, showers, washing machine, etc. backing up into the basement all weekend. After he left, we called Roto Rooter. They showed up a couple of hours later, and had our pipe unclogged in about 30 minutes, and they charged us $225. I wish I would’ve called Roto Rooter first. It seems shady that D R charged us even though they didn’t fix the problem. At least we can let our friends and family know.

Very easy to work with. As an apartment manager I like how prompt and how update friendly they are. They've always been professional and very kind. Will work with them again and again

Knowledgeable and fast service in a emergency water situation. I've used them many times. This is the first time Robert was my technician. He did a great job for me.

DR installed a heat pump/furnace/humidifier system in my home and it works great! I felt like I was their most important customer. They showed up as expected, kept me in the loop, listened well, adapted when necessary, and delivered on time for the agreed price. I 100% recommend them.

We've (our construction/remodel company) has been referring DR Heating and Plumbing (who we called by their old name Doug's Repair) to our customers based off of our other client's experiences and work we had seen them do when onsite for other work. They appeared to be excellent and had what we considered good pricing.
Now, I myself have personally used their services and I think Victor (our technician) was fantastic. Furnace was fixed, I was educated, and the price was very appropriate (I would argue good even). This is the kind of company you call again and again. He never sold me on anything (I'm aware it is old and will need replaced some day) but for now it performs and performs well. It became apparent that Victor is quite skilled and knowledgeable and that translated to a job well done.
Strongly recommend DR H&P and Victor in particular. I will use them as a yearly maintenance/check service and any other service that comes up as well as any upgrades I want (like AC I stalled).
Was on time and effecient too (good with my dogs) and clean.

Victor was very timely in his arrival to do a service on our furnace/air conditioner. We need a new coil to prevent water leaking through the heat exchange and rusting it out. He got a quote for us quickly and we were able to make an informed decision as he explained everything very well. He was professional, kind, courteous and polite. We would highly recommend DR Heating and Plumbing.

I was really happy with DR Heating and Plumbing. They were efficient, friendly and got me in quickly. Victor serviced our gas fireplace and went straight to work and done in a timely manner.

I had an urgent situation with a pipe breaking. The DR Heating and Plumbing team was fantastic. They were responsive and provided excellent service, everyone from Tyler (who took my call), and Diego and Dillon who performed service call. They were all friendly and quick to respond. I’d recommend DR Heating and Plumbing to anyone.

DR Plumbing and Heating sent a technician out who only took a picture, chatted for a few minutes, then left. He did NO SERVICE, and did not give an estimate of what we were asking about. FIVE MONTHS LATER, they send me an overcharged bill claiming the plumber was at my house for an hour and a half. When asked about it, the woman in accounting claimed to have GPS proof, but continues to not provide it to me. She continues to send me the exact same invoice despite me asking for a fully itemized invoice. They are currently threatening to sue me in small claims and put a lien on my house if I don't pay their bill ($210). I requested to talk to someone above the woman in accounting (she said she is the office manager), and they have yet to get back to me from a person higher up. Additionally, they record you while you are on hold, so beware of that. They are swindlers and I'd give them zero stars if that was possible.

The tech listened to my issue, answered all my questions, and explained things in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. He was neat, efficient, cleaned up afterward, and was pleasant to work with.

Very happy with our furnace service. Travis came out on time, went right to work, informed us of the diagnosis and his progress. He really was eager to do a solid job, and was polite, professional, smart, and honest. We'd definitely have him come back in the future, and would gladly recommend DR to our neighbors.

I had an excellent experience with this company, with many interractions in relation to HVAC install and plumbing. They were very professional, very reasonable with the HVAC install pricing and I will do business with them again.

TLDR? Run.

Ever read one of those choose your own adventure books? Working with DR is like that. Except throw logic and humanity out the window. Choose the worst option at every opportunity. We went through three estimators over months to get a correct estimate (each quit after issuing the initial estimate and our correspondence ended up in a black hole until I'd call and start the process all over again). After paying our deposit, it took three months to get on the schedule after constantly following-up. Once they started it took two months to finish the job... they were on site exactly three days of those two months. But don't worry, they sent a final invoice and demanded payment in full ahead of finishing the job; threatening a mechanic's lien - which they can't do anyway because this "licensed and insured" contractor never pulled a permit. Oh, and the electrical requirements they requested ahead of them installing the equipment? They were wrong and they refused to do anything about it until I involved the manufacturer. Within a month the new system wasn't functioning. They found excuses to never make it out to investigate. Fed up we called another contractor to fix their leaky system for an additional $2k. But it was all fine because they showed zero empathy, never admitted fault, and offered no apologies. Trust me - this is one choose your own adventure book not worth reading. Run.

Robert was fas, friendly and professional while replacing our water heater. He answered all of my questions and happily took the time to explain why the heater had failed.

I had two other heating companies quote me a simple repair for double the cost of DR. One company told me that my whole furnace was unsafe and should not be used. They tried scare tactics to tell me I needed to buy a new furnace. Victor with DR was knew his stuff, didn't sell me anything I didn't need, fixed my problem, and checked everything out to make sure it was functioning properly and safely. I felt like I had a fair business transaction with DR, they provided a service at a reasonable rate. the other companies were all about up-selling and trying to get you to buy a new furnace.

Arrived well within the time frame (arrived 8:28 in a window of 8 to 10 am). Explained what he (Victor) was doing including a safety check. I am very pleased with the work done.

Read the negative reviews, there's a pattern. We had DR heating work with our homeowners insurance to replace our heater as it was unsafe to use in the home we purchased. At the same time we asked that they replace the a/c as there should have been less labor charge since the heater was already out. We had to call and ask to be scheduled for the heater. It sat in their warehouse for over 4 weeks. When they came to replace it at 5 pm after tear out they notified us they didn't have the lp conversion kit and just now realized they needed it as it was propane, they said they'd be back tomorrow to finish it. Side note, tear out of the a/c is 10ft from a 1000 gallon propane tank. The next day, no one had the part, it had to be overnighted from Ogden. Long story short we went the full days without heat in 10-15 degree weather. They could have drove to Ogden and back quicker than shipping. We bought two space heaters, they brought in 3, that barely kept the house at 55 with our fireplace. It doubled our power costs while we ran those. We work from home, so there was no relief from the cold. DRs office manager Misty showed no empathy, no apologies, and no discounts for the trouble. She blamed the technician, the technician blamed the office. No accountability for the fact had they checked to make sure they had the parts for the job in the 4-6 weeks they had, the job could have been 100% more successful. While they did provide me a breakout on the $2000 in labor for the ac install I have no way of knowing if they disconnect that because half the work was done on the heater removal. DR or Misty didn't even call with their outcome or decision of no discount. They sent it through email. I will not recommend or use DR in the future.

We had the BEST experience with DR Heating and Plumbing! Morgan, the technician, went above and beyond for us. Not only showing up on time, even when I gave the incorrect address, but being so polite and friendly. We had an issue with the water heater we provided and instead of giving us grief he figured our a way to FIX IT so that there could be hot water ASAP. He stayed until 8pm, well past his end time, to make sure everything worked. I will recommend DR Heating and Plumbing to everyone, especially if they have more techs like Morgan!

My water heater was dying about a month ago. The pilot light wouldn't stay lit, and eventually wouldn't light at all. I called around and DR was able to see me the same day.
They diagnosed the problem, and recommended a replacement. They were able to replace the unit the same day, and I felt the price was fair.
As it turns out, the unit shipped from the manufacturer with a faulty part. Things were running great until the gas company had to shut off my gas for a meter replacement. I called DR, and they came out and replaced the faulty part. They make the whole process very easy and very transparent when it comes to cost and any needed upgrades.

This place is by the far the worst experience I’ve ever had with any hvac company in 10 years. They don’t even keep track of when parts come in, don’t follow up with customers (after paying for everything) and can’t even take responsibility. Claim to know more about appraisals and housing markets than someone who does it for a living. Idc if they’re the cheapest company around, I’d pay triple for a better customer experience. Just trust me everyone go with anyone else and thank me later. Writing this review makes me sad cause I was referred by several people, and wouldn’t have even wrote this if they would have done everything in their power to make it up or at least stop making excuses. As someone who runs their own business I could never do something like that to a client

Worst experience with a technician I’ve ever had. He was rude when he came to see what the problem was and so I tried not to talk to him when he came to repair. When he was leaving he was so rude right from the first word out of his mouth. He wouldn’t let me answer him instead turned around and walked toward the door. I even started it with “Sir” so he knew I wasn’t going to be as rude as he was. First, I thought he had had a bad day but a week later almost and same rude behavior. Awful customer service on his part. Just because I wouldn’t want him in my home again I asked my landlord not to use them. I had texted and let her know the first time he was rude. I was shocked at his poor customer service. It’s too bad because we liked the company when it was Doug’s repair a few years ago with air conditioning.

Doug's Repair sent over Ron, to our Office Arthritis Specialty Center to repair several cabinet doors. Ron was fantastic, pleasant, kind, and professional. He came in and got the job done quickly! Doug's repair is so quick we reached out to them yesterday and within 24 hours they had an appointment scheduled with our facility. Thanks Doug's Repair!

I requested a free estimate to install an additional gas line to my kitchen. I was given a good reasonable quote. I ordered these services and agreed to Doug's T&C when I paid my deposit. I was also told I would be on the schedule within a week. I called 1 week later and I was not given a schedule date. I also wasn't given any date of when I can be expected to be on a schedule. I then requested to cancel this order and was told I would could be refunded minus a percentage of my down-payment, in which is "twenty percent (20%) of the contract price" not the deposit. I tried to argue that the T&C's did not apply due to that they could not provide me with a schedule date. However I was still assessed $118.07 for no services rendered, just because my estimate was $750. I would have raved about Doug's Repair customer service it they just applied some common sense to this specific situation. Therefore I only regret that I can not give negative stars.

Can’t comment on their work, they don’t seem willing to actually do any... The first time I called I was told they were too busy and to maybe call back in a couple weeks. I did call back and was put on the schedule to get an in-person estimate a week later. The day of the estimate rolled around and instead of coming, the tech called and asked for photos so he could put the bid together from the office. I sent them over promptly. The next day I sent a follow-up email asking for a guess on when the bid would be ready and was rudely told they could not provide that information because they had other customers’ bids to work on as well. Once the estimate came in, it was more than double what another plumber bid, AND they said it would be 8-10 weeks out to schedule the job. No, thanks. Overall very negative impression of this company’s customer service.

We have used Doug’s repair for several of our home repair and maintenance projects. They are always affordable and do great job! They have installed air conditioning to our existing heating system, maintained our oil furnace, and installed a new pump four our well and all the piping to the surface. I am thoroughly impressed every time we have Doug’s repair do work for us.

I had the plumber Victor, Doug for the softwater. They were great and fast. Explained operation for everything since the house is new to me. Great experience

They fixed my upstairs toilets and finished out a full bathroom and washer and dryer unit in the basement. They stayed with in their original bid, did an awesome job on what we agreed to and let me change my mind a few times too:) The workers were efficient, ontime, cheerful, helpful and a joy to have in my home for a few months. I was able to contact by the phone and found quick solutions from needed schedule changes to all other work concerns I had. I love my new home and have happy memories

Thank you for excellent service 3 years in a row. He warned us last year that our temperature control was going out and it did. He replaced it with a better brand.

Timely repair, but repair still leaked then i get another bill for another part they changed and did not notify me. Called the office they had no clue what was going on .i was told they would call me back after they had info, two days later i get a bill!! All they are is parts changers. They ran new 20 ft water line for my shop did a good job and changed a valve. Charged me 500 dollars and then came to fix it again and charged another 144 dollars!! I do not recomend them!!

My landlord hires Doug's so I can't comment on the price. But if I were paying I'd be using Doug's every time. They're friendly, competent, fast. Highly recommended.

I can’t say enough about Doug’s Repair. Jon came out to replace the blower on my fireplace, only to find it didn’t need replacing. Just fixed. They are trustworthy and that means so much in today’s world.

John did a great job today. He was extremely professional and very honest with us. We will definitely be using Doug’s Repair again and will look to work with John specifically.

My heat went out on a late Sunday afternoon in February. I was really wondering if my children and I were going to have to go to a hotel for the night. Doug’s Repair has emergency service. Jon came out and he was very professional, explained things in terms I could understand and got my furnace up and running quickly. I will call them again!

Jon did an excellent job of getting our newly installed furnace and hot water heater hooked up and functioning at peak performance. Even with a small glitch in the new equipment he was able get everything fixed quickly. He was able to field my questions and help clarify other progress on the project that we were not aware of. This company is great, we have a boiler system for our heating... we called them at 1:00 on a Friday afternoon and Jon was here by 3:00 (we are an hour away from their office) he had our problem diagnosed and fixed by 5:30! Can’t say enough about this company!!! Very nice man, very knowledgeable about our system. Thank you

Doug's repair was great. They were able to schedule us at a good time. Jon did a great job diagnosing the problem with our furnace and easily fixed the problem and took the time to show me what the issue was and educate me a little on our furnace. He was nice, polite, and professional even for an after hours call. I definitely recommend him and doug's repair for your furnace issues. And all for a fair price. Thanks again

WARNING!! DO NOT USE!! I had called them to go repair a clog in my sewer line. I was told it would be over a thousand dollars. Which, I understood, there were roots growing in pipes. So they do the work, left a huge mess and when I told them they left a huge mess to come clean it up, they charged me another $200!! Unreal! Well, not even 2 weeks later, I get a call from tenants stating that the clog is back! Are you kidding me right now? No, this is how incompetent this company is!! When I called them to come back and fix it, they had every excuse in the book. Very dishonest company! Would never use them. I ended up calling a better company who actually fixed the problem and guaranteed their work for 30 days!!

Super fast service. Furness went out yesterday and they were out early and got me fixed up quick. John did a great job, very friendly and we have heat again! Would strongly recommend!

Technician Jon was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and helpful! He took the time to count all our vents and calculate the needs of our home to find the right furnace. We are very grateful we selected Doug's Repair for our furnace replacement.

They were able to fit us in sooner than the planned time frame so we could heat our home. Jon was our technician and he was friendly and professional and worked quickly.

I requested Doug's repair to come out and inspect my furnace just to make sure it is working efficiently for the winter season. I was told it would be $60 for the inspection and that the technician would discuss with me if any cleaning needed to be performed which would be another $80. The technician came out, did a great job of inspecting my furnace and cleaning it but didn't discuss anything with me about the need for cleaning or such. Ended up with a bill for $140 for which I was just expecting $60 because it only took him about 30 minutes. I have nothing against the technician but just wanted more communication before I ended up with a large bill that I didn't approve of. I emailed the company explaining this didn't seem fair and their response was that the tech was going to discuss it with me.

Jon did great job replacing our furnace he was professional & personable and answered all our questions only removed a star because scheduling was a little confusing but got it resolved

Had a great experience with Doug's Repair. Furnace went south after 15 years. Jason and Brian came to install a new one. They answered all our questions, were very patient with us, and did a great job on the install. They even changed a few things with our mechanical room and our intakes to help the furnace run efficiently and quietly. Previously it was so loud we couldn't hear the television. Would recommend these guys all day.

I thinks its sad that every poor customer review on here is met with arguments from the company on why the customer is wrong, instead of just saying to call and see how they can make it right.. All this does is solidify the review and looks unprofessional. We were thoroughly disappointed with our experience. We contacted Doug's on a plumbing issue and set up an appointment from 1-3pm. They told us it was $95 an hour. At 10:50 we got a message saying they were on their way, but had started charging us. They weren't even at our house yet! We tried to call a few times and were met with a busy signal when we tried to get customer support. Finally we got ahold of them and they said the technician had "accidentally" dispatched himself and would be on his way to us shortly. They told us we wouldn't have to pay for the mistake of the technician, but we would still have to pay for the drive time.....for him not doing any work...So if there was a traffic issue or if he stopped for a drink on the way we were just going to pay more. We told them to cancel and they did not attempt to make anything right at all. They didn't even understand why we were upset we would be charged for the drive time of the plumber.

I had a plumber come out twice to my house to fix a clogged pipe. The first time he cleared it, but ended up pushing the clog to the main drain. Called them back again and he said he couldn’t find an issue- but still charged me! Over $500 and he blamed it on the septic. Called another company and the problem was diagnosed and fixed within an hour. (Was NOT the septic tank) Would not recommend this company.

This is a review of their HVAC part of the business. We had a new system installed with duct work etc. Jon did an excellent job. There were some scheduling bumps but that is almost any construction project. We highly recommend them with any of your HVAC needs.

They were having problems with their phone system.
I tried to call for 2 weeks and finally sent a message through Facebook. It has been almost a month and I have not recieved a bid yet. In the reply from my message and a call, their representative said they were slamed. I understand, but wish the person who came out had told me that. He came early in the week and said he would sit down on Friday or Monday and write it up. Still nothing.
I can't rate their work but I can say if you are in a hurry to get your work done, it might not happen that quick.

Wayne and Corey did a great job putting my table together, a random project they were willing to take on. They did the task well, efficiently, and professionally. They also communicate well and let you know when they are coming unlike some companies.

We originally contacted them back at the end of May for a quote on replacing our plumbing. They gave us a great quote and scheduled us for about a month out.
The job was quick and painless, but the day after we noticed the crawl space was flooded. I tried calling their emergency number but there was no answer until after they opened, so it was pretty much pointless for them to have an emergency number.
Once we got ahold of someone the guy said he would be by that day. He never showed up but came by the next day and confirmed that our main line gave out. He let us Borrow his city such off bar so we could turn off our water while we weren't using it at night to keep the crawl space from flooding, but it took them over a week to finally come out and fix the main line. While digging the trench the guys ruined a part of our siding!
We are currently still waiting for our siding to get replaced!
They have been awful about keeping us updated through this whole process and there have been multiple time where someone has been scheduled to come out but never shows up or they never come to the door to tell us they were there!
Overall I am very disappointed with Doug's. The price was great but the customer service has been awful! There seems to be little to know communication between their dispatchers and the employees themselves! I'm just hoping that we are a one time case of this happening and that they really are a good company but I wont be using them again! I'd rather spend a little more to have better communication and customer service and not spend over a month and a half dealing with stupid issues right and left.

We called Doug's for some HVAC repair and they were awesome. They fixed it same day. You cant beat that now we don't have sit in our home and sweat all day.....

We had an issue with our furnace back in April 2020 and contacted Doug's repair because of the wonderful experience we had prior. Victor came out to repair the furnace and I am so thankful that his thoroughness and attention to detail prevented a disaster on another appliance! Thanks Victor!!

Initially I ran into a minor communication disconnect in scheduling and was about to call another repairman. I have to say that I'm glad I didn't as the guy who came to service my hvac (Jon Dutton) was very friendly and went out of his way to make sure I felt satisfied with his work. Jon literally saved the sale and turned this from a 1-2 star scenario into a 5 star scenario.

Edited to 2 stars. Updated on 12/18/24. Realized I never explained my 2 star review. The plumber who came didn't come with the tools to properly complete the job even though I informed them that last time I had an issue they needed a power rooter snake or whatever it's called. He opened up the line in the crawl space and the sewage spilled all over the place. He used my cooler to catch the waste and when he left, he simply threw a bunch of cat litter down all over the place and said if he cleaned it up it would be another 3 hours of work when it was his unpreparedness that caused the mess.

I called the company and they refused to accommodate any meaningful compensation for the experience including replacing my cooler full of human waste.
