Very pleased with the work. My deck needed to be scrapped , sanded and restained . Owner gave me the estimate and all work was completed as quoted. Office staff very polite and courteous. Person who did my deck was courteous, polite and professional. Work site was cleaned up before leaving and I was asked if I was happy with the work before he left.

SKM were very responsive, scheduling a review of the project on the next business day after my call and for the scheduling the work to be done 2 days after the review. Thomas was efficient and effective in completing the specified work with minimal disruption to the rest of the house and cleaned up the work area nicely, as expected. I wouldn’t hesitate calling SKM for my next project.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this home maintenance company. If I could give a negative rating, I would. I hired them to install ceiling fans and renovate my bathroom, but the entire process was a disaster. It took over a month to complete just two tasks due to the disorganization of their employees.

The ceiling fan installation was particularly frustrating. The technician was clearly inexperienced with electrical work, causing significant issues. I had to return two ceiling fans because he mishandled the installation, ultimately breaking both. Additionally, during the process, he damaged a breaker, which required me to hire a licensed electrician to replace it—costing me an additional $350 out of pocket a total cost of 1850$ to put in 2 celling fans and 1 light fixture.

The bathroom renovation was left incomplete. The contractor failed to install the back panel for the new sink and only partially completed the caulking on the molding. When I requested that he return to address these issues, he ignored me and never came back to finish the job.

To make matters worse, the electrical work required cutting into the wall, but the drywall repair was done poorly. Once again, I had to hire another company to fix their mistakes.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their lack of professionalism, poor workmanship, and unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistakes make them entirely unreliable. Avoid them at all costs.

I had a good experience with Doug and Jon. Jon arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it efficiently. He clearly explained the problem and provided helpful suggestions on making the wire route safer. The pricing was fair. I will hire them again.

I have an unusual foundation on my house. The outside foundation cement was chipping away and it was a real worry. SKM gave me a free estimate with a solution that made sense. They took the time to explain to me what they were going to do. They fixed the chipping cement and applied a colored sealant. They also tuck pointed my front porch steps and cleaned my gutters. No only do I have piece of mind now with the good job they did but also enhanced the looks of my house. Very nice people to deal with. They are fairly priced and I highly recommend them.

SKM just completed some multi-day in-home projects for us that we could not handle ourselves (fixing numerous bi-fold doors/tracks, tidying up a little deck work done by another contractor & replacing our under the sink cabinet flooring. Ed was the technician assigned to do the work and he was great! He was respectful and communicative, letting me know when he planned to start, when he was returning and checking in if there were any issues or delays. He cleaned up behind himself and made sure not to leave any messes behind. A job well done! Thanks Ed!

Have had them do smaller jobs several times and all the contractors have been great.. one person I would like to compliment is Dalton, he was quick to respond, cleanliness in his work, on time, and respected our home.. because of him, I will continue using this company for projects.

We recently had our 30-year-old backyard wood deck refurbished by SKM Property Maintenance, and the results are fantastic! The deck had significant wood rot, requiring dozens of boards to be replaced on both the floor and the railings. Finding someone skilled enough to restore such an old deck seemed like a challenge, but Nick, our technician from SKM, was outstanding. In all, it was a big project that he handled on his own. His attention to detail brought our deck back to life, and now it looks as good as new.

We decided on a two-tone paint for the deck, which perfectly complements the back siding and window treatments of our house. Even though this wasn't a new deck installation, the project was just as extensive, given the need to seamlessly blend the old wood with the new.

Nick and SKM exceeded our expectations, and we're thrilled with the final outcome. Highly recommend their services!

Kevin, who completed the painting project was great at keeping in touch and giving me updates on the progress and he did an excellent job.

Just got finished getting some work done on my house and my man Talrius did an excellent job. He is very friendly and personable, as well as skilled with his work and very efficient with his time. His plaster and drywall work is just perfect! I've been using SKM for about a year now and they have yet to disappoint.

We had some interior doors realigned, moldings installed, and new bifold closet doors installed. John K did an excellent job. He explained and answered questions, was particular in his work,cleaned up when finished, and was professional and pleasant.

We discovered SKM via a flyer left at our house. After reading some reviews we decided to give them a try as we had a few small jobs ideal for that purpose. We needed two light fittings installed on 12 ft ceilings (one inside and one in the porch); we also needed a 450 sq ft ceiling painting (partly 8 ft high and partly 12 ft high with stairs between the two levels); and finally we needed a bathroom extractor fan replacing and its ducting re-routing to a different outside wall.

Brad visited very quickly after our phone enquiry to review the requirements and prepare a quote. He was very good at understanding our specific needs and preferences and he prepared a comprehensive itemized quote within less than 24 hours. SKM's preference is to quote the labor and you buy the materials - that works well as long as you understand it (which we did, some some ther reviewers may not have). We purchased major items like paint, light fittings, extractor fan and associated materials (vent hose, external louvered vent, fasteners etc.). SKM's final invoice matched their quote other than adding on a few small consumable items (at cost) which we were unable to anticipate - such as paint roller supplies etc.

We had assumed we might have more than one crew to address the different types of job. We were surprised when one person showed up. But we shouldn't have been - our assigned handyman, Damian, is very versatile and approached all three jobs in a very business-like manner. He did everything very professionally, communicated well, listened to our preferences and cleaned up thoroughly upon completion. We couldn't have wished for a better person to address the variety of requirements we had. It was probably much easier for us to only have to interface with one person.

The only glitch we had was leading up to the job start. SKM had called following our initial 50% down payment to arrange a date and we were assured the job would start on that date between 8:00 and 10:00am. In the event we called around 8:30 to confirm it was still on (it was). But then we had to call the office again around 1:30pm because no one had appeared - that call involved leaving a message. Shortly after that we got a call from Damian who, due to another (urgent) job, was unable to start until the following day. Damian put long hours in that first day and completed all the painting (two coats) and the light fitting work. He came back for a half day immediately after the Holiday to do the extractor fan.

Apart from that initial timing glitch, we're extremely happy with everything. We'd recommend calling a couple of times just prior to the start to re-confirm the schedule is still as expected.

After a rough start, the owner came and provided me a estimate. The following Monday, Steve arrived and did a wonderful job on my deck, including making a roof on it. Thanks again Steve!

SKM Property Maintenance was very easy to work with for multiple home improvement projects. They always communicated with me and promptly scheduled the work. They arrived when they said they would and completed electrical and carpentry projects in one day. The technician, Tom, was friendly, hard working, and knowledgeable. He also showed a lot of patience and persistence to get the job done after running into a couple of hurdles. I would certainly use SKM again for future projects.

Worst experience possible, Terrible customer service, horrible workmanship, failed to perform items as contracted and then attempts a lien and credit ding. Doug and brad are just using CL subcontractors and use their name. Each tech has no direct connection to the company, thus unreliable service and poor workmanship. Great company truck, but each tech is in their own vehicle with no signage to the company, they are supposed to work for. Techs come clueless to the job, not even understanding what the project entails and products required. They use Home Depot as their go to store and bring no product when they arrive for the job. More of on the fly performance with no quality control from the owners or supervisors if any exist, Both brad and Dan avoid direct contact and use office staff as a go between. Never communicate directly except to take your money. Run away before trying to do business with this company, get city inspectors involved and helicopter the job if you do use them. Otherwise, they will screw your project up and run. Con Artist and a liar, report away DOUG,

SKM is a great company, I plan on using them for all my upcoming projects. Damien was my person who performed the tasks. He was very professional and the work was phenomenal.

Took a chance on these fine folks and and am delighted with the results. They replaced concrete steps, fixed outlets, replaced a bathroom fan. They will be my first choice in the future.

Working with the SKM guys has been great experience for me who is a senior senior citizen ..they help me in getting my bathroom done the way I wanted it to be and nothing was a problem for them or me .
